Brother! Your love of the Imperial Fists and our beloved father Rogal Dorn is quite inspirational. I love the Imperial Fists and I love Dorn so much they are both my favorite chapter / legion and favorite Primarch. The yellow originally turned me away from the Fists, and I originally went Ultramarines, but reading about the Fists and Dorn forced me to change my mind despite the yellow and over time I grew to love the Imperial Fist yellow In my opinion they are one of the most underrated chapters / legion and Dorn is one of the most underrated primarchs. I love Dorn because he is a simple but very complicated and misunderstood man. Where others see boastful foolhardy overconfidence I see a man who keeps quiet, listens to everything considers everything and then talks when he has something to say. A man who js straight forward, speaks his mind and respects himself and everyone else too much to lie or to dance around the subject. I see a man who is the paragon of loyalty, a true epitome of all that it means to be a space marine and an embodiment of the ideals of the Great Crusade. I will not say that Dorn was without flaws, he had his flaws as well as anyone else. While I admire the man for speaking his mind, telling it how it is and not dancing around the subject, it was also his biggest flaw and in my opinion it was this reason that made Horus the better choice for Warmaster (that and Horus was the Emperor's precious baby) had Dorn not had this flaw, this flaw that was one of Horus' strengths, then Dorn would have likely been the best choice for Warmaster. As Dorn possessed most of the qualities that the other primarchs possessed and was regarded as the best overall strategists of all the primarchs, including Horus. (Although to be fair, Dorn's abhorrence of things like espionage and hit and run attacks do make him not as tactically flexible as other primarchs, though do not let that fool you, the Imperial Fists are masters of most forms of warfare) I certainly believe Dorn is still alive and will return soon. However, if he did indeed die that day, he died like a true Imperial Fist, sacrificing everything in the face of impossible odds holding off Abbadon and his black crusade, hopelessly out match. Yet they held it off long enough for reinforcements to arrive. Alpharius may have humiliated Dorn by infiltrating the Imperial palace, but Dorn paid him back by defeating their invasion and killing Alpharius. Making him 1 of only 3 (arguably 4) primarchs to kill another Primarch: Horus, Fulgrim and Dorn (arguably Guilliman). Primarch progenitor, for your glory and the glory of him on Earth!

Hell after the Iron Warriors you guys are my second favorite legion, you could be missing a good chunk of your torso and you'll keeping fighting, incredibly loyal, you got some of the best successor chapters in 40k, some of the best characters in 40k. And well... My legion doesn't have a Phalanx, we didn't have a Sigismund, we don't have our version of the Black Templars, and we CERTAINLY don't have a Rogal Dorn. But we beat you Fists in another catagory...YOU followed the Codex Astartes and split your legion into smaller chapters, WE didn't and stayed a whole legion.

Dorn is my favorite Primarch! And at first was because of TTS, that was how I was introduced to Warhammer. But reading the official lore just made me love him even more! Yes he is blunt, but that’s because he is honesty personification! He doesn’t lie and can’t be lie to! Nobody can’t deceive him and that’s impressive! He is the one that could know the true Alpharius because even his tricks didn’t work in Dorn! Their fight was the one of my all time favorite Warhammer moment!! My Lord Adornable lives in my heart! And his sons are the best ones!! Polux is my favorite specially because his friendship with Dantioch, making my dream of them working together a reality for a few seconds!! And I almost forgot to mention that the Phalanx is the most amazing and fantastic ship ever!! Most beautiful and my favorite!

I'll never understand the argument that Abaddon failed cause he resorted to blowing up the planet. So what? I mean he destroyed a massive symbol for the imperium, idk why people try to water down. Acting like it was unfair when Imperium blows up planets all the time that are lost and no says a word. But Abaddon does it and it's oh it's cause he couldn't win the fight. Makes no sense to me. Anytime the Canon advances and has anything negative affect the Imperium, all the fanboys will cry and complain. But if it happened to any other species they be totally okay with how they advanced it. For the story the imperium needed to suffer a major loss, that way the bringing back of primiachs makes sense as it's in the time they are most needed.

I hear everything you’re saying.... but while the Fists might be one of, if not the best of the LEGIONS... SANGUINIUS is the BEST Primarch. The BEST combatant, respected by all even the traitors, a natural leader leader (the Lion and RG wanted him as the defacto EMPEROR of the Imperium Secundus), and he is THE LITERAL DEFINITION OF A HERO!! He knew he would die if he faced Chaos Empowered Horus alone and HE DID IT ANYWAY!! He literally faced his death and made the ultimate sacrifice so that his father could stop Horus and save the Imperium. I’m sorry, but that just trumps all. I think of Sanguinius and it reminds me of the line in the movie “Stranger than Fiction” that went like this: “It’s a book about a man who doesn’t know he’s going to die, and then dies. But if the man does know he’s going to die and dies anyway; dies willingly knowing he could stop it then, i mean... isn’t that the type of man you want to keep alive?” I’m not even a Blood Angels fanboy and even I recognize this.

I am no lore expert but from what i know Horus sure do seems to have known the Lost primarchs (he sure act like it, in front of macharius the sigilit), peoples call leman Russ the emperor executioner, and leman Russ seems to have regrets over hus status as an executioner. So who did he execute to deserve resentement from some primarch and from himself if it is not the two Lost primarchs ?

My love for the fists was so strong that even though I started as an IG player I couldn't contain my love for long and here I sit in stubbornness, dedicating my time to painting my Black templars terminators, way past midnight! But how could you forget our dear Lysander, first captain of the 1st company, he is so stubborn that all he wants to do is dig iron warriors out of their petty holes and beat them over the head with the fist of Dorn. The Fists are a great Legion with great heroes and captains. Rand, Sigismund, Pollux, Lysander, and many others have honored their ranks over time. Their successor chapters are among the most successful: the Crimson Fists and Black Templars are among the best successor chapters. The 7th was one of the best run legions of the Heresy. I respect the heck out of Dorn and his legion. That said, they are not the 1st, who is 2nd best at everything and therefore best all around. Once you read the Lion's primarch novel, you'll understand.

I love them for their lore. Practical, reliant not on Plasma, or Melta, but the Bolter. I love Dorn's lore, because he is the Primarch I identify with the most, I think. But their character as the guys who sit there and take it while using guns is so perfect. Bolters and guns are still my favorites in 40k 😂

A fellow Imperial Fist. YES! YESSSS! I play Imperial Fists in Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade and fortify areas with my plasma gun / bolter / storm bolter, or keep my strike team alive while keeping our main line standing as well and firing at Chaos marines with my modified bolter. I love it. Favorite chapter to play in the Dawn of War games as well. Also Super Anchors voiced Rogal Dorn in TTS and now that I have that voice to put to Rogal's face I find him even more badass. Haha.

The reason why 5th company black looks so good with Fists is because yellow and black are both construction, as well as demolition, colors. Grey Knights say they're the hammer? Well they haven't seen what we can do with one, lol.
