My daughter loves nails and beauty however after dabbling in it she is now an accountant at a firm… she still does her own hair and nails but her love is numbers and she is going to graduate school for accounting. First of all, thanks for your videos! I am a self-employed nail artist, I work in a salon and work on my own clients. After about 1 year of work I started wondering how I could do this job for life. It's tiring, very tiring on a physical level. My arms and back hurt at the end of the day. It is difficult to guarantee the same quality to the first customer of the day even to the last customer of the day. Sometimes I just want to finish quickly and go home 😔 Right now I am launching my press on business, not online but in the salon. Let's see how it goes 😊

I loved your videos and I hate to see you leave the nail world, but I wish you the absolute best with your accounting career, and I hope it carries you to the heights that you want. My press on nail business is pretty much nothing. I have a few regular customers, but that's about it. I haven't really tried pushing it lately because I'm disabled with chronic back pain, so fulfilling order after order isn't something that I can do, but I do love it and I hope to push it further one day. It is a lot though. You are absolutely right about that. You basically have to morph yourself into 100 different people in 100 different positions and it can take a lot out of you. 😬 But good luck with your career and school. I wish you the absolute best! ❤

I find that most people don't stick with it for very long. It's exhausting. I'm not doing customs orders though. Custom orders can really wear you out.

Giiiirl I feel you so much! I have a BS in finance, I love financial management too! But right out of school I couldn't find anything in accounting or finance. The jobs I did get I tried getting into their company's accounting or finance departments and kept getting told they outsource ALL their entry level acct. and fin. positions. 😐 So I'm tryna side hustle while still looking for relevant jobs. I've always loved doing nail art so I figure I'd enjoy this side hustle. I thought a finance degree was a safe bet but here I am 😂

I think that’s a great idea! The tricky part is making enough of the sales to cover the expenses! but if you can do that then you’re well on your way to making good profits with less work!😅 💕

I’m wondering if maybe you could hire someone to take over the press on business . You already had a clientele and customer base . Maybe someone out there is passionate to do the press one and could make it for you and make a cut from the sales . I’ve been thinking about selling press ons too . I was thinking if I do become successful I was thinking about having women from another country work for me for example my cousin from Colombia wants to get into beauty . Salary is really low in Colombia she could make my nails and I’ll sell them in the USA and she’ll be making bank and I’ll still make a cut if I do get overwhelmed. It’s a win win situation I feel snd it gives other people job opportunities in other countries . Ethically I would want them to make US dollars not working for a dollar an hour .
