You're sailing videos are very enjoyable. Very similar to what I do but I sail a little bit smaller of a boat precision 165

Thank you. I started on a Sunfish nearly 40 years ago and then life happened. About 30 years went by and I wasn't able to go sailing. Finally I bought a Sailfish that I had for a few years and never got the opportunity to sail. Then I found a Hobie 14 that I sailed for about 2 years before upgrading to a Catalina 22. 2 years ago I bought my current boat, this Catalina 25.

I didn't realize that I had actual fans but I'm flattered. I'm very glad that you enjoyed the video. What specifically about the video catapulted you into the number one fan position?

@@gavinratcliffe6201 I stumbled into a couple of fortunate good decisions which resulted in a home that is paid for and a liveable residual income that is sufficient to cover all of my other needs and many of my wants. I lived pretty "poor" most of my life, so living within my means now is not too difficult. My expenses are quite low.

@@christrouten9606 I’m in a similar situation of deciding what to do. As I’m 52. Kids left home etc.

@@gavinratcliffe6201 I just turned 52 myself in June. I've been retired now for a little while. The fortunate accidental decisions that I made which resulted in my current stability took place decades ago. If there are not already things in motion toward this end for you at 52, you will probably have to aggressively plan and execute your retirement goals. I assure you, my situation came about completely by accident. I did not plan to get where I am today. It just sort of played out this way for me. I'm not a good person to talk to about retirement planning. In fact, a few years ago, I had the wonderful great fortune of turning $12k into $320k in the stock market over the course of about 2 years. Then I made several bad investing decisions and lost 100% of that money in about 18 months. I currently have less than $2k in investments. My retirement income though is sufficient, reasonably secure, and adjusted annually for cost of living so I do alright. I still have 2 teenagers at home too, so in a few years things should get even a bit better assuming they are able to become self-sufficient and move out reasonably soon.

I'd be right there with you if I was single. I wouldn't be able to convince my wife though.
