After living alone for half my life, I decided to move back to my mother's house, with my kids. Here's how it's going.

From a man's perspective, I also moved home. I am the "son" and I do chores and look after the three young ones. But it gets hectic when there's clash in parenting patterns. The bigger picture for me, my mom and I communicate better. Learnt to say NO to her without feeling guilty and also got answers to a lot of questions of our family dynamics from our daily evening chats. Went to bed drained emotionally and mentally from the convos as they's always results in arguments in between, but little did i know that it was the anger and a whole lot of emotions leaving my system.

Oh G, that sounds amazing. I'm glad you were able to set your boundaries, I feel so guilty after saying no. Eish, I need to work on that.

One year later, I’m so happy I found this video! I came back home a few months ago after becoming a single mom to a toddler. I’m also the eldest daughter. Yeyi this is ghetto. Today nje I wanted to move out, but your video reminded me to see the bigger picture and endure for the sake of mine and my daughter’s future. Thank you sisi

You know what, I love you girl!!! KZbin suggested one of your videos a week ago, I never clicked but it kept popping up so I watched. Listen, I’ve now gone to the very first video you uploaded and binge watching. I don’t even have children but I love your aura, your honesty, authenticity and vulnerability. I wish for every good thing and blessing to come your way because you deserve it. Love your new subscriber from Namibia❤️

You are amazing mama. Depending where you want to star, kuna some really good public schools. Also I think once your child is in the private school there are bursaries. Your dreams are soooo valid.

Love love love your openness and honesty Mandz. I enjoy watching your videos 🤍 Living at home pretty much destroys the mother and daughter relationship or you have to make peace with always being the bigger person.

I relate so much with that first year of varsity with all the girls from the private school, yey!😔
@TheMillennialMom13 жыл бұрын
Yhuu that thing is painful. It makes you realize that your life isn’t as great as you thought. You don’t realize the differences until you get to varsity. Yoh 🥺💔

I can relate too but I didn’t care, in fact I was proud that I made it to university. And I proudly represented my village school

😂 Book yourself into a hotel one weekend per month? Tell them it’s a “work trip”. Use some of your hard earned savings for some much needed self care.

Yho Wena I can relate with her, I stay in Durban with my toddler only. I don't have any family here. Like literally I cannot go anywhere without my child. I can't even enter liquor because am always with a child.

This is so relatable!! 🥺 I moved back home after living on my own for a year, I fell pregnant and I needed to regroup financially. I’ve been home for a whole year now and some days are better than others. I live with my mom’s parents and my uncle who’s a drug addict. My grandparents are quite old and getting someone to help with house chores and baby was a major priority for me. I’m financially responsible for most things in the house so it takes its toll on me quite heavily. It’s hard to try and focus on the things that I want for myself at times because of my financial commitments in the household. That part when you said one pays with something for living at him. I’m certainly paying financially and with my mental health but ke, it is what it is.
