Thanks for the update! I’m on Ozempic since May 2023 and lost about 20 lbs so far, not as fast as your weight loss. I had gallstones at least since 2013 when they were discovered due to abdominal pain. I’m like you, didn’t want any organs removed from my body. It took a couple years to get used to the new way to live with gallstones, meaning being mindful of fried, fatty or greasy foods I eat (love oxtails!). I haven’t had a “flare-up” in at least 6-7 years, so my gallbladder and I are still together 😂. I don’t blame you for continuing your injections. You don’t want to lose the progress you’ve worked so hard for. My doctor prescribed me Ozempic knowing I already had gallstones, thinking the benefits of me losing weight outweigh the risk of flaring up my gallstones. So far, so good. I think it helps I’m losing weight slowly, about 20 lbs over 5 mos. Please continue to update us, it makes us feel we’re not alone on our journeys. God bless!

Congratulations on your weight loss! I had my gallbladder removed in 2009. I had issues after weight loss surgery. Anyway, I started tirzepitide in February. My doctor prescribed it in like November or December of last year but I was afraid to start it. Finally started in February. Was 209 and now I'm about 116. My goal weight was 145 and I totally blew past it. My doctor made me lower the dose back down to the starter dose to maintain. We'll see how things go. Thankfully not losing anymore. Never thought I'd ever say that!!!

I am on the we go we as well. I started in March and my weight was 2:40, now I am at 1 82 to 185. I have plateaued myself, I don't feel like 70 lb in 7 months is rapid weight loss, I believe that is a slow weight loss because you're averaging 2 lbs per week and that's good. Long as you're eating for your body type that will help a lot as well. Just thought I would share my thoughts as well as my opinion.

@@JuicyIsOurMotto ABSOLUTELY!! Here you go. Days 1 - 6: Slowly sip/drink 1 cup of pure unsweetened cranberry juice(the bitter kind) each day for 6 days. Drink the juice each morning at least 2 hours before you eat. When you eat avoid fatty foods, natural and artificial. I ate white rice and steamed veggies ONLY. On the 6th day: Do not eat anything after 6 pm. At 6 pm, take 1 Tbsp Epsom salt with a full glass of water mix and drink Around 8 pm repeat 1 Tbsp Epsom salt with a full glass of water. Drink Then at 10 pm - mix and drink quickly, 4 oz. olive oil and 4 oz. lemon juice. Go to bed and in the morning you will pass any gallstones you may have. The Epsom salt acts as a laxative to quickly remove the gallstones from the intestinal tract. Note: You can substitute the cranberry juice with apple juice. However, you will have to drink 1 quart of apple juice but you can drink it all throughout the day. I prefer the cranberry juice since the apple juice is full of sugar There is a book called the Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush by Andreas Moritz

Hi I'm new to following you but I wanted to let you know my experience. I developed gallstones at around my son's 3rd to 4th birthday and it's known to be common after giving birth. I had issues before but never really connected it to my gallbladder . I would highly recommend that you do it I was at the same mindset that know I wasn't and God put it there for a reason however I waited and a gallstone got out blocked my bile duct and I got jaundice and all that toxin went through my body. It was incredibly painful and I recommend that you have it taken out it's laparoscopic it's not a big deal and it'll save you a lot of heartache in the future those gallstones don't go away they just get bigger and they fill up your gallbladder and then your bile has nowhere to go but back up in your system. I think you're beautiful and I love that you are Frank and honest and relatable. I too have had a long battle with my weight since giving birth my son is now 29. Especially if you're going to take ozempic I would get your surgery because if you don't and you do get pancreatitis it is horrible and the pancreas is something that's very hard to treat and pancreatitis can turn into pancreatic cancer which is the deadliest of all. I'm rooting for you❤

I completely understand your concern about getting your gallbladder removed. It is weird removing an organ. I had to get mine removed because I was getting attacks pretty much every other day and was hospitalized. Since having it removed, I feel a lot more urgency when having to go #2 (TMI but the truth.) Also I am much more sensitive to greasy/fatty foods in general. So, it is definitely an adjustment not having it. I am still getting used to my bodily changes after a year of it being out. I was prescribed Wegovy in July so my gallbladder was out already and I seem to be tolerating it pretty well aside from feeling nauseous sometimes. I am currently down almost 30lbs since July so I am happy about that. Seeing One-derland for the first time in many years is an amazing feeling! I still need to get in the habit of a regular workout routine so I can maintain the weight off once I lose another 60lbs or so. I am worried about what my journey will look like once I am not on Wegovy anymore because I was never able to lose weight without it. So we shall see! As always, thanks for sharing your story!

First thanks so much for all the information. I wanted to let you know what happened to me. I was on semaglutide also and started having gallbladder problems but I did not know what the pain was until my final attack and I ended up in the ER and they told me it had to come out. That night I ate really bad fried foods from a party and ended up in agony pain. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days before they could get my gallbladder and pancreas stable enough to have the surgery. I guess my advice is if you want to keep your gallbladder is Not to eat any Fried Foods. I think that was my big mistake. I am sad to not have my gallbladder but I had massive stones and needed to go. I am starting back on semaglutide but very slowly. I am afraid of pancreas problems so taking it slow. Please keep us posted.. I am following you closely. Thanks

Coming from someone who has had emergency gallbladder surgery. I commend your doctor. You don't want PC I am happy for you. One on my sisters went down the route of weight loss like you. My gallbladder has been gone since 1989. Took a while to learn to eat again but know it those crappy foods that lead you down this road. Slow and steady with awareness is best without drugs. I lost 68 lbs without drugs. I walked fasted 14-16 hours and walked 5-6 miles took time but I am so much better for it. I was on crutches with a cane. Prior cancer survivor I am 61 lost my weigh over the last 15 months. You will stall just enjoy the journey. Much love EDIT: How do you manage, I get up earlier, I purchased a treadmill, weighted vest (for walking), free weights, total gym and a couple of walking shoes. You can do this like you said they were going to eventually take you off anyway. Please take care of yourself. Start small its in the foods, processed, added sugars. I am still working on my journey. Be selective start small. You will need figure out your why you need to do this and it is the why that will keep you coming back. Please stop holding on to the crutch.

It's literally not a crutch but a real treatment for insulin resistance and homore imbalance in many people. Comments like this sound ridiculous. It's like telling a bipolar person to go off their meds, sleep better, get more exercise and it will all be great. Some people have medical issues that need treatment with ...shock!...medicine. I'm sure you've told diabetics they just need to eat less sugar and they can stop their insulin. That's not how any of it works. Stop shaming.

not shaming i have been diabetic for years and believe me i know its a struggle. I have watched many in my family die from complications of this disease loose arms and legs as well so no shaming. My comment was based on what she stated in the video. Is it hard to loose weight with diabetes, thyroid cancer, pcos, beginning stage ckd, psoratic arthritis, and psorasis gout yes. I live this on a daily basis. I am not a normal weight but after being drugged for years I decided to do it by learning to control my insulin levels. I have lost 67 lbs and working towards it every day of my life. Yes its a struggle I live it. Don't assume I live this life. I have been insulin resistant since i was 18 @@kdijack1089

Hi - I just found your videos as my doctor is prescribing Wegovy for me, so I'm looking for real-person reviews - this gets a little long I'm sorry but wanted to share my story with you a bit - I actually had lost 70 lbs through a local hospital-monitored program of shakes totaling 800 calories a day but had started to gain it back slowly then I got severe pancreatitis that was caused by my gallbladder and its stones - it was so bad they had to rush me by ambulance to the hospital to have emergency surgery to remove it. It felt like someone had thrown a baseball into my insides - it was not a fun time. I fell into a dark depression about it - I'm still kind of in a dark place about losing an organ, but it was necessary - I could have died from where my levels were with the pancritius. Pancritiius is when your pancreas swells up because your system isn't working right and flushing the everyday toxins that it needs to flush, so it is some serious stuff. Just wanted to give you the input from my experience to help you with your decision-making process. From the depression, my weight started slowly slipping back, and now, 11 months later, I'm 30 lbs heavier than when I started the diet that had helped me lose that 70 lbs to start with. So I'm starting over... hoping the wegovy can help get me back to the light. I will be praying for you - I feel fate led me to your video today since it has only been 7 hours since you posted. I'm happy to answer any questions about gallbladder removal from a patient perspective.

I'm so happy for you guys that had a positive experience on your weight lost journey on Ozempic. I was on Ozempic for 6 months and only lost maybe 5lbs. It did help with my appetite to the point that I really did not crave food all day long. My side effects were so painful that I had to stop the medication. I felt depressed and the pain I was in when I did have a bowel movement was awful, throwing up shaking and in tears from the pain. I drank water and cranberry juice all day long. I wish I could have had a more positive experience.

You do what is best for you. Trying to save the gallbladder is the right move. Once it's out, you may experience heartburn, diarrhea, stomach/intestinal cramping, and a loss of vitamin absorption. You can take bile supplements, probiotics ect...but its a lot of work for me (I also have IBS). I am glad you waited as the grass aint always greener without it. You wanting to wait and try to solve this naturally is a good start, stick to it. That way you have no regrets. Hopefully, flare-ups will subside with healing and time. Just watch your diet from what they say you stay away from. Those flare-ups are something real. If you remove the gallbladder down the road, look into bile salts, probiotics, and vitamins as absorption will go down. You may also experience pain, gas, and diarrhea. Chocolate, spicy food, and dairy all used to set me off.

After using Wegrovy the weight gain is real and it's not just from eating. I got pregnant while on the Wegrovy because it's a new drug there are not a lot of studies on the effects on pregnancies. I'm almost five months pregnant baby is growing healthy and all tests I had so far have been normal. My weight however been crazy. I currently weigh 241.6 before pregnancy I was 198.2. The weight gain is not just from baby and pregnant things but also from stopping the drug. I'm being closely monitored by my weight loss management doctor ( who prescribed me the drug). Last appointment I was asked did I wanted to get back on the drug while pregnant. I turned it down because I rather be affected by it than the baby. Anyway, keep us updated!

If i don't balance out the dosages, i lose too much weight an begin to get that telltale Wegovy face. Now, i use the shots to just keep my weight in check. I have contemplated quitting many times. But, i just had to learn how to manage this medicine. Once your metabolism is reset, it gets easier to manage the weight loss.

Those gallstones can go dormant so to say, for a long time, I had a flair up then it was a year before they came back. I wasn't going to have them it out but eventually did (turned out to be nothing). Medical people along the way told me it's possible for them to stay dormant despite it being usual that they do become symptomatic again. I always thought the smartest thing was to hold out as long as you can.

I had my gallbladder removed about 6 months ago and I'm STILL experiencing horrible side effects. Plus, due to complications, my stomach is mutilated with keloid scars. I can't eat ANYTHING anymore due to my body not being able to break food down. Every day it seems like I discover something else I can't eat. Now, the good news is that I am on my weight loss journey and Wegovy helps me not even want to eat, which means I'm less sick from not having a gallbladder. But I'm not sure if it's worth it. I've had 2 other organs removed, my uterus and thyroid, and losing the gallbladder has complicated my life the most. Even more than thyroid cancer. So you're smart to pursue every other option before a cholecystectomy. Just my 2 cents.
