You should start an iron, you don't even realize when MTX offers, DxP, etc are announced in game. Best way to play.

yeah, did that myself as well. Be it DXP, P2W, only doing bosses cuz they drop stuff worth more money, ect. Ironman removes all of that

Runescape “3” = pay for graphics OSRS = play for fun You aren’t consistently bombarded with promotions on Osrs which is the one thing I actually enjoy. Allow me to make the decisions without forced influence. I was playing both up until around 2017-2018 and kept on playing osrs because it’s actually fun.

Barely anyone plays for fun on OSRS. It's all for achievements. Not too many people talk because it's inefficient.

Come to old school and make an ironman. Its what I did when I quit for similar reasons (8 years ago, sorry it took you so long to find this out). Best choice I made

RS3 is too overwhelming with how hard Jagex pushes MTX. I was nearly maxed when I stopped playing and have zero desire to pick it back up. I'd suggest an RS3 or OSRS iron. I've been on the latter after maxing my OSRS main and it's the most fun I've had playing RuneScape since I was a little kid.

I feel the same way. I've been maxed since 2012 and very close to comp. I will get comp cape finally and call it a day. It needs to end at some point and that will be a good point to pat myself on the back. OSRS is where it's at. I'm not maxed on there yet. See you in-game

Someone who has a full time job, a wife and 3 kids and a house to maintain the bundles are a blessing. I don't have the time to put in time everyday. I honestly don't know how most of you do it so if you have any tips let me know :D

I understand your point, however, those of us who HAVE put the thousand hours into it have our experience cheapened significantly when you can just walk in and be on the same field as me. Like seriously why the fuck did i support jagex for 10 years when you can throw half of what i did in subscription and infinitely less time....

Most things are pay to win these days, or they have some sort of store. 99% of companies are literally money hungry, care very little for the players, and just want the money. Edit: I should clarify that i stopped playing RuneScape ages ago because of all the little store things and costs of things. I just didn't find it fun having all this stuff thrown in your face all the time.

I'm with you! I dont blame you for leaving runescape and I understand the wanting more money but I think they fail to remember the money has to come from players. No players means no money. I just have zero faith in this company but you are correct that tons if not all are pay to win to some degree

Not to say it's fixed, but the date of recording this video must have been 2023. Jagex has been sold again since this video, and has made marginal moves toward less P2W MTX. I'd like to hear what your concerns are about today's MTX.

They aren't gone yet, nor do I believe they shall ever be. The 2nd clip on osrs was current. I dont watch a ton of rs3 videos but I try to remain in the know. I took the survey about MTX only for them to turn around and up membership costs. It's just frustrating.

My irl friend shares the same opinion. I'm the exact opposite, so we can't play our favorite game together. It's unfortunate He says the nostalgia isn't enough to get into the game. I say RS3 isn't the Runescape i grew up with. Sucks

@pbmander3949 I started rs in 2001, loved rs the entire time till rs3 came out, hated it. Now I love it and feel it's the better game. Everyone has their preferences though and overall both games are good. Just gotta find people to play with really that you can enjoy the games with.

I couldn't do osrs either. I've been there done that back in the real 07 times. No ty to the most boring grindscape in the world. New version of 07scape (osrs) is filled with just bots, old players who went for 'nostalgia' and little kids who are completely new to runescape and fell for the osrs trap before they could experience rs3 at all. Sad reality.

You can play the game whichever way you want. Even though mains get loads of lamps, stars, proteans and so on, ironscape isn't as hard either. The game is entirely easyscape and has been for the past decade or so. Every skill is easy now for all players main or not.

What are you Winning? Who are you beating with mtx? If your not front page Noone cares. New skill Necromancy. Bond prices crashed to less than 50m. People bought all the rits items needed. That is pay to win. Bonds is anything you want

Well its more so for an example years ago I'd want to get in the top 10k or if im really pushing myself top 1k . Now it feels less rewarding and frustrating that someone could spend money and get to the same place I am then actually playing the game. It might be dumb but its the way I feel. You are correct about bonds. Its a game changing mtx. When I was younger I'd buy bonds instead of earning gp in game because I could make better gp per hour working a real life job then playing the game for it. Not something im proud of but I do have an understanding of why people would choose mtx instead of skipping it over

@@cheshires_top_cat that makes total sense. Im the same in that it was easier to buy a few bonds here and there because I worked alot. Today I noticed yet another Halo mtx item. I understand it gets old but when I quit a while and went to console gaming mtx is everywhere. Spending $60- 70 bucks on a game that was completed after 2-3 weeks. I respect that those who play osrs but I can't see myself starting over after investing so much time and effort. A good clan is the heart of the game I've found. GOOD People.
