Have you ever felt, like time is always running? Like you're unable to keep up with life? I've started making this film during the first months of last year, when I felt lost and directionless - coming to the conclusion, that there is only one way for me to deal with this situation, that's why I'm taking a year off.
Shot on Panasonic Lumix GH5.

Hi Just! This is an awesome video and very inspirational, I was definitely able to relate, now that I've finally figured out what and how I want to enjoy my life, doing what best fulfills me and saying no to other things even if it means making a bit less money. I'm also a youtuber and videographer by profession, but now starting to produce for myself. I found your video through a skillshare class I joined. Keep it up man! New subscriber here :)

Finally got a chance to check out ur channel after you left a comment on my post in the slow growth community. I gotta say bro, you’re a serious filmmaker and storyteller!!! I wish YT would push content like this more (I mean I dont even know why not, r u kidding me!!) and I’m writing this in hopes that YT algorithms would hear me or read my text, and start pushing this content to more people!! If there’s one thing I wish there was in this video, is more sound design, (I’m talking about atmospheric sounds here, not foley) especially towards the end (when the shots sped up) cuz it felt kinda naked and not immersive enough to me.. but that might just be me hahaha!! Otherwise.. holy crap, what a video, what a story, and what a piece of art you created here!
@JustWojtek
@JustWojtek 2 жыл бұрын
thanks so much Abu! I dearly appreciate every word you wrote 🙏 and we'll get there YT wise, we'll get there. If it's about sound design, you might enjoy the newer creations, SD has become one of my most favourite parts of the process. Although I like to keep it subtle, so for the full experience headphones are advised 😉😁

This is a topic I'm really into at the moment - I really loved watching your story. I came across this video through Dan Mace's Skillshare class, I'm really happy I clicked onto it :) How's the year off chasing time going? PS I'm reading "Four Thousand Weeks" by Oliver Burkeman at the moment, I think you might enjoy it.

It's going great! A bit anxious at times, because humans brains don't like uncertainty, but overall it feels (very) right :) "Four Thousand Weeks" sounds like a great read, thanks for the recommendation!

Consumerism is keeping people In debt. The more your monthly debt. The more time u will spend at work. If you make low wages per hour. You will have to work more hours per week taking away from ur life. Buy a cheap car, low payments, short term contract. Buy cheap cell phone. Wear cheap clothes. Live in a cheap ghetto empty Apt. DNT BUY BULLSHT. OWN NOTHING. WORK 80 HRS A WEEK FOR 1 YEAR. SAVE EVERYTHING!! Coming from an ex Long haul trucker who lived in a truck 😂 they paid me lots of money to live in a truck. I owned nothing paid no rent nothing but a cell phone bill. People but too much sht. Now a college student I live cheap and my apartment is completely empty. Tv, bed, sofa. Dnt collect junk in your home. I’ve learned to live happily with no possessions . Less of my money goes to trash. I’m definitely not used to paying rent so I found the cheapest decent apt I could find. Y would I pay rent when I’ve adapted to living in a small vehicle space. If you make low ass wages you will have to work 2 jobs to make enough money to take a year off from working or to fund watever venture you have planned a business, training for higher wages, vacation. If you live cheaply every month you can save thousands instead of giving thousands away. Over months you have $10-30k. Time=money. The more money u have the more time spend away from work time for urself and to focus on those 14 month school programs or the months is takes to start a business. I know guys who grow 1 acre of cannabis and make $250k cash in 7 months time. Just sayin dnt be caught in that corporate/ government trap of being a slave to BS laws. Wether ur sellin grass or ur ass get ur hustle on.

Seems like you have a quite unique experience, although I will say there are differences (and similarities) between America and Europe - it would be a bit of a stretch to generalise it.
