f90 M5. Can’t decide over g80 or f90 since they’re starting to be priced around the same used and apparently fbo for both is around the same speed as well.

G80 if you need prefer a sporty handling focused sports car, M5 is a high hp cruiser better for straight lines. M5 still handles amazing in corners but isnt meant for that like the G80. Comfort and daily ability is better with the F90, but the $$ comes with with the territory

I want an M car for sure but the only one I want would be a G80 M3. An F80 is too similar & in some ways is a step down (in my opinion). The G80 is the only BMW i'd trade my M340 for!

Yeah that’s what i’m saying. Bmw sedans Have the best steering feel of the german trio. The audi of similar would have slightly better stability but the driver feel is way better in the 330 or M340

It isnt bad but it does have a lot of body roll. It doesnt handle bad but its just not like WOW. After driving a few really good handling cars lately, thats what I feel this car lacks. The xdrive never slips out but this car definitely has a good amount of body roll

Thats a big question i have to think about! The only thing I would keep is the wheels if I get a G80 because they also fit. Still debating but i might be more likely to part out to get a little extra money for mods

@@GearsAndGains1revert to stock! Unless you can get someone to buy the car with the mods priced in. Took my downpipe, valve controller, strut bars and spacers off. Got about 70% of the cost of the mods back

G80 used is $80k and that’s probably being generous. Send your DME out to FEMTO that’s another $1500, license $550. Run OTS map or custom tune $900 for FBO. Used G20 $40k for an xDrive, $20k you can do turbo, trans, fuel, and tune.

True the M340 is a lot cheaper, I just want more power & a lot more out of this car that I can't get unless I spend a ton in mods. Was thinking I can build a G80 on the channel with everyone so they can follow along on the journey from the start!

991.2 Porsche 911. The 3.0 tt H6 engine is just as tuneable as the b58. If not more.

valid reasons but a downpipe tune s58 makes 700 wheel not 800. both motors past say 750 wheel become unreliable to an extent. the s58 is known to have weaker rods and both have a head gasket issue so if you were looking to making a bunch of power you are at the same spot cause we know that a s58 is considerably more expensive just to get your hands on. when it comes to handling you are right. the only way to fix that is coils, sway bars, and control arms which is pretty expensive but makes a world of a difference.

With e50 and the right tune I'd say closer to maybe 750 i think. I just feel like the M3 is a better all around car & with just bolt ons its more than enough. To me its also more special so it would be a great car for youtube too!

I was really looking to upgrade my E90 328i. It sounds, like I expected these cars don't really have a personality. The E90 is so quirky, definitely not fast but quick turn ins, handling and feel is why i'm so compelled to keep it.

My friend has an e92 m3 & man that thing is so much better driving than my car. Its raw, analog feeling, and sounds great even though it is much slower. The newer BMWs are great & fast but you just don't feel as connected to the car

Thats true. I thought my m340i was fast when i first tuned it but now its like everything else is slow to me & even this car feels slow now. Remember when they talked about a 10 second car in fast & furious & now every slightly modified BMW on the streets is a 10 second car

I think what would be fun is a cheaper build. Like a Miata or type r, perhaps a Nissan Z.. not many on the platform are doing something like a Z. But it seems social media has a massive interest in bmw M cars. All the KZbinrs insta people I follow are running modern era M cars with big followings. So maybe that’s good for numbers.

3 series aren’t that expensive to maintain…. Because 1 FCP Euro offers lifetime warranty on OEM, & OE parts at a discounted price, & if you order parts from BMW of manhattan online for pick you get the parts cheaper! 3 series aren’t really that bad to maintain.

i think I kinda just reliazed I shouldnt continue upgrading it unless I plan on racing it, but I do want a car that can do it all & handle well too. A g80 would be perfect for me but I think the only american car i really like is a ZL1 but idk how good those are for modifying. G80 might just be the way to go, plus it would be good for the channel!

This is not a good financial decision respectfully. Your putting yourself in a even worse moneypit with a g80. M tax is real. Maintenance is so easy on the b58 its funny, and your gonnabe dropping 80k+ on a g80, but your complaining about building the trans and upgrading the turbo? It is more expensive 100%, but I am mostly doing it to have something viewers want to watch. If I can use it to make great videos for my viewers & earn money from youtube, it's a win win for me. The payments are a lot don't get me wrong, but if that is covered by youtube while im also working, that seems do-able for me
