It’s okay to change course. Just be sure to keep that license active. You have skills for sure.

I’ve been a nurse for 4 years and have been through similar things but God has always been right there! Girl you should go ahead and do the podcast, listening to you speak about everything in a positive way is keeping me motivated! This video came up in my feed. I just wanna say you’re so beautiful!! I apply to nursing school in a year. I’m going really slow and part time those year since I’m pregnant with our second kid. I’m worried about the burnout nurses talk about. It’s so sad so many great people go through so much to get licensed just to get treated like crap by the system and patients. I’m just hoping I can jump around to different jobs until I find the right fit lol

For those looking for any nursing job that is not difficult I’d suggest private duty and agency school nursing Low pay but possible if in need of fast cash

Some nurses here in the Uk need to listen and those newly qualified thinking nursing is all that . Pay here in UK🇬🇧 is terrible compared to the USA and Australia.

I am so undecided. Between opening up my own massage practice… or finishing my pre reqs and applying for an RN program. 😣 I just hate math so much! It terrifies me, that’s what is holding me back. Thank you for sharing your experience. ❤ Peace and Blessings
@vdjd4698Ай бұрын
Why not do both. Having you rn can open up so many doors for you and help elevate your massage practice.
@ChinaDoll305Ай бұрын
@ I worked in the NFL and for a top plastic surgeon just to name a few things I’ve done. I’ve been at this for 16 years. If I go the RN route, I will dedicate myself to just that. Burnout is high amongst massage therapists. I know it’s the same with RN’s. Unfortunately, they both don’t always co-exist. I am also in a small town now. Meaning - I am a big fish in a small pond. The starting pay in this state for an RN is $25-$29 an hour. As an LMT I can charge whatever I want. It’s just physically demanding work. Meaning you can’t work 40 hours a week. It’s physically and mentally impossible. RN school is no joke. There is no way I could manage a private massage practice and RN school. I need to think about my overhead, marketing etc. I am also pregnant with my first child. There’s lots to consider.
@LifewithashleysymoneАй бұрын
@@ChinaDoll305 this is a lot to consider. I’d just write out the pros & cons to each. And as far as math you’ll be fine. I had to take a remedial math at first for a refresher and then I got the hang of it

Seems like you never wanted to do nursing! You only did it because of your mother, idk I never feel burnt out in nursing or healthcare period! The profession is so broad! Hell nurses can do tattoo removal!!!! Yes you people please a lot and they treat you like a butler/maid! Though, I love healthcare so much and I’m so passionate about it! It’s so many people falling back on nursing when they really don’t want to do it!
