Beware of lifestyle inflation... been there and it is not worth it. The excitement you get from buying expensive jewelry or have fancy dinners is temporal, while knowing that you build your wealth through stocks, real estate, or just through saving up cash is so much more satisfying. There is a phrase from Robert Kiyosaki about life style inflation that had put me back on track “looking good but going nowhere”. My father has always been a great inspiration, too. He always has been careful with consumption while he lavishly spent money on assets like real estate. I’m glad to have people in my life who show me the way to abundance. Alex, even though only virtually, is one of them who had taught me already so many lessons in the year I’m watching.

Your videos are both inspiring and depressing for me. I'm almost 34, have been in sales my whole life, now I'm a realtor. Only in my best years have I made 50k a year. I'm so tired of being broke. I'm not dumb, I hear people tell me that I'm brilliant and will be a millionaire one day, but I don't get what it is I am missing. I love hearing that you've made millions and you make it look so easy. I look at myself at it's sad I've never amounted to anywhere near that. Almost everyone I interact with at work makes 6+ figures per year and I'm over here barely making 30 right now. Lately I've been hesitant to try and find business by cold calling and running ads, it feels like most days it's a waste of time and money. My bills are low and nearly minimal, and I've been budgeting money as it comes in to try and be smart about it. Wtf am I missing? 😞😞😞

I would find another Agent in Office that is making what you want to make... Measure yourself & Biz against their Biz to assess where you are suffering most...be honest about where you are 'really' at w your skills vs other Agent... Then ask them for help...'If you were me what would you do?' Most newer agents struggle bc they work w bad clients...;
@nathantaib-ondemandpix9723 жыл бұрын
@@matthewmoseslee so I actually am doing this, I've done this at both offices I've been at. As of now, I'm taking one agent's advice of starting with lease leads, that will eventually turn into buyers in the next year or two. But I kind of hate it. So many of them have bad credit scores and are nearly impossible to work with due to their income or credit or background. Despite my office being in an expensive area, I'm still able to gather up high quality clients. I have worked with a lot of pleasant clients in the past, and some of them have sent me referrals. Most of which are at a completely different price point than the other agent's clients. I've helped a few dozen people in the 100-250k range, but around my office those houses are in the 600k-millions range. I did get my first million dollar listing a few months ago, and the guy was a dick. He refused to sell less than 1M, even though his house wasn't worth that much. I worked my ass off, even cleaned his entire house on mother's day so I could get it ready to photograph. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed the next day, and I still went to his house the day after to film and photograph it myself. A month later, he dropped me (and didn't even tell me directly) and listed with the top agent in our company, who copied every single thing I did when I listed it. The video they made looks exactly like mine. The photos they took are almost identical, I had to do a double take. I also spent over $1000 of my money marketing this and running ads. The agent that's been helping me out gave me advice on what to do and I followed it to a T and still ended up losing to the top agent. I know all clients arent like this, but I'm not a bad or lazy agent. I work my ass off and go above and beyond and I'm broke. It sucks 😞
@matthewmoseslee3 жыл бұрын
@@nathantaib-ondemandpix972 sounds like you don't see the real reason why you lost the deal to the other agent... I'd ask that Agent, 'I would love some advice, you can be brutally honest...Why do you think I failed to sell the property and you were able to sell the property?' There are clearly differences you can't see, they may be so subtle...honestly we human can be the best liars when we want to be... Your ability to find the subtle distinctions of what you are doing wrong and how to correct is the big difference between where you are now, and where you want to be... There are so many other ideas, its hard to diagnose your problems in a YT comment section... Just believe there is a correct answer to your problems, you just don't know the answer...failure is just a form of feedback, but you must look at the feedback, and not get upset and create a story around how hard you worked, and all the irrelevant circumstances surrounding your failed Million Dollar Listing...the relevant fact is the other agent in your office did most the same things got it sold...its the subtle things he did(that you are not even 'aware' of) different that the only relevant facts you need to find out...
@matthewmoseslee3 жыл бұрын
@@nathantaib-ondemandpix972 you have the start, recognizing you have a problem, working hard, but this is one of the places a coach is so valuable, because they point out the subtle distinctions that relevant to help you get the results you lack... One valuable piece of advice...is get rid of the story you have about how hard you work, and how long you've been doing sales...these don't matter, what matters is taking the right knowledge, skills, and confidence...putting it in action... I would go to my broker have them give me an assessment on what I'm lacking...if you had the same knowledge, skills, and confidence as the top producers you wouldn't be stuck making $30k... Best of Luck...hope you can swallow that advice...it can be uncomfortable to confront the truth
