I have examined the Catholic Church's stand on the bible when I was challenged by the example of my Protestant friends in my teens. Im already 61+....and am humbled by her claims and challenged in my life to live up to it. It has been my most profound joy to embrace Jesus as my Lord and my personal Saviour in all my brokenness and healing through the years. I should, would, ought to have done better....yet I feel embraced and welcomed in my life through her Sacraments snd I look forward to Heaven as I press forward in Truth and Goodness and Right as MY 2000 year old Mother proposes in St Polycarp(died 155AD), St Ignatius of Antioch(died 140AD),St Justin Martyr(died 165AD), St Augustine(430AD), St Thomas Aquinas(died 1274), St Francis Assisi(died 1226), St Padre Pio(died 1968),St Mother Teresa(died 1997), St Bridget(died 1373),St Charbel Makhlouf(died 1898), St Peter Julian Eymard(died 1868), Pope St John Paul 11(died 2005), Pope St Paul VI(died 1978). Some of my heroes through thecenturies. They speak of Jesus my Lord through their lives like St Peter, St Paul, St James, St John and all the Apostles with Our Blessed Mother Mary. God bless. I will pray for you and your parents family tree throughout all time...may they be numbered among the Predestinate in Heaven by the Grace of God won by Our Lord for all men, throughout All Time. God bless.

Father, your video came at a perfect time. Thank you so much for giving such a simple and concise perspective on this topic. As I used to explain to others, sometimes having Bible debates would feel like we're throwing rocks at each other in the form of Bible verses, and at the end of the day, it might even be detrimental to faith as it could distract us from focusing on what's truly important or on what the greater good is, which is God. Sometimes, the path could seem really narrow but at least we're still hopefully walking in the right direction! God bless.

As a Protestant that became Catholic this is the most concise statement that will help a person understand the Catholic Faith. Anyone can make up what they think Scripture means. Anyone can do that. But there is a limited number of people that actually learned Christianity from the Apostles and got the correct interpretation from the horse’s mouth.

We protestants eat the body and drink the blood. Catholics for some reason take that verse strictly literally while taking every other verse figuratively.
