Honestly, I was hoping to get details about her being a "successor" to the Marechaussee Hunters, but having an introspective Story Quest like Neuvillette's would be a welcome one too.

The situations between the regions are completely different. Raiden was an evil dictator who mercilessly murdered anyone who questioned her authority. And thats why mihoyo just sweeps all the bad stuff under the rug because they cant remind the players that raiden is the embodimwnt of pure evil. And sara had to blindly follow her master. Fontainians have more freedom to question the government and are actually given a choice whether or not they partake in the duel. Inazumans never had any choice. They either submit or die. Clorinde has no reason to bear the guilt of the duel because its never her choice to enact it. Its not even her masters choice. She only complies with the defendants wishes. If they choose to duel, thats on them.

Actually no. You have to CHALLENGE a Duel before the Throne to Kujou Sara. That's how Tomo died. He actively went up and challenged the Sakoku decree not forced to Challenge it.

Hmm.. it feels like author already imagined whole set qualities for the character we barely know:) Well, maybe she is, she can be. Im well stacked with electro to wish for a new one but story.. Hope her quest will be dedicated to her personal life. Maybe she love to garden flowers or maybe she is a great seamstress, or have full collection of Chiori's dresses.

On a more serious note, how do you feel about her story quest now that it's out? On one hand it had none of what you were expecting but i really enjoyed it as it gave us some backstory and showed clorinde's nerdy and goofy side when she's off work, and also her current dynamic with navia which is very heartwarming

There’s like 0% chance of that happening. Genshin has genuinely good lore and world building hidden away in ingame books and artefact stories however when it comes to the moment to moment beats of archon and story quests it after falls flat.

Theres a lot of things wrong with the Inazuma Archon quest due to pacing and not enough patches to deal with Inazuma. The writers got better overall it so theres hope

Back when her earlier concept was revealed, she had the codename "Captain R", with the "R" being for either Rhinedottir, Ragnvindr (Diluc's Clan) or even Lawrence (Eula's, as both the "L" and "R" letters share the same kanjis in Japan), and that she was supposedly a character from Mondstadt. But now that I see that, Clorinde looks like a mix of Mondstadt's Big Three (Jean, Diluc and Eula). She wields a sword like Jean, has Diluc's attitude and her color palettes resembles Eula's (minus the hair and eyes, of course).

why? arlecchino's was one of the best. I was worried after that entire inazuma disaster with the Shogun and Kokomi but I have hope now with Fontaine. Fontaine never misses.

Did you maybe have your own perception of what she should have been like as a fleshed out character, and when she released and was more nuanced than literally just 2 voicelines and a teaser, you didn't like that? If so that's a personal opinion, and youre welcome to hold it, but without explaining what you mean, it's a poorly defended opinion

I hope that they don't make her a lesbian attached to the hip to Navia. Like please, god, make her her own woman, her own character. Please god don't have her get lesbian tease syndrome like Beidou and Ningguang or Yae and Ei where they legit only show up together. It's stupid. Please let them be their own character without ship teasing.

Beidou and Ningguang are definitely lesbian and the dialogue we’ve seen 100% supports that. But Yae and Ei were literally just friends so the “ship teasing” was more on the fandom (like always) seeing two characters being friendly = they’re banging.
