This is nonsense. The iPad Pro is NOT a main computer substitute. Apple has purposely crippled iPadOS to prevent it from being used as such. The mini is the most useful iPad. I'll probably end up biting a maxed-out iPad Mini 7... and I'm a Samsung S9 Ultra guy (14.6”.)
@paullebon323Ай бұрын
Nope. The iPad Mini 7 has turned out to be garbage. Apple didn't really upgrade the design. So, I won't be buying any Apple products for the foreseeable future.
@vernabailey367127 күн бұрын
The first iPad Pro I bought was a 9.7-inch model. It was the perfect size for me. They discontinued it because every competitor was going bigger and bigger. I never wanted the mini because you couldn't use the pencil with it at first. My prediction is that it will never come back, or they will phase out the mini in favor of it. But we'll hate whatever they charge for it. It's going to be costly.
@petucker548Ай бұрын
Use my 6 every day. I pulled the trigger immediately on the 7. I bought the 256K which cost $600 and got a $230 trade-in for my 64K iPad Mini 6 for an out of pocket $370. For me, that’s a bargain. I get a faster processor, four times the memory, a faster USB, Pencil Pro support, improved WiFi and Bluetooth and a brand new device.
@Bruceneuman4 ай бұрын
If budget is a concern then choose among the 11” iPads for their overall versatility. But, do not ditch your old devices, especially if you have an iPad mini lying around. I use three iPads for work. The Apple ecosystem means I can move from device to device pick up where I left off. That means three times the battery life if needed. The iPad mini is still a great device to pick up on the run, especially for note taking or referring to notes. I am not so sure I will want yet a larger iPhone in my pocket. My 14 ProMax is already as large as I care to carry around in a pocket. So, the mini still fills a need. I actually would prefer an iPad Mini in the $350 or less range.

I got my iPad mini as an e-reader because the text was just too small on my iPhone 4s. With a notebook cover it could pass as a Kindle which many of the others on the bus had so I wouldn't look like "that guy" with an iPad. It's CRAZY portable. Big enough but NEVER too big. Light enough to read in bed. The Kindle is a dedicated device that can only display Kindle books. Most of my ebooks and PDFs are in Apple Books. And the iPad can do so much more than a Kindle ever could. It's the size of a half-page of letter-sized paper which is PERFECT for my purposes. When the physical home button on my old iPad mini broke I considered replacing it with an iPad mini 6, but the 6 is getting long in the tooth. I'm holding out for the highly anticipated NEXT iPad mini.

@Faiz Aly, i wouldnt recommend this to anyone who's looking to use this device seriously. I stream mobile games on this and the form factor is perfect, BUT, ive had to replace it four times in the last 2 years (not joking). First two replacements had charging port issues, third had a software issue preventing me feom connecting to servers, now on the fourth the pixels started dying off in the area where i was constantly moving my thumbs (virtual dpad area). I repeat, DO NOT buy this tablet for gaming!

Everybody will have a different setup based on their needs. For me I’m struggling with figuring out if I want the Max or regular Pro. Which one I pick will determine which way I will go with a tablet. My situation is that I’m getting the new MacBook Air when it comes out. If I get the Max, I won’t get an iPad at all. If I get the 6.3 inch iPhone, I will most likely get an iPad mini. I leaning just going with the Max and see what Apple do with the new home pod. It supposedly will have a tablet dock of some sort. If that’s the case, that will give me a reason to have a mini docked to that.

I adore my mini but it needs more ram desperately and could also use more storage. Would definitely prefer a better screen, but despite using my 12.9” M1 Pro for work, I’m not too pressed for that. That said, I definitely notice the worse speakers but that’s an issue with physics

I want an improved display on the iPad Mini and more storage on the base model. I want it to stay at the same price point or lower. I don't want it to get any bigger. I want to be able to use it with one hand, holding it while I'm lying down or whatever. What I REALLY want is more software related: I want to be able to annotate books right on the book pages itself with my Apple Pencil - with lots of various color choices. Neither the Apple Books app or the Kindle app offer this feature. What a waste! Kobo app offers it - come on Apple and Kindle! 🙂
