Bill Edger has made a name for himself as the man who crashes funerals to reveal secrets, truths and confessions from the deceased. Dubbed the Coffin Confessor Bill is a representative for the dead, and he takes this responsibility seriously. Not everyone likes him, or what he does, but he never gets a complaint from his clients.
Bill Edgar is the ‘Coffin Confessor’ - a successful businessman, counsellor, author and one of Australia’s leading private detectives, Bill crashes the funerals of his clients telling those that were loved just how much they were loved and those his clients loved to hate to F*** off. Bill’s job is not for the faint of heart or those that fear and whether you like him or loathe him you won’t forget him.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

We buried my Irish gran back in the 90s with her old alarm clock, one of the wind-up ones with the hammer and bells on them, because she used to take it downstairs every morning and put it on the mantlepiece, and back up to the room every night. She really loved that old alarm clock. And during the funeral one of my uncles commented _"imagine if the alarm goes off, and she wakes up.."_ and a whole bunch of us started giggling and just couldn't stop. I don't know what the people at the back were thinking, but they must definitely have been confused..

Got to start somewhere - practice for real to improve! I just recently watched Brene Brown’s viral TED Talk on vulnerability and she was not nearly as polished as she is now. Same with Mel Robbins when she first started out.

Interesting idea. Shame the deceased didnt have a family member, best friend, record message themselves to play or say it while still alive ... Personally if i hired a funeral crasher, id want someone a bit more articulate, witty and self confident. But interesting idea, anyway

I disagree with the statement that funerals are for the deceased. I would say they exist to give the people left behind some closure and an opportunity to grieve. The deceased are dead, of course they deserve respect, but they are not the ones who have to keep going.
