Dear Hemanth sir, We lived in USA for 11 years. We felt exactly same way like you sir. We sold our house last year and bought home in India. We are moving back to India in May 2024. I follow your channel and your videos gave me courage to take these decisions.Thank you so much.

I have been watching your videos for quite some time and I must say you give clear insight for those NRI’S, who are really confused and struggling to take decisions. I am sailing in same boat as well. Being in UK for last 3 years , going through lot of hurdles like loneliness, depression, bad weather, social isolation .. I can very well relate everything what you say and I appreciate for the good work you are doing . I watched your videos amidst of lot of confusion ,when your podcast video gave me clear insight to take a decision. Thank you once again.

I somehow had manifested this episode! I follow you both and really appreciate the work you both are doing.. As was rightly concluded in this video that no place is perfect and definition of happiness is very subjective. Time is the key, so decide before it's too late

Very true Hemant sir. The relations there is fake and not real which hit me very hard. We can't make original friendships who always judge us based on our lifestyle . That tore me and decided I can't sustain there for a long time

Everyone feels same way for parents back at home & always treated like 2nd grade citizen in any country no matter how much time one spend but what to do with that greed of $. If anyone saying otherwise that's a lie. One can feel same in another country no matter how much money.

FYI two of my friends went back to India one got green card n moved with two kids other had three kids and moved even though his green card dates were active. But one thing common in both the cases is all there kids were citizens. I believe that way it was easy move as they knew there can move around any time in future also they were had enough funds to happy enjoy the social setting n domestic help readily available back home so it was no brainer. In short if the kids are citizens it’s an easy decision to move back provided u have the will or things are not working your way from status standpoint I mean visas.

Fact is … 1) Robot life with conditions 2) Mutual-decision btw spouses Someone’s decision imposed on other make experience bitter 3) uncertainty, instability, legal restrictions and discrimination especially in republican states makes life unhappy 4) if want to meet dear ones long term planning is needed 5) close friends become far due to visa or personal reasons and we’ve to start again from zero 😢

You cannot be happy in a foreign country unless you integrate and understand the culture. Most of the recent Indian immigrants have no local friends and to them it's a financial transaction. In the past, before widespread Internet access people had to integrate, watch local TV, eat local food, meet new people. Now people remain connected to India, and they feel sad that they cannot be there. It is truly sad.

India is overcrowded with too many people while west is sparsely populated with the result those moving from india to western countries face shock of loneliness from a chaotic bustling places of india which are two extremes. If only indias population becomes less than half from present 140crores it would be a livable place. Unfortunately it's exploding with infiltration of Bangladeshis and rohingyas who themselves are no less than 10crores.

People are not happy india expecting to be treated fairly like true citizens. It doesn’t happen and they migrate. When they land i n a new country new challenges will come. Happiness is not there anywhere. Prioritise what is the motivation.. a Morden isolated life in a western country or being happy in the country you are born even with friends and relatives even with low quality(Govt infrastructure, policies etc.)
