Yes it's extremely risky having the bag beside you or behind you because someone can rush up and grab it very rapidly indeed, especially at an outside cafe.

I loved this video! Harriet asked such interesting questions! ❤ For the washing your hands while wearing your Birkin or Kelly, I would bring a small plastic or those cheap nylon Amazon reusable bags and when I am in the bathroom I would place my Birkin in the bag and then use the bathroom and wash my hands. Amazon also has those rain protectors for bags, you can drape one over your bag. But I over think things. (Edit I was writing as I watched and just saw you mention at the end you carry a nylon bag, so you can use that or better yet a plastic bag). I love the juxtaposition of dressing down and wearing a luxury bag! It makes me smile 😅 You got your money’s worth just buying your Hermes bag because it gives you joy💃🏿 I enjoyed this video!❤

Last year when I bought my Birkin 30 “ gold on gold “ with premium from the preloved market , I decided to justify the huge amount of money and enjoy it on daily basis .. I simply used it almost every day last year and so happy about that decision .I will never keep it on the shelf only

I don't use my classic flap ever. This year I've used it three times but I don't let myself feel bad about it, I still love it and will never sell it, I'm too afraid of it and I also find the classic flap is annoying to use and not user friendly, I have my other bags I love just as much that are more user friendly and more work horse. Keep your birkin for special occasions and honestly having a bag just for the shelf is just as fun I think ☺️ ❤

It's the same as my Chanel classic flap, trendy cc n Coco handle n the 19. Hardly carry them. I only carry those functional n hardy ones like my coach bags, wearing them to death. Don't even wear my emprinte leather LV speedy ,neo noe that often either

I scored this amazing little brown suede ysl bag with no logo, just a cool snake closure at a sale at Neiman Marcus for next to nothing. This was years ago. I love it more than many of my Hermes or Chanel bags…the first time ai wore it was to dinner with my husband celebrating our anniversary at Nobu in Malibu. We immediately spilled soy sauce on it 🙄. Nobody has been able to get it out, but it’s on the back so I choose to love the stain as a cherished memory 😂😊

hermes has rain covers for birkins and kellys! i do a lot of hiking and bought a rain cover for my backpack. it comes in handy for handbags too. it has velcro loops to attach it and an elasticized edge (like a shower cap). totally waterproof! i like it because i don't carry an umbrella. it folds up real tiny and takes less space than a bifold wallet. i respect my leather bags. :)

Love this video!! So true about the birkin and washing your hands... hards facts that we dont often talk about! It really is a hassle! For the restaurant, i try to take the inner seat to put my bag on the window latch or i ask for an extra chair. Some fine dining places have baskets/bag chairs for your bags! TFS hun! Love the video! Some good ideas. I have those foldable shopping bags and I have used it to put my birkin in when I went to a Japanese restaurant that way I could just put it on the floor under the table and it was protected and not visible. I also do that for the bathroom which I know is super weird but I’ll pull it out in the stall mostly so I can hang it on the hook on the back of the door more easily but it’s also good then when hand washing. But the bag hook is also useful and I definitely think you should get one!

Hi Jessie great questions fr @ladyharriet4136. I can totally relate. I use a handbag butler on the table placed between my hubby & myself. As for Birkins & toilets yes the “hold together by the knees” seems to work fine, alternatively I give my hubby the bag to hold whilst I visit the ladies room LOL. My black Kelly 28 ended up in a private ER & spent a week in hospital with me. None of the nurses knew the bag as you can’t read the logo with the bag shut & perhaps non of them realised what it was. Please wear your bags, life’s too short to stare @ them on a shelf imo. Grea vlog TVM.😘💐

I love your jacket and t shirt! Perhaps I am an executive and to power dress I carry my Birkin to work. It is also classy enough to attend work dinner. Alternatively I wear my mini Kelly with my wallet in it, and a Christian Dior shopping tote to throw everything in. I rarely wear my Kelly 28 because I find it difficult to throw my things in. When I am off work I carry my Picotin or a Chanel vanity case. I think the re-sale market is generally doing better in the U.S. than in Asia. I have just bought a Gucci Dionysus Medium Beaded Heart Shoulder Bag Pink for AUD 800 in Hong Kong!I love your authenticity and perhaps you could do a live where we post questions to make this more interactive. I hate wearing my 25 but adore wearing my 35.... For me, the handles are too small and it gets annoying switching it up between hands. Yea, the Herbag might be a bit much. Would you rank your bags based on price vs cost per wear? Perhaps keep some mystery by not stating how much the bags actually cost but your PERCEIVED cost per wear. Any bag you never worn would be the costliest. That might be uncomfortable but figured the worse you can reply is “Absolutely not”!😂

Apologies I may have misunderstood but Hermes Constance, Kelly and Birkin are not designed to be worn daily so it is not an Apple to Apple comparison between these and other non quota bags.

Don’t you have, for example, shoes you rarely wear therefore they could be seen as expensive if one thinks of cost per wear. I’m not, nor ever would, judge her for her choices. As soon as we spend the money, it’s gone, so everything a waste but we buy things because we like them, even not used much. I must say Australia is too casual for all these luxury bags unless hanging out in specials circles 🙂 if you lived in Dubai, you could carry your Birkin very safely without a worry, even putting it in your grocery trolley without anyone touching it, I think the only safe place in earth you could do that with anything luxury 😂
