I'm going through the same thing but I'm 24, it started when I was 21, I was gaslit by my doctors and told it was stress until it got so bad they could no longer ignore it, my family was complaining about finding it in their food (even when I'd tie it back) from cooking dinner, it would be all over the shower/come out in large amounts when I ran my hands through it. Then I got a blood test, and ultrasound of my uterus/ovaries and they told me I had PCOS and androgenic alopecia, offered zero solutions to help reverse it. Found out recently it's genetic on both my Dad's and Mom's side. After so many years of suffering I''m finally deciding to shave it off because I can't handle anymore. Your video was very empowering and made me feel less alone in this lonely experience.

What's wrong with your hair? It all still looks there even though it's cropped. You're hardly bald. 😲

She has alopecia, it falls out when it gets to a certain length and ends up causing stress and anxiety. For some people its more convenient to shave it off so that it's not falling out when you're cooking and getting in your food, or so it's not coming out in large amounts when you run your hands through it/are brushing it, getting on other people around you. Even tying it in a hair tie does not help when it has fallen out of the follicle as there is nothing to hold the hair in the scalp.
