Serving pizza in the “Brazilian steakhouse” was the most brazilian-steakhouse-thing of the whole video. People even serve sushi in a lot of the steakhouses down here! 4.5/5 legitimacy

Brazilian but I'll keep the comment in English for the sake of it I can see why though, bread, rice... all cheap enough and easily makes people full so you eat less meat (which is expensive) there's one near where I live that will often have bread or pão de queijos for you to "snack" at the table right when you arrive, and they'll often serve pão de alho (garlick bread) and make a little "show" when serving their overpriced desserts, they'll insist you grab a drink asap as well... it's always the little tricks that works
@BuenoComex Жыл бұрын
LMFAO,i love how we invade every english speaker channel when we hear "BR" kkkkkkkkk, but guys you are right, side dishes are intended to let people Get full faster at steakhouses.. in a homemade steak feast barbecue, we just have mayo potato salad, farofa,maybe black eyed pea beans..garlic bread..maybe a pineapple or a huge onion toasted in the firepit... And thats all for side dishes... And he lost our delicacy, chiken hearths LMFAO.. Maybe, also a dessert, like passion fruit mousse ...but thats all at parties at home

As a Brazilian from the state of Minas Gerais (where Pão de queijo is from), I've gotta say that the video is great and I feel honoured to have an entire video dedicated to one of the most famous food restaurants we are known for abroad! Papa is love! But- I've gotta say the original and traditional recipe for Pão de queijo does NOT involve in any way a muffin tray to shape them. And the dought should not be that liquid as well!! They are rolled in the shape of gracious and precious balls of cheesy deliciousness!! We're just very passionated about our food in that state so I thought about leaving this note :>

pretty good josh! as a brazilian, just saying: garlic bread is way more common in steakhouses or even at home barbecue (a churrasco, as we call it) than pão de queijo. pão de queijo is eaten more like a quick snack during the day, that goes nice with coffee. other meats and cuts there are very common and famous in our steakhouses and churrascos are: chicken heart (coração de galinha) and hump steak (cupim). the latter can be cooked either in slices (easier) but also in one big piece, that obviously takes longer to cook, but the end product is amazing . (p.s. - come to brazil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

It's okay to use parmesan, it's probalby quite hard to find minas cheese there. Those premade in supermaket in Brazil use parmesan cheese too, but the reciep is wrong. One of the reason it looked off (dough too running) is because you're suppose to use hot milk, which kind of cooks the dough.

I'm Brazilian and loved in the US for a few years. The Pao de Queijo recipe he's done is the cheat version with you can find in any grocery store. I've done those while I was there when I didn't has time to go to a Brazilian grocery. The main ingredient (polvilho) is something that is hard to find there. Maybe he can try it on a later video. Polenta looked nice. Pineapple too. Cool additions would be garlic bread (the American garlic bread is close enough) and fried bananas. As for the meats, the picanha needed no marinade. Only coarse salt and some black pepper should be fine. But it needed a hotter fire to crisp the outside and thin slices so you wouldn't serve raw meat to the customers. The sausage was nothing like ours. Looked like a German sausage, precooked and smoked, as opposed to ours that is sold with a mix of raw pork and chunks ok fat. I've had those that he served before and although they are good, they do not resemble Brazilian sausage nor they should be cooked and served in the same manner. I saw people ask for chicken heart skewers and I agree they would be great as they are a staple, I know it is very hard to find those approved for human consumption in the US since FDA, as far as I kwon, do not allow for it. There chicken hearts are only used for animal feed and the like. Anyway, just some comments if you were to ever try some of these recipes again. Overall, fun video. But I think instead of the club you should've taken them back to Fogo de Chao for a refresher.... hahaha
