I’m newly diabetic and the direction from mds is socks and shoes. I think it’s about reduced ability to heal in the event of wounds. I’m going to figure out how to do a combination of barefoot/barefoot sandals to regain my health and reverse chronic stuff. I’m too young to feel this old (58). You’re beautiful. Keep doing you!! 🌼🌸🌺

After i crossed i did not want to put my shoes back on and ended up hiking for 8 km barefoot with a huge smile on my face. Im soo doing this! Shoes going byby =) Keep it up, Thanks!

I love going barefoot. Back in the caveman days, we were all barefoot. Our ancestors wasn't wearing shoes. Being barefoot, it's enlightening. I like to feel the earth. The grass, the dirt, the pebbles, the sand between your toes.

In Germany, there is a big mainstream idea of being barefoot. Many people go on weekends to "barefoot parks". There, they walk over all types of surfaces: non-sharp glass, mulch, mud, rock/stones of all sizes, cork, etc. They are really fun and very popular! kzbin.info?search_query=Barfußpark+Hallwangen

The thing about foot arches and knee problems is REALLY making sense to me. You inspired me to focus on my toe strength a bit more and when I activate my toes more, I can really feel the burn on my foot arches and ankles. From a guy that's had knee pain for over a decade, it really makes sense that these weak points are a major cause of them. I also trying to improve glute and hamstring strength to develop the muscles around the quads and balance out the muscles. Also took inspiration and knowledge from Kneesovertoes guy. But your advice really really makes sense. Thanks for inspiring me. On the road to better knees.

Totally with you bro. Hard to explain to people how good it feels, you just have to do it. Feel connected, more relaxed, more present. I came to it because I bumped into a woman hiking barefoot and stopped for a chat and then gave it a go. I had been trying to improve my balance using a wobble board which really strengthened my feet and ankles ahead of starting - thoroughly recommend that - so I was pretty mush ready to go. Now selling off my old shoes as I swap to barefoot shoes. I started with the same Xeros you have. 👍

Congratulations for your decision to live barefoot, my friend!!! You told you started this 4 months ago and I could see how strong and caloused you got your soles... This is really amazing!!! Seems you are challenging your soles everyday... I am a barefooter too. Not all the time for many reasons but i believe this is the right thing to do for all the reasons you pointed here...I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. My father ever adviced me to go barefoot when i was a boy. After 9 yo I realize how pleasant was and how strong my feet got strong... I am 53 now and i can tell you how pleasant is to travell barefoot... Believe me, it will really chabge the way you see yourself and the world... Get in contact whenever you want... it will be an honour to talk with you...

Thank you so much for this video. It's very inspiring. I'm glad that Rob featured you on his channel. I saw his "barefoot living" video as well, and feel deeply connected to what both of you are saying. During this whole COVID thing, I've been stuck at home, and have been living basically bare feet for the past few months. I feel fantastic - in terms of my feet. Unfortunately, my activity level has gone way down - and I was overweight before, but I'm really overweight now. So when you were talking about obesity - that was very meaningful for me. Much of our "dis-ease" is caused by obesity - which arises from bad diet, bad rest, lack of activity, etc. I really, really want to get back to my "natural" self - be lean, fit, full of energy, healthy, strong, fast, agile, tough! I'm the opposite right now - fat, soft, weak, tired, lazy, aches and pains everywhere, no stamina. I'm 5' 9" and 235 lbs and I should be no more than 165 - so I'm basically 70 lbs overweight. I never would have imagined that this would become my reality, but it has. I really want something different. I want to be back in perfect balance with nature. I live in the "suburbs" of America. Walking around my neighborhood bare feet will probably get me labeled a "kook". LOL. But I feel like I need to do it. I think I'm going to get the Xero shoes - an ad on your video I watched all the way through - so hopefully you'll make some money from your video. Anyway - thanks for your video. Keep it up.

So many people are wearing masks and taking the jab because they’re scared shitless of dying from this virus all the while constantly dumping sodas and twinkies down their throat. I’m with you. As a kid use to go barefoot aa much as possible up to 18 years old. Then moved to the south from the midwest and broken glass was everywhere. Every since then it's been hard to go barefoot. Better have one foot scrubber at the door because walking on rugs and carpet and putting feet on the furniture or bed with filthy feet is something I couldn't deal with from myself or others in my home. Seems like thorn stickers and glass would poke through the thin soles of the Zero shoes so really don't see the point in them.

I'm totally with you there, walking barefoot as much as I can for over a year now. I could really relate to the part about people looking at me like I'm crazy :) For some walks I did, I would have needed those basic sandals, when there are like several miles of of spikey stones, that poke in the parts of my feat, that have no calluses. But I can't get through the whole winter barefoot. Do you have a strategy for when it gets colder?

Love to hear your input ….. originally shoes did not have rubber soles ..:: reading that that’s when alot of fibromyalgia etc started coincidentally or maybe not at the time that main stream foot wear switched from animal to rubber… cutting off our connection to the earth. 3 years ago o moved to belize and it is common not to wear shoes here even in the bank etc … and I have not felt better as well as many people I meet that have lived like this as well. Some truth you think.?

I do not like wearing shoes, I do not drive wearing shoes, I do not sew wearing shoes, I like to walk without shoes. Being practical, in the winter I wear boots in the snow😊 It is almost comical that, in the summer, I can put on the flimsiest pair of flip-flops and not be bothered and my feet are all but bare (of course, I do not mind having the barrier between the steaming asphalt and the soles of my feet).
