My wife and I are only at 24 cruises, but why do we love cruising? We love water, we love the variety of entertainment cruising offers. We love the various dining options. We love being able to visit several countries without having to unpack each day. We love the service we receive. The ships are so grand and fancy. Its like visiting the most fancy place you have ever been too every day. Its the best.

I think I am the only person who has been on more cruises than Don. But thats because I have worked on Don's favorite cruise line for 22 years. There are wood ships and good ships, ships that sail the sea, but the best ships are friendships, may they always be.

As a child, we lived on a boat and I loved it! Knowing I would never own a boat I booked my 1st cruise in 1990 and have been hooked ever since! 54 days until our next cruise!!!

Cruising is wonderful. When I get on the ship I don't have to think about one thing, just watch the ocean go by while reading a good book.

Oh you have so blessed to have been on 183 cruises! I’ve only been on 5 cruises and loved every one. I just love being on a ship. The balcony views, food, activities and excursions are pluses, but one cruise I took I stayed on the ship the entire time. Each cruise has a special place in my heart for different reasons. Cruising is my preferred way of traveling, albeit I don’t have the finances to go often. So, I treasure the times when I can go.

I love to cruise. I worked on ships for almost 8 years. I never got tired of it. Nowadays I cruise about once a year. A cruise is such a great value and it’s nicer than what I could normally afford on shore. It also allows you to visit different places to explore. Then if you like that place you can go and spend time there on a different vacation. We loved Florence a lot, so we went back to Florence for a long stay two different times.

There's something amazing about sailing on the ocean and looking out from the balcony or upper decks at the vastness and hearing the waves. Love going to different ports vs. staying on shore at the same place for that amount of time. Staff are the best! Always smiling and love having conversations with them!❤

There is just something magical about being on the ocean. We first choose an itinerary. But then we very carefully choose which ship we’d like to sail on for that experience. For us, mid and late 60s, the whole experience is grand! We use our dedicated cruise travel profession for a worry free trip- and better deals, and we do a lot of planning and researching before embarkation day.

Hey Don, it s like summer camp and the camp counsellors keep your activities fun. And your night entertainment is always fun. Then you can go swimming, pool might be crowded, but you can go for a quick dip. Get a quiet spot and have the best shaded nap ever. I love cruising. Keep inspiring.
@TraceyGaylard13 күн бұрын
You meet and befriend people who you would never have an opportunity to meet otherwise. Years ago, my parents befriended a couple who they shared a table with each night and were invited to visit them when traveling to their country a few months later. It wasnt until the limousine arrived to collect them for dinner that they learned their new friend was the deputy Prime Minister.

Cruising is sn an amazing easy way to see the world. Yes, you do it in small 2 day slices but we have been on over two dozen cruised, visted three continents and 50 plus ports. All while not having to worry about food or entertainment. Like Don, we now share our adventures via KZbin. So thankful for all the experiences!!

Don great job you’ve done explaining cruising to non-cruisers. I remember it took my husband a couple years to talk me into going on a cruise because I used to get seasickness on our local lake but I gave him and that was 30 years ago and I can’t even count the number of cruises we’ve done and not once have I been a little ill let alone really ill. And as for people up sewing you stuff that to no end well I found a cure for that we just moved on to the six star cruises and everything absolutely everything is included so there’s no need for them to be selling us anything. I think the spa is the only thing that is not included, But they don’t run around trying to sell you their goods anyhow. Please excuse the typing & spelling I’m hard of seeing so I mostly us the dictation feature and to say it has a mind of its own is is right on the point. Great video today

Wow, congratulations on sailing your 183rd cruise!!!!! I love cruising because of this feeling that comes over me, it’s a miraculous feeling of peace, like everything will be alright! I love seeing the skyline and ocean meeting and the ship is able to float on top of water, that’s an unexplainable miracle to me!!! I rather use my money to pay for a cruise because I have everything I need, a nice place to lay my head, all the food, and entertainment I need! I love cruising and I have a long ways to go to reach my 183rd cruise, (only 11th coming up for a birthday cruise this November) but I pray I get there one day!!! 😇🛳️🛳️

Upsell- Celebrity comes up to you at the buffet to sell speciality dining, also the fitness guy called me daily at 8 am to sell training!! I told him not to call and still did- there is also a guy to sell arch insoles, as soon as you enter the pool Deck-they are all so annoying! It was my way of relaxing; but time to do some land explorations! Cruises really only give you a sample of a country-if I go so far, I really want to stay and see the culture. Ports are now too far from cities and many have the same shows again & again! Can’t go on the same ships; food gets the same and entertainment! Fun to try new smaller ships.

One thing I can add that you did not because you’re not a Disney person. The one big advantage of a Disney Cruise is exclusivity. In a park to meet characters to get your photo with characters can take an extremely long time to wait in lines. On the cruise ship, especially when you’re taking a 14 day cruise for somebody. I really want to take a picture with it was a 15 minute wait for some of the specialty nights like formal nights and stuff. It’s been a 20 minute wait but usually it’s a one to 2 to 5 minute wait if not, just walk up and take a picture. They’re all over the ship. On a Disney ship you get to see movies. 3 to 4 days ahead before coming to the movie theater. We love their Broadway style shows on the Disney ships, and we love their theme dining.

Why do I do it because I’m lazy it’s the best of both worlds you have a hotel you’re set there. We usually only take 15 day cruises. We’ve done for 15 day cruises so our hotel moves with us. That’s why a lot of people like Winnebagos. Just imagine if you took a plane to Florida took the hotel but then from the nextweek or two your hotel moved from state to state to city the city that’ll be just so amazing.
@mrlogboy13 күн бұрын
Only a minute 208 of your video and I had an idea of the path you were going down and I was hoping I was hoping I was hoping and you did. Cruising is a social event you’re stuck or you’re not stuck on the same ship with the same group of people for a chunk of time . Well That did happen to us in Disney World, Orlando, Disney World, Tokyo. I am the tall silent type. My wife is the Gabber with a gift of gab and so three of our visits to Disney World Orlando, where we’re staying on and off property. We tend to stay for 10 to 14 days and so my wife would see some people multiple days and strike up. Conversations we always ate breakfast at the same time but a few times we were in the cafés or restaurants or whatever having dinner at the same time at the hotel and a couple times we saw each other in the park and we were walking together just as they were talking and took a couple rides together as we were just heading in the same direction so that’s social interaction does happen there and in Tokyo we met somebody at the Tokyo hotel that was like a schedule breakfast at a schedule dinner and so we were at both of those cause they were included in free and so my wife talking we met a family a Japanese family and so of course we’re curious about them. They’re curious about us. We’re asking questions so yes, we bonded we talked. We shared exchange gifts. They gave us stuff. We gave them Canadian stuff that we had brought into share. So that socializing can happen outside if the situation is right
@mrlogboy13 күн бұрын
We did exchange Facebook information with most of them and still talk to them on Facebook. Same thing happened to us with a couple from New Zealand.

Wow, you must’ve not have gone to TripAdvisor and seen all the reviews and done your research because there’s no way that you went to the correct all inclusive resort. We have gone to a few and never been up sold like that. I guarantee if you take the name of the resort you went to right now go to TripAdvisor. You see lots of people in the past years talking about avoid this place because of the up sailing or prepare yourself for the upselling . I feel so sorry for you. That must’ve been a terrible vacation. It sounds like a timeshare hotel.
