I just sent it to my 14 year old god twins. I've shared your videos with them in the past. At 18 their mom expects them to be out of the house and I think this offers a tremendous perspective for ALL ages.

I'm curious if your now regretting your life choice as well as all the talk about how exceptional france is compared to the Us in light of the mass riots that have occurred there. Still think its such a perfect place?

I watch this and can’t help but feeling joy for you and the life you’ve created for yourself. So proud and full of love for you. We need to talk. I think so many people should watch this and understand how important it is to create your own path. No one can decide your life for you. Only YOU can. ♥️

I shared this three minute video with the intentions that this message can be shared with large amounts of people! The biggest platform I have is here on KZbin so this is my best shot of getting it out there :) (if you guys take 1 minute to share this video with someone you know that could also help a lot!) I want people to know that if you are just graduating high school or even if you are 45 and just decided you want to completely change directions in life, regardles you still have the POWER to choose your OWN path. I am so happy that you were able to take that away from this video. That is exactly the message I want to share with all of you. I'm sending you lots of bisous!xx -Cec

This video was so doifferent from the rest. The editing style and narration were amazing. Love it. But breaks my heart everytime you start the goodbye France vibe. :'3

Thank you I'm glad you like the different style of editing and narration. I had so much fun creating and editing it! Also in regards to leaving France I remind myself of this quote, "Don't cry because it's over smile because it happened." Changes are hard but the next adventure commences! :)

Amazing video! I found your channel recently because I'm learning French but this video hits home in other ways. I am in my 40s; the first time I left the US to live abroad was in my 20s. Since then, I have lived more years abroad in my adult life than in the US. I am about to move to another country I've never been to for work after living in the US in the past 2 years. I am super excited for this new move, just as I am every time I embark on a new location and adventure. As you said, moving to a new environment and having to deal with new and sometimes challenging situations help create growth and deep self-awareness. I find the process actually necessary for my personal development, no matter how many times I've done it. Thanks for a great video and for encouraging others to look beyond the confines of the conventional life path. You're an inspiration. Merci!

Your message has made me feel that I have been able to live up to my goal of attempting to portay myself as authentically as possible online. Not only sharing the good but also the tough side of things because there is beauty in both. My intentions are to inspire and if I was able to do that for just one person my day has been made. Thank you so much for your sweet message.

In fact, have never left the states and the closest thing of leaving the country is Canada... 😅 Best wishes in your journey forward!

I just want to thank you for making this video. It is personally a dream of mine to be able to study in France, and to possibly even live there for the rest of my life. My parents are constantly pressuring me to be the very best and to do what they expect me to do. But I have decided that I want to do what I expect of myself. I want to live out a life that I will actually be happy in and enjoy. I am prepared to take the risky, less traveled road for the ultimate goal of achieving what I want out of life. I am tired if people telling me what I can and can't do, or when people give me side glances when I tell them my ambition of studying in France. I don't want to conform to the life that I am told to live. I want to live how I decide to live. So really, thank you for this video. It gave me confidence in my decision to achieve what I want out of life, no matter what other people say. Thanks again, love your content, have a good day.💕

I think the first shock for an American is to find out that people from other countries are humans too, visiting USA I found out how it feels like being hated for no reason, just because you are from another country, in Europe you will make so many friends that you’ll want to stay, it’s a totally different experience.

An American living in Europe is a cinematically romantic experience, I was fortunate as a college student to spend 6 months in Florence Italy. Both the difficult and wonderful times made it the absolute best time of my life. It was like living inside of your own personal a movie

ok but actually "living" there vs a 6 month school semester where everything is taken care of for you is vastly different.

Salut Cecliy ! I love your videos! I was just wondering, and sorry if you mentioned it in a previous video, I'm a bit new to your channel, how do you support yourself whilst living abroad? Gap years are so common though - I felt like I made a mistake because I didn’t spend time abroad :(
@CecilysPerspective3 жыл бұрын
I talked about this in one of my previous videos but as popular as gap years are here in the EU region in the US it is quite unheard of.... I wish more people saw them as an option tbh. Lastly you don't need to go abroad to make most of your gap year! There are plenty of other ways to get to know yourself, find your strengths, work on your weakness, explore and discover who you are and what you want. I am wishing you all the best!

Question, do you have to eventually apply for citizenship in the country you live in after staying there for a certain amount of time? I know you would have to if your final decision is to live there pernamintly and be involved in with it's system like voting there? If you apply for citzenship in that country, does that mean you are no longer considered a U.S citizen if that country does not do dual citizenship? Are the moving companies who would move your items including your veheicle overseas associate with airlines? Do you know any companies who move your items long distance within the country and overseas? If yes, can you please name them? Do you know any international job application websites?

I can only congratulate you on your courage and your open mind. The journey to oneself is a real roller coaster of emotions.I am 19 and started my journey to myself 2 months ago. For this purpose, I converted a transporter into a camper van and set off with it on the journey into the unknown.Via Iceland, Ireland, Scotland and the winter at the Arctic Circle, my way will lead me back to Germany next year. Then I will draw my first conclusion and decide whether I will continue my journey.I wish you the courage and happiness that each of us seeks.
