Same here. I've owned Gibsons, Fenders, Ibanez and ESP's but i changed to Kiesel when i got my Type-x. Originally i bought that guitar only to practice but it became my number one guitar due to its playability and sound. My Type-X is a neck through baked maple neck with a 20" radius and medium stainless steel frets. Im saving to buy a second Kiesel same specs but a 7 string.

I've got 3 myself and am totally hooked on the headless thing as well, probably will order a fixed bridge Zeus or Leia for the same reason you mention in the video. Nice to get all the stories too. My experience with Kiesel was totally different, their customer service was terrible and the guitar they sent me was a complete mess. I ordered a trans finish and they painted it so thick you could not see the wood grain unless you shined a flashlight on it, the case they sent had a lock broken off it upon delivery and the worst, they put their OWN LOGO on upside down on the headstock. I think at best you could say is you never know what you get from Kiesel, and at worst you start to wonder if the only people getting these gorgeous perfect guitars are people with an internet presence that will advertise for them. When I tried to contact them they sent me a return slip that had already expired and when I contacted them again they ignored me. When I left a message on an Instagram post they DELETED IT instead of owning up to the issue! I wouldn't give them another dime and I recommend anyone else strongly consider other options, you have plenty believe me. Try Halo, Ornsby, Legator, etc. Kiesel aren't worth the risk.

You must check out a chambered guitar. Game changing. Not just lighter guitar, great,loud unplugged. The chambering also tightens up a muddy low end, especially on mahogany, maple top guitars.

Was definitely inspired to order an Osiris which I just got last month - it was amazing and now I’m a convert for headless guitars. My favourite here is the Type X, followed by that raw tone Swamp Ash Osiris :)

It's funny and cool to see headless become somewhat... I'm hesitant to use the word "popular" but lets say interesting again. I think the main problem throughout the years was the Steinberger boat paddle headless guitar. Lets face it, not even EVH or Gilmour could make them look cool. They did make more traditional S-type headless guitars called the GM series and those are now worth a nice chunk of coin. Luckily, I happen to have one. I've owned a GM4T for almost 25 years now. It has the TransTrem system that changes 6 different tunings on the fly. It never goes out of tune. It's an incredible piece of machinery and I'm very lucky to own it. I've stuck with headless through thick and thin. I love it. Glad to see more people taking an interest and becoming more accepting of a well built headless guitar. And no, your hand won't slide off the end because there is no headstock...

I'm going to have to save up so I can afford one. I love the star shaped ones. A friend of mine has a Keisel and it's amazing, the sound and craftsmanship is unbelievable. You're not going to get a better custom made guitar for the price. All my guitars are mass produced South Korea made.

I've never played a Kiesel before. Not into headless guitars really, so it would certainly have to play great for me to buy one. But that White electric acoustic one might be one I would get. Just because I rally don't like playing traditional acoustics to begin with. Too bulky for me most of the time. Maybe someday before I die.

I've had Steinbergers since the '80s, I have a few Steinberger Synapse SS2F, lighter than the original graphite L; but the best is my Gittler - titanium, lighter and smaller than anything.

You missed mentioning the secret mojo of a headless guitar. All the hardware mass in in the bridge so fretted notes have a similar twang to open notes. That actually becomes addictive.

I'm only off put due to the headstock. I just can't get enough if thise inverted pitched pointy headstocks Jackson and ESP produced. The hockey stick ESP and Kramers of the 80's are still some of the nicest guitars to date still, plus I have tiny hands. I prefer a Neck Thru

I've got a headless Kiesel, it's stunning. Kiesel guitars are the bomb! Hipshot trems though...not so much.

@@McRocklin Sorry to put a rain cloud on your channel Thomas. I found the Hipshot's tuning stability to be terrible. I had to retune after every song on my headless Delos. I don't even use the trem so hard. The rollers aren't so comfortable to turn either, they can be quite tight and not so good at fine tuning. which was especially not fun when I had to tune up every five minutes. Quite a bitch to restring too. I found it hard getting the ball end of the string to latch into the socket. It would never happen first go. It would often pop out after i lock it at the headstock. Also, the trem arm took a lot of force to depress. I tried to adjust the springs / spring claw to make it softer, but couldn't seem to get it right and make it feel softer. The arm itself is quite thick and heavy compared to FR / Ibanez trem arms. I noticed my high E string would break more often than usual too. Don' know why. However, they look good and feel good on the palm of the hand though. It might be a preference thing because I haven't heard too many other people complain about them much. I ended up buying a different brand bridge and it's a huge upgrade. All the above problems have been resolved. Well I've purchased a headed Delos with a Gotoh bridge and I've heard they are fantastic so I'm looking forward to getting it. Would recommend Kiesel 100%. My headless Delos is the best guitar I've ever played.

kiesels are great. never owned one but ive played a few. but you mentioned the headless that kind of made you fall in love was a strandberg. so did you consider them at all? i assume its bc kiesel took the initiative to reach out, but man i love my prog 6 berg.. I know its all preference but i have to say i think the strandbergs are superior. not to mention they partner with fishman as well and a bunch of their models are loaded with fluence moderns. just seems too perfect for it to not have worked out that way...
