Once I hit my one year mark and my locs mature, I'll definitely retwist less. I'm noticing as the months go on, they are marrying less.

Lovely locs! You want to incorporate those loose hairs back into your loc so that they don't thin out. Atreyu locs has a great video on different methods for incorporating hair back into your locs to avoid thinning locs while semi-freeforming.

I love the size of your locs and I know exactly how you feel. I enjoy my locs being crispy... A little frizz is cool but by the 3rd week I can't wait for a retwist. Thanks for the advice!

Hey loove your locs! Ive decided to stop using conditioner when washing bc I feel like it doesn't really help with locing and thickness...idk we'll see how it goes but yea I'm so scared of thinning as well.

Your locs are beautiful. Remember your new growth is not loc'd hair. It will take time to go through the locing process. So you won't see the thicknes immediately. Just be patient. Good ideat to retwist less. No manipulation to your roots will assist in loc process with your roots. 😍

I've been wanting to stretch out my retwists too. I exercise daily and love wetting my hair so lol retwisting less often should allow me to do that. Just one question. How do you keep your hair moisturized on a daily basis? And Ik oil locks in moisture but I just don't feel like placing it on my hair strands so often. :/
