I agree with everything you said about the sneaker market and how it's going down such a shitty path... sucks for people who actually wants to style them but have to settle for resell. I too used to be a sneaker head but started seeing the value of investing in timeless clothing pieces instead. I only wear boots and simple silhouettes now too. I found your instagram and started following you but then realized we went to the same high school. I graduated last summer so I missed you by like a year. Nobody fucks with fashion back in Seoul anymore... But I mess with your style and pieces you've been wearing. And I'm with you on Jerry Lorenzo's influence on today's street wear culture.. I've been following him since third collection too. Still think sixth needs some time for it to grow on everybody but there's no doubt that he definitely paved the way and simplified and added onto the aesthetic that was already laid down by rick owens and haider. Made everything more wearable and accessible. Yeah anyway, i fuck with your content on both youtube and instagram. Keep it up haha

I pay a reasonable premium for particular shoes. Reason being im very specific and not attracted to many shoes out there (so i dont buy many pairs) - i dont see myself rocking them. I do agree market is rigged and to further add, it has been monopolised charging crazy premium on it. It's silly to pay premiums that are not reasonable and stupid to pay 2x or 3x the retail price. Again as you mentioned theres zero practicality.

I used to be a video gamer and I've quit. I know video games and sneaker are not the same thing but the habit of just buying shit just because is the same. Video games are a waste of time and money and sneakers are a waste of money if you have a lot of them as well. Time to grow up and focus on other things

The problem for me is that a lot of my longtime friends share no hobbies with me except games so I feel compelled to play what I perceive as a complete waste of time, while not even enjoying it, just to spend time with friends. Although I don't really spend that much cash on it I guess so it's not quite the same.
