Why I REALLY Think Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Will Release In 2027

The rushed production approach actually began with Final Fantasy VII Remake. Even back then, the developers mentioned wanting to complete the series quickly because some team members were nearing retirement. Their plan has been to accelerate development by relying on established teams and tools without compromising quality. It’s worth noting that while they haven’t spoken much about it publicly, there’s strong evidence they’ve been working on Part 3 simultaneously with Rebirth. For example, Cody Christian mentioned recording Aerith’s death monologue and was surprised it wasn’t included in Rebirth. This suggests that many elements have likely been recorded and worked on well in advance. In short, they’ve been operating under this "rushed" mindset from the beginning, but it hasn’t negatively impacted the quality so far. There’s no reason to think that will change now.

Actually they’ve not hidden it at all, they were quite transparent about starting work on part 3 before Rebirth came out and it was the same for Rebirth, that was started about a year before Remake released even though Remake wasn’t done yet

2-3 years is feasible depending on how much of the Remake & Rebirth assets are carried over into part 3.

It’s definitely gonna be in 2027, yeah it was 4 years between remake and rebirth but there was also intergrade dlc between that they were working on and they still managed to make that massive open world in that time if anything they have way less work this time around

Just finished FF16 brother can’t wait to play FF7R sometime soon again but will wait till I pick up the pro but yeah I won’t watch any further of the video because obviously I’m early in FF7R lol

The 30th anniversary is definitely important to them.2027 has been the consensus for a probable release date for a long time. Common theories for the release date are 1/31/27, 7/7/27, or just before Christmas of 27. Personally I think they'll need the extra months of time but definitely want the game out in 2027 so my guess is either July 7th or end of the year.

there are 2 more angles. they realy like the current gaming engine they are on and want to still use it for part 3 before its out dated. and the same can be said for the ps5, if the wait longer than 2027 it will be close to the time for ps6

But they started on he third game while still finishing up the second game, plus the third game has FAR less new assets that need to be created. The fact that in 4 short years they were able to create literally almost an entire planet in 4K from scratch is crazy!

i dont think they want to rush making the game but they also dont want people to wait 5 to 8 years later for the game i feel they been working on part 3 as soon as they launched rebirth and thats prob why hamaguchi as soon as possible for part 3 lets not forget that rebirth is also hamaguchi's first time directing a huge game like ff7 his maybe ready get part 3 done to finish the story its sorta clear that theres a plan for when all 3 of the games coming out with in square enix

7:28 if they want to be in time for 2027, which they do, no chance. The less platforms - the faster it releases, it’s that simple. You say so yourself - 11 month later, add this to any exclusive original release date. It’s also usually a quality thing too. Exactly the reason why people who cry about exclusives are not very smart, because gamers should celebrate when there’s more quality. No matter which platform it’s exclusive for.

I've been following the Remake trilogy since 2018. This time around it feels very different in terms of leaks. Remake had a silent period after release. Rebirth is the complete opposite. Hamaguchi and Kitase are leaking information in freaking August. Which is insane!!! I think we've been seeing and hearing so much because they're excited just like us. I laughed when I saw their Reddit QnA. Someone asked what Hamaguchi was doing for the holidays. He said he'll relax and spend time with his family, then go back go working on Part 3. The man is on a mission and I'm here for it!

Yeah it’s nuts to think that Rebirth wasn’t even announced until June 2022, over 2 years after Remake released. Though we did get Intermission in 2021 to sort of help tide us over. I personally think that Remake part 3 will be announced middle to late 2025 and have a release date for now of just 2027 to be made more specific in 2026

I think thats realistic, because Remake probably took a bit longer because it was initially developed by CC2. Than Rebirth probably took a bit long because it was mainly developed in covid times, and it was transitioning from more linear to more open. Now part 3 will (HOPEFULLY!) not be developed during a pandemic, itll use a more established format, and they can probably re-use more assets

If Part Three takes 4 years then the name of the game (FF ‘7’) development time for the trilogy (‘11’ years because after Square fired CyberConnect in 2016 or 2017 they kept development in house and finished it in 3 years) it will be a nod to the greatest convenience store of all time and thus a tribute to Midgar/capitalism - I am of course talking about 7-11.

Its clear they are trying to get it out around the 30th anniversary and it will take less time then rebirth because between 2020 and 2024 they had to work on the intermission dlc the remake pc port ps5 upgrade along with crisis core reunion and have that run on all systems and then finish rebirth all in the 4 year time frame and now after rebirth they went right into development for part 3. They got the main stuff already figured out they got the story finished they got a big chunk of the world already done they know how the gameplay will work so most of the hard work was already done thanks to remake and rebirth really i think the main problems are going to be the weapon bosses submarine and the highwind its going to be a challange getting all that in the game and working the way the fans want but still i see no reason why it cant and wont come out around janurary/febuary of 2027.

100% it will be 2027. Remember, Remake was in dev hell, for a while. Rebirth had the DLC. The third will have the existing assets from Rebirth. Bring on 2027!

I think it's because they know their development cycle is disgusting. Just look at KH3 and FF15 14yrs for those game's and KH3 was mid compared to what we should've gotten out of that story by now and FF15 was just terrible especially once people read the true script we were suppose to get in the game , but then then sold it as dlc.They're going down the same rabbit hole with KH4 showing it way to early and 2yrs later we still have no news on it.

Reunion was supposed to be part 2 title, but they used it for Crisis Core as stated in some interviews, so it is out of the question. Reborn sounds too much like Rebirth and they seem to prefer nouns in the naming schemes rather than suddenly using adjective. My bet is on: Resolve, personally.

I hope the third and final game will go back to the linear design and structure of the first game. I didn't like the more open world structure of Rebirth, and contributed to all the absurd amounts of filler and bloat. In addition, the trophy list should be far less brutal than Rebirth, and be more akin to Final Fantasy 16 in terms of difficulty for the platinum trophy for Part 3.

@@initialfd-3716 How was it better received, when both were game of the year contenders. Clearly the first game was well liked. The trophy list was too difficult too, in an arbitrary way. It is a 8/10 according to PSNProfiles. I recall Remake Part 1 only being roughly a 5/10 difficulty, so it seems like an absurd jump.
