I'm so thankful you didn't give up, cave-in, or quit! You persevered and won the victory. Thank you sooo much Linda, Tina and the Nursing administrator! You ladies helped make a real difference in a young woman's life. I really enjoy the videos speaking about your life experiences and the current events in Nigeria. I found out that Mrs. Winnie Mandela had passed away on your channel , before I even heard it on the news here(U.S.). I think you have a wonderfully unique point of view. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us!

I had a similar experience owing a former school $800. I needed the credits from that school to graduate from my new nursing school. An elderly woman got a loan for me using her home as collateral (I found out much later that her home was used for collateral). My friend who knew told me to pay back or the lady would loose her home. My fees were paid and credits transferred the very morning of graduation. Needless to say that God has blessed me. Anyone coming to me from home for school fees my husband and I help. I praise God for ur life Summer. God bless you and remember to pay it forward. We shall never forget the goodness of God in our lives. God will help us Also my church, the church I was born in and grew up in refused to help when my parents asked for help. A church they served faithfully for years. BUT the provided money to hire a criminal barrister for the choir mistress daughter charged with robbery. Church oo

I can relate with your story👍 most Nigeria students abroad go through same if not worse. Thank God for who we are as a people we are more than conquerors. I had to undergo another dead end battle after all my fees have been remitted, they wanted me to go back and pay for a new VISA to come and continue because my student VISA was gone exhausted during the time I was kicked out. I still kept all my death sentence letter the UNI wrote me ( that’s what I call those letters because you can’t have one without tears dropping from your eyes) some how, it makes me remember the tough decisions I had to make to get to where I am now! I’m sure those years made you stronger and makes you the better you, it doesn’t matter what you graduated with your smart to even graduate with something in the first place. With children, working and attending UNI. I was a one man mopol and I almost gave up. 100% respect to you👍. Banging on that subscribe link, Nice video! You just opened and reconnected a chapter of my life that I never discuss with no man, that was why till now I still worship some two people who gave me £100 each as if it was millions in those days. Glad you had Tina and Linda to your rescue, families are the worst people to turn to in situations like that and they are the first to feel entitled when you finally arrive! You will even send 50k to some they won’t even call to say they got it! Pathetic set of human!!! Once again thanks for the video👍

Dear Summer, I've watched a couple of your videos and wondered why you appeared quite tough while what I see and feel, is a lady soft and loving. I can only imagine what raced through your mind as you literally were kicked out of college (it was God who turned your story around using people you didn't bank on). Wow! good one. You are a wonderful mom, I can tell. You have seen the hand of God, no wonder you talk deeply about Him in ways a lot cannot relate. Take care and God bless you.

Summer, I would like to applaud you for holding on the in spite of all the difficulties you went through. Paid off a 3 yr loan in 1 yr. You got a job just to pay off your fees. Empty promises from your cousin all that. Like the fact that you kept attending classes , even after you were kicked out of class. You were so determined that you were not ready to give up and I believe that's the reason God intervened through Linda. Love the fact that you allowed nothing to get in your way.Glad you graduated and are living the life you want. High Five to you!

Your story is mine. Every tear, every sleepless night not knowing how to gather the money to pay that astronomical tuition ($50k/yr in the US), feelings of utter uselessness while the amount of extra fees keeps growing. I ended up being charged more than $10k in EXTRA FEES on top of my last semester tuition that I already could not pay! Yes, paying 30K for a semester that originally cost 19K. Being a poor is expensive! I am an African international student without access to US loans who took a chance to go do my 2yr Master's with only half-tuition merit scholarship for one year. Somewhere during the 2nd semester of the 1st year the money ran out... I went to this very prestigious US uni where a few US presidents attended... Privilege everywhere while i was suffocating under the weight of this financial burden. I would at the library regularly when I was not working to survive. How could I study! Wishing I had never done that to myself and my family back home. but one year in if I left I would have been out 50K and NO DEGREE. I had to FIND A WAY. I will always remember the people who agreed to be guarantors for my 3rd semester and the last one... Just went unpaid. I was out an extra 10K + interest but at least I had my DEGREE. Very prestigious degree...that still took me 6+ months to find a job.but then, what a job lol God is good. 3 years I almost paid off everything and I am in a position to hire their students and I am the sponsor of a recruitment program for the same school within my company. I can't say that the situation doesnt make me laugh but I thank God and pay it forward.

Aahh! Summer. I know your pain . It happened to my daughter because I was going through a divorce and had adapted an orphan who was also at University. Girl, that was the most difficult year of my life. I cried all the time and funny enough my daughter was so strong. She kept the faith. Meanwhile her name is not registered. But as God would have it the University kept extending the closing time for fees to be paid. Eventually the student loan was approved I don't know how because they approve the loan, they check how much you earn, and the costs of living. I didn't qualify but God made it possible and my daughter is now an Attorney. God works in miraculous ways.

Summer Aku, you are not alone. It is good you shared this memory. A lot of foreign students went/go through the same situation, but it was easier when some of us came to the USA, because I guess there were jobs, and lots of jobs then, and no "Green Card" asked. But now, things are a bit different. Currently, foreign students are barred from working in the USA without the necessary papers/documentation; and the immigration laws are tighter. I am happy that you made it.

Think an uncle or pastor will help you? You must be joking. Pastors, particularly Nigerian ones mostly want to be worshipped & for u bring them your money, talent & time. As for uncles, he will ask himself what is his business with you, but if he falls really sick now, then he will remember his niece the nurse in Ireland. That’s life...

This was such an encouraging video. I am so sure that you are not just an encouragement to those of us watching but to your own children. You have experienced a lot but you trust God and God never fails those who put their trust in Him.
