I often wonder about "altars"- a practice which is brought up a lot in pagan witchcraft videos. Does Judaism allow for altars/ have something similar to an altar? I often set up a nice space Friday evenings to light my shabbat candles- that's the closest Ive come to making an altar. Would it be appropriate to make one for a loved one who has passed (complete with Yizkor candle)?
