This is great!! So beautiful ❤ What fixative did you use to spray it with after to seal the art? :0 I love using oil pastels but haven’t found a good spray for them yet that doesn’t alter the oils!

I've been using fixative by Renesans Poland for years. It's a an excellent quality fixative, I highly recommend it. It's not available in my local art store, so I have them shipped to my home about 2x a year.

I just got into water soluble oil paints. I'm painting on canvas paper that comes in a pad. Using hog hair brushes and synthetic brushes. It's great. So much easier than watercolor painting. I don't paint fast and oils give me time, lots of time, to work slower. If I make a mistake it's easy to fix. I think oils are the best medium. I'm going to dig out my stash of oil pastels that are currently buried in my art supplies trunk. Cheers from Toronto Ontario 🇨🇦

Lovely! My perception is that there is quite a bit of prejudice against oil pastels in the art community. I live in Portugal and recently purchased a set of 60 Van Gogh oil pastels for around 25 euros and think they are amazing. I think your list of oil pastel advantages is spot on! ❤

Hi Jeanne ☺️ the Van Gogh pastels are nice, I have some of them too. Yes, I agree. A lot of people find oil pastels messy to use. I think it's a wonderful medium. 🌺

Water soluble oil paint doesn’t need smelly solvents- just use water! I hope you try them one day❤
