Life got a little weird. I mentioned it before, but since you've all been super patient and loyal, I figured a little explanation on what on earth has been going on here might be at hand. Here's a little 'behind the brain'. Enjoy?
My other channel which I mention in this video:

Great words of wisdom there Stijn! I had no clue you were going through this man. If I had know I wouldn't have let you participate on our Phonogram Traveling Tape Project a few months back! Honestly. How you did it it beyond me. You shouldn't have as it probably contributed to your anxiety (Arrgh!). Anyway, sorry if participating on my silly traveling tape project added to this. Stay healthy!

Hey, practical stuff is exactly what's good for me now so the PTTP was all fine. No worries whatsoever!

I can totally relate to the mental health stuff. I live in UK but the brief time I lived in Netherlands, I used to cycle around. That was like your walk, a bit of therapy.

I never liked cycling for some reason, do love walking. I am planning a walk from Southend on Sea to Bristol somewhere next year (not sure when yet) so if you're somewhere on that trail (mostly thames path, of course), come say hi :D.

@@AlexMitchell-sj4sb I mean I do have friends in Sheffield so you never know. For now their plan is to visit me first though. I visited them last time when they were still living in Nottingham.

Only found your channel looking up headphones and folding laundry. Can't quite place it but I really liked your approach in the review, and even more so in this video. It's very encouraging to see people find what works for them, I'm only piecing it together myself 😅

What I can suggest to you is to try and do one thing and one thing only, and keep that up for a few days, see how your brain and body respond. And also try changing the things that you 'have been doing for years'. One of them may be an issue that you don't think twice about, because it 'was fine until now'. These things never come all of a sudden. My psychologist thinks for me it started in about 2005ish. I do find that focusing on one thing and not letting other things distract you really help. Folding laundry is a good one! :D. I also hope the headphone review helped!

Only recently. Between that only a few videos and a few loudspeaker videos. No speedtests, no reviews, no explanation videos (other than a quickly shot one on my couch about cartridge compliance :D)

This is what happens when you don’t put curry sauce on your chips! 🤔😀 but seriously one thing that helps steady my mind is doing something that’s creative in an analog way….things like a diy project or servicing an amp …..something you can get engrossed in that doesn’t need other people but has a sense of satisfaction when it’s done. It’s good to create some space for those kinds of things. Taking time to read an old school book is another one. God knows what being on screens all the time is doing to our brains (he says while using a screen!). Hope you manage to find some balance. Embrace the curry 😉

As in; indian curry? Can I have a link to that sauce please? :D. You're absolutely spot on about the 'creative in an analog way'. This is also why I never stopped working on audio, but didn't edit videos so much. I have been doing a lot of practical stuff. Tidying, housework, taking walks, repairing audio. But not a lot of computer stuff. I did find that sitting on the couch with my laptop at the end of a day is just fine, but trying to focus on 'work' is tricky. Things are looking up though, but they're still a bit sensitive. Great response, thank you so much!

Chip shop curry sauce it is. I'll be in the UK in September, will make sure to get some (not a thing here)

You seem like a guy who thinks a lot an who's thoughts are all over the place. Are you familiar with Eckhart Tolle. There is a series of podcasts called essential teachings. Basically they are registrations of talks he is holding so he often says the the same thing. I don't mind that. I find them very pleasant and enlightening. Could be nice to listen to on you solo walks. By the way (pun intended) cyclist don't greet you because they think you should walk on the other side of the road (I know because I cycle a lot :p)

You're supposed to walk on the left when the traffic is on the right, so you can see each other coming. Also I was actually on the pavement, he should have been on the road. It wasn't a cycle path :D. I'll look at Eckhart Tolle. Won't hurt. Although I am actually trying to listen to less podcasts (they cost more energy than music :D).
