Filipino here, what you said is true about my country. You’re a keen observer and your comment is honest and unbiased. We don’t necessarily worry much about anything here as long as we have a bowl of rice today.

I just subscribed to your Channel. Appreciate your unbiased viewpoint. I am wanting to relocate there myself in 2025. Going on 2 years single after a 16 year... Wow have things changed. Have been looking at the Philippines for a year or so. Being an avid scuba diver, seems like a good fit. Keep the videos coming, looking forward to the Island Explorations.

New sub here, enjoyed the video! Looking forward to visiting Philippines for the first time in the spring next year. Can't wait! I hear you on the absurd cost of rent/cost of living in the US. More and more people can't afford a basic, simple life there
@Ricaninthephilippines26 күн бұрын
@WanderingMonk55 Yes, the insane cost of living was the main factor for me moving overseas here, best decision I've ever made, in spite of the tradeoffs.

Hello I am a new subscriber. Philippines must be easier to adjust for you because of similar culture and food. I am Haitian it was like that for me. Its nice to have someone like a fililina that has a similar culture to ours.

Good luck & sorry about your disability. Wish you happiness wherever you decide to live in the philippines. Pinoys are welcoming and friendly . If you are in big cities rent can be high but it is all relative depends on income and place. Plenty of happiness for you & PINOY spouse.

I am planning to make SE Asia my retirment home. As You know there are so many channels of expats on You tube.and the one thing I hear this all the time is to have a good nest egg. But no one will give a number. What is a good nest in your opinion?
@Ricaninthephilippines28 күн бұрын
@matthews9651 it just depends on your situation in life, but honestly, you can't go wrong with at LEAST 10k to 20k in the bank, starting off, that's if you don't plan on buying property and just renting, the Philippines cost of living is fairly low and that will sustain you a long way here, even with the inflation slowly creeping up over here, it's still way cheaper than the United States. Hope that answered your question.

Shared history with PR. Both former Spanish and American except PR is still flying the Stars and Stripes. Would be nice to see how well PR would do if it becomes independent unfortunately progress is limited by land size meaning there won’t be much resources to gather for a prosperous independence. Philippine has more size and ocean to pull resources to achieve independence although not as prosperous as bigger nations, it can gather enough for self rule. Thanks for sharing.

I don't know when you met your filipina wife. But was moving to Puerto Rico ever an option?
@Ricaninthephilippines26 күн бұрын
@Charlesphilippinetv No, I can't honestly say it wasn't, I was only born in Puerto Rico and visited the island only two times. The last time I was there was in 1992. The reason that I moved away from the west, like I said, was for the sustainability of living and to get away from all the madness going on in the west, Puerto Rico is part of it.

Your an Ambivert, look into Bitcoin because that "gov money for life" might be true inflation will ruin your plan long term.

@ronito346 I know all about the Muslim province areas and especially around pikit with all the kidnapping and political wars going on. My wife's family lives in Aleosan, so we have to speed through that area in certain times to avoid issues.
