You could have everything and still be denied .It's a matter of luck, God's will plus your effort in answering well. I was denied despite having travelled to Switzerland and the UK and being married and having property. They usually won't even ask documents for those who qualify they don't even check and they get granted. All the best next time!

Nairobi US embassy makes so many people cry weuh, even for people filling for immigration visas bcoz they are married to a US citizen are experiencing difficulties with the issue date taking 2yrs on average. The visa is a money making machine so deny more ppl and since most ppl want to go to the US, they know those denied will keep applying so more money. It’s this money that finances the embassy and the USAid being dished out , so the denial has nothing to do with you, I feel like they usually have a set number to issue in a day.

For B1B2 visa application, your home ties is more important than your reasons of traveling to the USA. You can travel for visit, tourism, graduation and other things. It's very important for you to prove, you will return home. During your interview, demonstrate your strong ties to your home country such as your family, business, your job /business with other reasons that will make you to return to your home country. To every consular officers, every applicants is an intending immigrants. It is your duty to prove and demonstrate to the consular that you will return to your home country after your visit to the US. Remember, you don't have much time to prove that; you just have to be proactive from the first question, the answer to the first question is very important - It will determine if your visa will be approved or denied. It's there that you need to prove your home ties. The interview is always very short. It's like normal and honest conversation. Lastly, when you apply for B1b2 visa, always demonstrate that you will return to your home country from your answer to the very first interview question. Note that, home ties is more important than your reasons of traveling to the US. Next time, you will be approved. Be proactive to tell the consular you will return to Kenya from the very answer to the first question that will be asked from the consular. Congratulations in advance. Love from Nigeria. ❤

There are varied reasons: one is the reason of travel - content creation is work and you had applied for B1/2 Type of Visa. I wish you indicated that you were visiting a friend/relative or attending an event e.g. graduation, birthday, wedding etc. I feel like immediately you indicated "content creation", its like you were going to work hence, a different type of visa Always the interview starts with your application form. So, lets always be keen when applying. Please check on the internet on Podcasts/Videos by former Visa Officers on how to handle B1/2 Visa, F1 Visas etc. The Dos and Don'ts. They are really elaborate and very insightful The Visa Officers have a policy that indicates "I am not giving you visa until you convince me why I should approve". The applicant has the honours to convince the Visa Officer why they should approve the visa application The denial pink paper is generic to all the applicants. They do not give you specific reasons but it means you didn't meet one of the requirements. Wish you success in your next application. You are smarter now

You should've said that it's for tourism/visiting purposes, as you mentioned having a friend in the U.S. Instead, you told them that you were going to the USA for content creation, which may have given them the impression that you would overstay your visa for the sake of creating new content. When you were asked if you were married, they were checking if you had strong ties to your country that would ensure your return after the trip, such as a spouse, children, work, business, or school. The USA is strict when it comes to granting visas because, let me tell you, once you have a U.S. visa sticker in your passport, it becomes an international passport. You'll still need to apply for visas to enter other countries, but no country will deny your visa application if you have a U.S. visa sticker in your passport. Moreover, there are numerous countries that will allow you to travel to their countries without a visa if you have a valid U.S. visa. So, they take many things into consideration because many countries value their visa system. But never give up. One denial shouldn't stop you from moving forward.

Let me tell you why you got denied the Visa, One you are Young and they are afraid you will not Return Back to Kenya And you will Stay in US, illegally. Second is that you don't have Property in Kenya which would make you come back to Kenya. Third, is that Your Host didn't have enough Money in the Bank to be able to Support You. Being Single is not the Case To Deny Visa. Single People get Visa everyday.

Malika from what you have explained. I don’t think being married is a reason for you to be denied the visa. The letter of denial explains that you did not have enough ties to your home country Kenya, that shows you will come back after your visit. Most of the time people are denied due to these ties. You have to show enough proof of these ties to your country. Some of the ties could be for your case family ties, you can show you have a daughter, that will make you come back to your daughter. In this case carry your daughter’s birth certificate. Then if you have property like land or house in your name, you can bring the title deed, that’s ties to show you will come back to your property after your visit, if you have a job if employed you can bring a letter from your company showing you are employed by that company and you will come back to your job, if you are married you can bring marriage certificate or birth certificates to your children , that shows you will come back to your family…. Even single people get visas, so work on these ties , then tell the truth, never lie at the embassy, speak with eye contact to the interviewer, leaning or bending while speaking and avoiding eye contact with the interviewer may portray a sign of deception, they may mistake you for lying. Never ever be late for the visa interview, Good luck next time.

Sorry, there is always a next time. But marriage cannot be a real reason for denial unless you lie. I think they denied because you do not have sufficient travel history. I would recommend you visit Uganda, Tanzania, then branch out to Dubai or Doha Qatar, those places rarely deny visit visas and carry alot of weight with regard to travel history. After you have done that then you can apply for Schengen visa like Spain or Porugal. The UK will definitely deny your application if you do not have a sponsor in the UK so dont apply for that just yet. Also YT is work and you are applying for a Visit visa, that will be a problem.

Unfortunately, the world is full of people who want to be in the US. The consulate works on the premise that everyone wants to live and work in the US. So, if you don't have a place to live, a physical business or a job in your country, it's their belief you will want them in the US. You've also shown them a lot of intentions to work with your friend and that is not for a B1/B2 visa. A B1 visa is for pure tourism and returning to your country. The B2 component is the business tourism component, you can attend conferences and meet with business entities and go back home. Even though you have no intentions to stay on after entry, things can change once you're in the country. A friend could convince you to stay, or you could be the victim of a crime and become their responsibility.

It's NOT being Single. It's VERY difficult and it's not the US either. That is some Kenyan issues. Maybe try Europe first and get that on your Travel history. I've seen the issue Tayo Ania went through trying to leave Nigeria and travel. He ended having to get another Passport. I don't think that Kenya is that hard but just keep applying. Basically I thought that the visa form have requested documentation that you present with your Application. If withheld they have no way of knowing and most likely will not ask as their sole purpose is to limit unnecessary or unprofitable entry to the Country. I remember presenting all documentation to the Immigration Officer for our Territory/Region. It was assessed and what they did not want was also given back to me. Things like your Invitation letter ✉ Passport 🙏Bank statement 🏦 Job letter or Business certificate if self employed or in business 🙏Property Deeds - Land! House 🙏 Support system - Self or Host. Actually there was an area for waiting ✋ then you enter another area where these documents was requested and assessed as required and taken with your passport as it was recorded and you given a receipt with a number 🤔 You then enter the evaluation room to sit and wait ✋ your turn for the interview 😉 and the rest was up to the Immigration Officer upon final review of your documentation and questions and answer when you are called to their window 🪟 I guess the process in Kenya 🇰🇪 or other territory is different. I suggest that you try and accumulate a small portion of land🙏and a vehicle to upgrade your asset. Even if not for travel🙏Starting the process with a term goal in mind will be nice for say a 1- 2year plan. Have a separate saving account where you will save for such investments. Monthly you can have a targeted amount that you will set aside for that 🙏Lets say $100.00 monthly for two years or you or a 24months, 36 months, 48months or 60months plan of the specific amount. I have worked in the UK visa section. Content creation is a very vague reason - to make matters worse you are single. There must be a valid reason that will make you come back to your country, no job (official appointment letter, family ties e.g husband, school etc.} Don't give up, try once more. UK is not any easier, look for concrete reasons. Soldiers have no idea.

Right now getting a Visa is hard for the USA. We are having trouble with immigration right now. Next time try to come as a tourist. Content creation is tricky since you’ll be considered “working.” Have your itinerary and events documented and or tickets purchased.

Personally, I would not purchase tickets without knowing about the visa. You may not get all of your money back if visa denied. I would however book a flight and have an itinerary ready for them. That one you can cancel or it will automatically cancel out without cost. Confirm that though.

The consuler needed an explanation, like yes am married to so and so, we got married in the year... And we are planning to do this after my stay in the US. I personally i was asked same question, whom am i staying with, and i just answered, with my wife, bare in mind i had indicated in the ds 160 that am married, but i didn't explain anything then i was given a pink paper.

I believe that you were denied because you said you were going there as a content creator. If you were married then this would be seen as a reason to return back home since you are so young they think you might try to stay in the USA. Please look at these two content creators that are very good with details about applying for the USA visa. One is Shiko Hope Tv USA and the other one is Essie Wakago in America. Both are excellent creators that give knowledge and advise. I believe that you will get here soon. Don’t listen to people that say don’t come but come to experience America for yourself. I think you may need a job letter from your place of work, so they know you will be going back to your country. The very first time l apply for my visa, l was very young but working The only documents l had was a bank statement , a job letter and a letter of invitation from my host. At the interview, l just told them l am going for vacation. You don't know but they make a background check especially your bank account. They look at the trend to find out how the money is deposited. For example if you put a lump sum of money, it sends a red flag. They assume that you borrowed the money from someone to put on your account. I wish you luck. Always be truthful .

Have been denied twice and all my interviews were done abroad, i was to visit my sister who lives in US. One major reason is coz you're single and may be no kids, that proves you dont have strong ties in your home country which means there is a possibility once you go to the US you might not return to Kenya and thats why they deny visas. Your DS 160 has every detail that you filled in and lying can lead you to prison. before you get there for the interview a decision is already made and they dont even look at your papers. i was extremley dissapointed too. keep trying.some try even 10 times
