Why I stayed on the ship in Guadeloupe… unpopular Caribbean port??

When I travel solo I use a lotion applicator ( with an extended arm ) to reach my back. I always use cream sun screen anyway. Super convenient for getting those hard to reach places.

I went to Guadeloupe twice on my last cruise & even the comedian made a comment saying you got off the ship the first time, I bet you don’t get off the second time ! Being a solo cruiser it’s nice to watch other solo videos, great content, thank you .

I have been going to Guadeloupe to surf for the past 20 years. An amazing island. I'm sure crime exist but have never had an issue. I stay either in Saint Francois or Le moule. Port Louis is also another beautiful spot in Grande Terre. Basse Terre is totally different with a lush mountainous landscape including waterfalls and hot springs. The food and bakeries not to be missed. Anyhow just a surfers perspective. Little slice of France in the Carribean.

It’s crowded in there, well not crowded, but there are people in there. That made me laugh, I’m glad I’m not the only solo cruiser that sees any amount of people as a crowd. Really enjoying your content, keep up the good work. Your Antarctica cruise has inspired me to seriously consider using my cruisenext credits for that trip. Penguins! 🐧

I went to guadeloupe recently and loved walking around town. We were going to do an all inclusive day pass at club med but decided to wander around for a few hours and return to the ship instead. Enjoyed your video 😊

What a big mistake not to leave the ship. Guadeloupe is French territories. Euro currency. The Bus #S1 is close to the dock. Runs every 20 min. You can download the app for the timetables. Go to gorgeous beaches, exellent restarants, bakeries ( level of Paris ) of Sainte-Anne, Saint Francois. Scenic drive to Pointe des Chateaux is amazing! All reachable by the public bus. Vive la France!

I've been watching these because I've never been that sure about Virgin from a sort of solo Introvert vibe. It always seems a bit full on in some videos and in their marketing (though they have toned that back a bit). How do you find it goes - it obviously works for you!!!

I actually don’t find that Virgin ships ever get overcrowded - there is always somewhere to go and relax and chill if you don’t want to be around a lot of people (which I usually don’t). Tons of comfy areas to sit and read!

Without any discounts this cruise would have cost well over $3k but I didn’t pay nearly that much. I used a future voyage credit and received a significant discount because Virgin had cancelled my original booking and had to rebook me twice. Their prices have also gone up quite a bit since I booked this cruise!

The Wake is my favorite restaurant on the ship. Love the warm bread, the menu and the design. Razzle Dazzle is my least favorite..like you the food disappointed me. Didn’t taste right somehow.
