I've never met a woman from a dating app who didn't last more then 1 or 2 dates. Every woman who stuck around longer then that and even became one of my girlfriends I met in real life first. I personally think these apps are designed to keep you single and looking forever (or make you poly 🤮). That's because if you manage to find real healthy monogamous love with someone then you no longer have any reason to keep using the apps anymore, which means they lose a paying customer. So these apps secretly want you to fail at finding love because then you would have no reason to keep paying these apps. Lonely singles, creepy poly people, and narcissists looking for an ego boost are the real money makers on these things. Not people looking for a real deeper long term connection.

This is a great video. I'm sure the feeling of having to reject so many people is tough. You didn't really touch on the flip side of that though. You gave the example of only getting 10 matches from swiping on 100 people. There are people who don't get any. Imagine how those people probably feel. REASONS WHY ONLINE DATING SUCKS 1. Catfishing- yes, people still do this. 2. Photo Deception- Pictures can be tricky & very deceptive. Sometimes people can look one way in pictures but another way in person. (ie, looking taller, fitter or prettier in pictures but not as much in person). 3. Meaningless Connections- It’s harder to really judge true chemistry when you’ve met through a screen 📱. You can judge chemistry more easily when you meet in the real world. It easier to make an impression on someone meeting them the old fashioned way. 4. People Are More Disposable- You actually get ghosted more on online dating than what you would meeting people in reality. Honestly, it feels boring reading the same "I am not your average girl" or "be serious". I think we need accountability to ourselves. Don't get on dating apps for love. That should be your number 1 rule. If you want friends, they will come based on the environments you surround yourself in. Even during quarantine, do not use them to meet others or socialize. If you have a social circle, build on that instead of seek more from others. We get consumed on fixations of influencer peddling a dream to people who live a common reality. It's so funny that we are at the same point in dating. In front of me I have 16 Post-It notes. On them, I have affirmations (yes, I'm that type of person). They say everything from "The goal is to keep living--and you're already doing that! So no pressure" to "If you don't like something, PLAN & CHANGE IT". In the course of 3 years, I have transformed my life just by practicing all the messages on these Post-It notes again and again and again. 1:20 I don't know much about dating and courting (or diff between the two) so perhaps you could explain to me: how does assuming you know if person would be good to spend life with or not in 5-10 minutes of interaction not equate to claiming to be an all seeing oracle?
