visa approved and collected yesterday.. Some tips: Most importantly be Truthful. Dress smart. Don’t over talk/answer only what you are been asked. Have a good ties with your home country. Lastly don’t use or pay any agent.

Awesome Damilola , thanks for the for the beautiful video , please I want to go for an event conference in April 17 to 19 2024 , should I apply for a tourist or EB _ 3 visa , 1,I will us want do other courses ,eg cake 2, Please I have my 3 nephew and mother living with me (Ties Should I say my nephew are my children 3,My financial strong but my nephew will sponsor.. 4, This my skills ,am into celebrate cake Baker , caterer decorator and event planner and I have done other professional course all in same field. I never travel You know am going to stay longer And will also like you do a detailed video on B1,,B2, D's 160 and most importantly EB_3

Thanks for the video Dami. For someone going for a conference, how long will the Visa processing take to still meet up with the conference?

You have to pay an agent to get you a date close by, else 2024/2025 days awaits you. A conference is not an emergency, so u won’t be given special preference for early Date. Emergency are like medical issue, burial, school resuming in a few weeks times. An agent will charge u from N200k upwards to get a date within a few months. If you’re attending a conference, make sure it’s directly related to what you’re doing. Let them know if you so be contributing in any way. Maybe giving a speech or something. Or if you’re the company representative. Training route is generally better than conference. Conference these days can be vague. But if you will b personally impacted, let them know. Pls go with your invite letter from the conference.

Yes. A letter from your school will do. The fact that you’re in final year means you need to come back home to finish studies.

I believe there is a spousal visa route. It’s better to go that way. Using B1/B2 to go see your spouse, is risky. They will think you want to run away and not come back.

Just be honest... You don't have a travel history. Hopefully other parts of the interview will make up for this.

If you have appointments at the us since 2020 and it was rescheduled to 2023, it's the same ds 160 form you will fill or new ds 160 form

Fill a new form. Update your travel reason. You will be denied if you’re using a 2020 reason to travel in 2023

If someone created their bank account before one month the interview would they accept only one month bank statement? How much bank balance do you need for 20 days visit?

1 month is not enough sir. For a 20 day visit, you should have the return flight ticket money, accommodation, feeding cost at least in your account. This shows you can take care of yourself in US. Pls work towards a 3 months statement at least

You might be lucky and they won’t ask you for your proof of business owernship. But there must b proof of how you make your monthly income.

No medicals needed for B1/B2 visa. Except it’s visa for permanent relocation

I think this is risky cos the expiring date is precised on the form you have filled. To be on the safe side renew your passport before you fill the form.

Without paying an agent to get you a date within the current year, the date you will get yourself on the visa portal will be no less than 2024/2025. Let me know if you intend to travel soon. An agent can get you a date within this year for about 200-250k depending on urgency

In May, ensure you redo ur DS 160 form to updated info. You need to find a new reason. You can be bounced if your reason for travelling has passed even if you’re sincere. So pls look for another valid reason to travel.
