Im an Insurgency causal, I come back to it for some coop matches every few weeks or so and then leave it and find that a really good balance. I think people like me make up a lot of the player base

tbh I'm more disappointed by the fact that they dont really put as much effort into coop than pvp considering that most of the new stuff they are doing are now behind pvp, if they were to bring to modes that they done for pvp to coop then it would've been something good

I fully agree with you. I played this game almost everyday when it dropped in 2017, and it is now in an utterly abysmal state. From the dumb decision to not use the Workshop for mods, barely any new maps, or killing the campaign it was a mess. But what finally made me ditch the game was when they ruined survival instead of just copying the way it was in the original.

That neatly packs it together. I bought sandstorm half a year ago and played only a few hours. Recently I started again because I got recommended sick snipes. I enjoy the game for now, but I don't see it viable on a long term. Especially for content creators. He should do as he likes. Maybe come back from time to time, but in the end this channel is way too good to be an insurgency channel!

Honestly dude I couldn’t care less on what you make videos on. Your delivery, personality, and editing makes every video you do a treat. I almost EXCLUSIVELY use an m4 in sandstorm yet I have watched EVERY gun guide knowing I will continue to use a m4 regardless, yet I watch because it genuinely makes me laugh and brightens my day. Maybe it's for the best and whatever new project that NWI is working on will be better than whatever the hell insurgency in general just went through cause frankly I'm sure they can make a good experience once more, but was getting tired of insurgency and want to do something that they wanted the entire time and the fact that insurgency is getting a slow painful death, now it's make sense

This is the first game I seriously put time into. I was an LV30 noob who barely landed a kill when I started following and now I'm the LV500 vet who knows many maps like the back of my hand. Sandstorm wouldn't be such fun for me without your channel, but I feel more and more strongly that I'll need to move on to another game now. I really really wanted Sandstorm to succeed and get bigger but like you said it's never going to happen. I didn't even know Father Hank had left until I saw this because he was one of the few people in nwi that seemed to stick around and actually cared about the game. The gun guide format is very well done so I honestly don't mind at all what games you play because you always make it work, and I love the MWII content especially as someone also playing it a lot recently

But as that game slips into obscurity, his channel hasn't because he has dedicated himself to quality videos on a richer variety of games. Even making superior content in more obscure titles like TABG and EDF. I look forward to your future videos and am happy you didn't turn into Gregor from his operator how to's. He went from an engaging creator to a bitter curmudgeon who wanted to make valorant content, to going back to siege while making lower quality video. I've seen too many youtubers i liked get stuck making the same content on the same game for years, and when they finally try to switch either their community starts hating them, or the algorithm never picks up the new stuff. I think you're still at the point where you can make a switch and I sincerely hope that a transition works well for you. I've only been subscribed for 5 or so months, your channel got me into Sandstorm, and even though I'm not too into tactical shooters, Sandstorm was one of the very few I thoroughly enjoyed. Like you said though, there isn't enough updates to keep me playing for a long time. After a couple of weeks my friends just stopped playing it and moved onto some other game, and honestly that's a big factor to even get me playing a game. Recently, I only play games if my friends are playing with me and playing games by myself just feels like a waste of time unless it happens to be a game with a lot of progression that I also happen to be playing with friends.

I know this video is a year old now but its a damn shame you are finally moving on. I totally get it and for the exact reason you are quitting is the exact reason why i struggle to maintain a constant relationship with the game. Every time i play i wish there was more content, some new maps, more weapons, a better melee system, private lobbies and above all else better AI but yea it really doesnt seem to be a priority for the devs. By the off chance you see this i highly suggest Easy Red 2. That game is amazing

The low player count most likely is due to the really high skill floor wich is kinda sad and its really sad to see you move on from this incredible game but im happy to see you expand the channel and look foward to whatever you do next. Its not a high skill ceiling, its just horrible dev decisions. The game had 15,000 players at launch, and it had the entire old insurgency community on board, and the first 2 years of the game were not good by any means due to alot of the technical issues, hence why the player count never really went up. The devs have noone but mostly themselves to blame for making this franchise go to shit.

One change that will keep this game alive for years: make it a mostly coop PVE game. Thats why I and many many others picked this game up. To play a somewhat realistic game against bots or players. We thought, that there will be great private lobbies to play with...we didn´t get any. Making every map as an PVE experience and making it possible, to make private lobbies (I know you technically can....but it succs) will keep many player in the game.

From the outside it's obvious that Insurgency is a niche game at best and clearly isn't enough on its own to support a channel. The biggest draw imo were your in-depth guides that, while often hilarious, actually gave great info. Those videos remind of older JackFrags, Matimio, and LevelCap content on BF4, and I'm sure most people are at least somewhat familiar with that style. The problem is no one is doing that anymore. There aren't the huge playlists of gun guides on current shooters. In my opinion, and if you wanted to produce that sort of content, you would probably find great success expanding into most modern shooters with that same goofy but informative format that you've proven works. Personally I'd love to see Gun Guides for Ready or Not and especially Escape From Tarkov if that's a game you'd enjoy. Either way we're all here because we enjoying watching what you make, so we'll be looking forward to what comes next.

I have to admit I didn't watch the MW2 ones because I have somewhat of a grudge against cod itself ever since it became less of a fun arcady shooter and more of an instrument to keep low skilled players playing and spending as much as possible for skins. I do wish you you all the success you deserve with whatever content you decide to produce and I'll happily enjoy your vids as your sense of humor is pretty unique on this platform. Since sandstorm has launched I had bought it for about 7 friends, only one actually played it and it was for one damm week Finished high school, went through a bit of depression, in college for year and half Made friends in sandstorm, made enemies too in sandstorm Got a driving license, became a driver brother in home Got into vr since i saw shooters that play similarly to sandstorm I have my own car now I wrote an entire game story script cause of how much i loved the game setting Was in the early accuses to mod tools of the game when it was still under NDA, but cause of technical difficulties and luck of help (with the former mentioned depression) I left my map to broken for months, update and meet new problems that i can't get help for Got over 950 hrs in sandstorm, about 500 in the editor (tough am still shit in it) But now, after glasshouse, i can't play it for over half an hour Probably because i may overplayed it, or my brain wants me to do something else I do still love the moments i got from it But can't stay with it anymore since it has moved too much away from the direction I loved it in first place for Like at least now we have on pc similar games but they don't do it the same, for example RoN Before we had nothing other than ins2014 and rising storm (never played it though) if anything the problem was me, cause i really didn't have anything to play at that time Sandstorm was everything for me After sandstorm, i can't find any shooter i could invest time as i did with sandstorm, since am at what other may call it adulthood Will i replay it soon, in few years in retrospective? Probably, as that’s what I have been doing with racing games from the 2000s in this and last year The best 23 dollars I ever spent in steam to this day

Check out stalker anomaly with modpacks, its like singleplayer tarkov had a baby with a tactical shooter and fallout. Idk but it changed video games forever for me.. and if youre into modding you can mod this one until the end of time

Whatever you may end up choosing we all still here for ya, that much i can tell u. And this might just be how i feel and think but to me the game doesnt matter much ever its always the person who’s playing. i enjoy watching you as a person its because of your personality and just relatability. I can tell you put your heart into ur content and the finished product never fails. Its insane to me how many hours one puts into a video for it to come out as a 10 min video. People don’t see what’s behind the camera. The preparation, the work, the editing, script, right equipment…etc. All that to entertain us for 10 mins. Its honestly crazy but amazing. So really what i’m trynna say is you’ve developed a pretty loyal fanbase from what i can see and many of us aren’t going anywhere anytime soon so whatever game you do end up picking up just know that we’ll still enjoy your content. Who know’s maybe we’ll get some compilation clips of RoN or Warzone/MW2 Multiplayer funny moments like with sandstorm. Personally i’m all for it man, i get where you’re coming from but i can’t say i won’t miss sandstorm though of course. Always a special place in my heart. The thing that hurts the most is that like you said, all the old staff are gone. All the staff that made this game as fun as it was when I bought it have left and there's little chance NWI's next game will be even close to as much fun as Sandstorm was when I bought it over 2 years ago. Like others have said, you are partially why I bought Sandstorm but you are why I watch you, not Sandstorm.

I support this move you're making. I think you've got the personality and the energy to make something else work better than sandstorm. I've been a fan since it came out and I have also felt the slog of it all just getting stale. Much as I love it I can't stand one more round of push on crossing. Whatever game you move onto next I'll watch it for your presence, as I think you've got equal parts sincerity and personality to make a wide variety of content work. As a long time fan of the Insurgency franchise (I remember I started playing Insurgency 2014 shortly after Panj was added) I totally understand your grievances with Sandstorm. I personally played Sandstorm for a decent amount of time but went back to Ins 2014 because tbh the gameplay just feels overall better to me (even though I do miss a lot of the features Sandstorm added). The thing that I think a lot of people (including NWI) seem to miss about the franchise is that it INHERENTLY cannot be a mainstream fps. Given the way that it is structured with the low TTK and overall realism, it does not have the easy, addicting gameplay necessary for a mainstream game. Personally I really can't play any Insurgency game for too long, and that is because the mental energy that needs to be invested in a game like Insurgency is draining. That isn't a bad thing though, at least in my opinion. I love Ultrakill to death but by god I can not play more than a couple hours of it before I need a break. Draining/intense games have their place and I love them for that, but any attempt to get people "addicted" to playing them will only end in failure because it is inherently unsustainable. This is also why so many people buy Sandstorm but it never seems to have a lot of concurrent players: people can't spend a ton of time playing it like they can a simpler game like Battlefield or COD. NWI tried to make Sandstorm into a mainstream shooter but, in keeping it's core realism as an Insurgency game, only ended up creating some unfortunate middle child that both moved away from the franchises core audience while failing to produce a product that is able to function as a mainstream game. Also Snipes, if you ever end up reading this, try out Ins 2014 just for kicks sometime. You can play some regular PVP or Coop, although I most recommend trying out a server like Bot Massacre or Sernix. It might give you a bit of extra insight into the original dream of the franchise.

I honestly don't understand why people make dramatic and depressing videos like this shit. Why can't people just play games to enjoy them!?! I hate the term "writing on the wall". I haven't seen it personally. Insurgency Sandstorm is one of my favorite games of all time and I'll always continue to play it because there's nothing else like this game. What other fps offers 8 player co op? The gunplay is satisfying and the weapons have a punch that no other game offers. The sound design is incredible. Just play the game casually every now and then and I guarantee you'll have just as much fun. This is why I don't take games seriously or competitively. I play for fun. When I get bored, I play something else and I go back to the game when I feel like I'm in the mood for it
