Why I Quit the Lifesteal SMP.

Lifesteal and it's community stole my heart from the start. Literally and figuratively. And now that I'm not a part of it any longer, I wanted to explain exactly why I left the Lifesteal SMP. I apologize this video is so long. Who knew a content creator likes to talk a lot? Crazy.

I really like how Branzy just said “Yeah, I needed a refresh” as his reason for leaving life steal, like, a bit sad, but this is honestly the best possible outcome for his retirement/exit from the server. Be honest, who honestly would have wanted him to leave on bad terms? Who here would have preferred if he left cause of some drama? I’m so glad it was on his own terms cause I don’t want another “Falling out/Rise and fall” video, it’s good that he could make his exit without stepping on anyone’s toes.

So much creativity was put into them that every video just seemed so fresh, but I also know how much work was put into each video. I remember being depressed, while also never hearing about lifesteal (heart transplant*), and I started getting really interested in Minecraft. Ended up playing it, loved it, and decided to watch some Minecraft KZbinrs. The whole KZbinrs part is a mess so I won't get into it, but some of the people I watched most were: yahiamice, rekrap, and tommy. Long story short, I eventually found Branzy, and loved the content. I ended up watching almost every branzy video from then on and they were always so entertaining. Everytime I felt sad, I watched a branzy video, old or new, and that sadness was gone. Thanks for helping out with my depression which is now gone (thanks to you branzy), and remember that we all support you. Go do what you love!

Honestly this seems more than fair. I can’t wait to see what content you come up with in the future, and knowing you’re going to be doing things with your own interests in mind honestly makes me happy. Burnout can be awful and Id hate if you ran yourself into the ground for the sake of the viewers or something like that. I enjoyed seeing your relationship with the other players grow over time and the parts you played in season three and five! Seeing your pour yourself into the work really inspired me to pour myself into my things in life, so thank you for that. You really got me through a lot of hard times. Hey I understand it, I had a rough time with betrayal in my actual life, so not knowing who to trust, or when to trust someone is something I am familiar with. It’s stressful, overwhelming, and can fry your creativity. You may be leaving Lifesteal, but you’ll still have all your friends from the server, but this time, you won’t be as worried about betrayal ending your time in game. You’re probably still going to make content with them, only without the constant threat of death. Main downside for me at least is there won’t be as much Clownzy content to work with, heheh 😏. But that’s my own selfish little thing, take care of yourself.

I'm actually very sad the moment i find out you're leaving lifesteal a while ago. But what makes it ironic for me is the fact that you're the first lifestealer i ever watch and it actually feels like a whole new chapter just added in my life founding out about lifesteal. And then not even being two months into the community, watching your videos as my main pov, you leave.. (It's lining up to perfectly for me like what??) But of course, I understand why you choose to quit. Especially the moment i learned that lifesteal's videos are not scripted(mostly) which basically gonna be so stressful not knowing who to trust and who you shouldn't. But despite all of that, thank you so much for basically introducing me into lifesteal smp. I'm new to the Minecraft universe as of a few months ago (which is its own weirdly ironic story 😅) but have been fairly addicted from day one. To the game yes, but especially because of the Community. I'm surely older than 90% of your viewers (and probably many MC players) but what draws me in so thoroughly is the people. I think maybe you underestimate yourself Branzy. Just sayng. I've been down a long road of tech, internet, programming, gaming, networking... the list is long. But I understand. I got burned out by the time I was 25. I'm glad you're stepping back before that can happen. You'll be so much better for it. It's hard to come back from. 😻👍 Recently I had to step back from making videos for my own channel with my little rescue possums. Sammy is getting old and between taking care of her, and also sharing her with our own little community, it was becoming more of a "job" instead of an adventure. We'll be back someday (sadly, most likely with a new rescue) but other things are more important for now. Like self-care. I absolutely LOVE these commentary videos, and would enjoy that even more than the stories. It lets us get to know you as the person for a bit, instead of just the character. Though I love both. Branzy I need more of this. When you started saying you were only going to chose two servers because you don’t have the time to do all three at the level you want to hit me so hard. I- I literally am in the same spot. I do 3 electives in my school and I have no time for myself and I’ve been filled with stress and anxiety and LITERALLY THIS WEEKEND I chose to quit one of my electives, I may go back, I may not. I will miss the people I’m leaving there but it’s okay because I will now have the time to hang out with them outside of the elective. I hadn’t fully decided to leave until this video. I have a bit of a burnout streak but if Branzy can do this so can I. It doesn’t mean I’m a quitter or I’m bad or I can’t do it, it means that I am willing to take care of myself and my needs.
