Bit of a different video. This is the first of a few videos i'll be putting out periodically covering the games that i play and why i choose to play them. There are all sorts but i wanted to start with one of my favourites.

Have not played this game for years, stumbled across this video and went off to get the figures out again. Very enjoyable games, glad to see I was getting the rules right. I love the way the player announces what the figure is doing, "I'm going move to the wall aim and shoot" really feels like a movie. Thanks.

Well made video and everything is explained in a clear way! I was raised with The old West from GW and we played that a lot in the 1990s....I do have DMH at home but have never played it (shame on me) Recently, I have bought DMH redux (such a lovely box) and hope to get into it during the summer. cheers

Great video. Played my first game on Friday with 5 buddies including Dom and Ken. It was great fun. I had three lady characters and won! Not that I knew what I was doing, but it was easy to pick up, as you have just shown. I will be buying this in the new year. Thanks for a great tutorial. 👍

Thanks for this video..Bought the starterbox,Bandidos gang and Pinkerton gang,and both expansion books in you´re video. Wild West is a theme that followed me since i was a small kid. This will be fun! :D

@@-51_51- it comes with the core rules so its 1 deck of standard cards and then 4 specific cards per faction that you add in. One player takes red (diamonds and hearts) the other black (spades amd clubs) 👍

Thanks for the kind words, i cannot recommend this game highky enough, in fact we just did a battle report kzbin.info/www/bejne/mILKdGl-lLOijq8 To gwt the texture i painted the board with a sand, plaster and hardware store paint mix. I then used weathering pigments , yelllow, brown and a rusty colour and fixed them using isopropyl. Finally i added some tufts and flowers 😁👍

If you have someone to go in with you then i recommend this set www.greatescapegames.co.uk/online-store/deadmanshand/dmhrulesandoffers/dead-mans-hand-marshall-starter-offer Gives you everything. Alternatively just grab the rules and a single gang and split that gang in 2 to tey the rules. The core rules have the rules for lawmen, outlaws, cowboys and desperados. They are all fairly straightforward to use, once you get to grips check out the other gangs from the expansions, especially the Pinkertons 😉

If they are the 4ground buildings then i would suggest using an old or cheap brush to apply the pva 👍

I love your setup. I have just ordered the same buildings, any tips on how you did your baseboard. Also are you going to do any more batreps ?

Thanks very much 👍 i had alot of fun making it. I used a sand paint mix to do the board and used filler where i wanted the roads and dragged a coffee stirer through it while wet to make cart tracks 😀 i then used 3 different powder pigments to colour the ground. Do plan on more batreps in the future, got a couple more gangs to paint up

I’ve been looking at this off and on for a while. The look of the 4Ground buildings really drew me in and I bought them for use with Malifaux. Are there any solo scenarios?

First off thanks for the video. I wish you got a kick back because as soon as I watched all your DMH content I went nuts getting the books and a few gangs. But now I am looking at picking up some 4Ground kits like you used in this video and I can't find any information on the building base plates. Did the plates come with the kits? I see you mounted them to board and just change up the lay out of the town. This video is the only one I can find where someone picks up a building to show the plates. Can you give some info on how this works? Thank you.

I'm really pleased you enjoyed the videos, I love this game, ticks all the boxes I want in a wargame, added bonus, it's a western 😁👍 the base plates come with the buildings (except the church and a couple of the larger ones, they are listed separately I believe where this is the case). I fixed those in place as you say but not the buildings themselves so I could vary the setup. GEG made a tutorial on making a board and you can see them on it kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKXFi6uNoberqqs You don't have to stick them down but I've found that it gives a good solid base whe playing the game and bits don't slide about 👍

Great to hear the bases come with the kits. I was confused because I had seen the largest buildings bases online but none for the houses. 2x2 bord seems a great size for game. Time to get to work on that. Best of luck and thanks for the link.

Glad you liked it 👍😀 They have starter deals on their website www.greatescapegames.co.uk/deadmanshand/dmhrulesandoffers.html To be honest, its a fairly low cost game, tge only thing you reallg need are a gang and the rules. The tokens and scenery are all add ons but it can be played easily without. The Rulebook has tokens you can photocopy as well.

The music was licensed and the gun sound effect was from the KZbin sfx library 👍😃

I searched for appropriate music on KZbin, most of it isn't royalty free so i found ine i liked and went to the source website for that track. Most of these sites will either have a section of "free" music under a creative commons license which you can use (like here incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/music.html) or they will sell a license for that particular track, and the prices on thise can vary 👍 no matter what though you need to credit the original creator under the terms of the license. Hope that helps.

Tha is very much I'm not sure of anyone who has them like that already but there are some good commission services out there who will often do the assembly and paint them for you, obviously it costs more but I can recommend Colour Sergeant Studios and Miniature Realms 👍
