Band lateral raises? Werent band lateral raises only had tension at the top of the movement? Howd you make it work man sounds interesting
@barcodeman30712 жыл бұрын
@@wasabi5338 Good question! Having something to stand on which you can loop the band under lets you alter the resistance profile, that's what keeps it challenging for me (plus, I've got 5 different bands which I can mix and match to change up the "weight"). I don't think that most of the tension being at the top of the movement is an issue when you're training to near failure, since you'll be getting that muscle building stimulus all the same. Last but not least, pausing at the top is what really makes it a delt killer
@wasabi53382 жыл бұрын
@@barcodeman3071 oh so thats how it goes. I gave up on it because for me it lacks eccentric tension (bands pull my hand back down) so I thought its not worth it. I'll give it a second look, thanks bro.

I’m not a fan of either. I’m not saying they can’t have a place in training (athletes may benefit getting more explosive). But if your objective is to get strong & build muscle stick with straight weight. Chains/bands will only detrain bottom portion of movement. Stick with pause bench, TnG bench, close grip, larsens, dumbbell bench, dips for bench press accessories
