1 Corinthians 11-13
New International Version
11 1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
On Covering the Head in Worship
2 I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you. 3 But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man,[a] and the head of Christ is God. 4 Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head-it is the same as having her head shaved. 6 For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head.
7 A man ought not to cover his head,[b] since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; 9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. 10 It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own[c] head, because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.
13 Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? 14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, 15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. 16 If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice-nor do the churches of God.

It is well that a Christian woman cover her head, according to the scripture, but you do not believe the scripture, so why even bother? You deny the name of the Almighty God, Jesus Christ, and you imagine that he hears your prayers? You are greatly deceived dear woman. There is no god called Yahuah. The scripture testifies clearly that the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, is JESUS CHRIST. Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is NONE OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN, given among men, whereby we must be saved. Amen.

I remember reading when Paul went out to preach to the pagans in Corinth, the pagan women who were prostitutes in the temples were bald. When they converted to Christianity it was recommended that they cover their head because they stood out amongst the believers. Also women wore their hair in fancy styles up off their shoulders. But the natural hair uncut and long draped like a shawl would have been acceptable. It is best not to stand out as wearing fancy ornaments in the hair, etc. Mary Magdalene used her hair to dry the feet of Christ, and He had no problem with her hair long and flowing. Sometimes the meaning gets lost, but the examples speak volumes.

@@backtobat2 ok so far I had been covering my head with a shawl when doing my quiet time for the past couple of years+ but was struggling to find suitable head coverings. I bought some square head scarves from Amazon. I've been wearing mostly skirts and dresses too. I used to wear Jeans and t-shirts all the time but I'm going to be 50 next year so I thought I should dress my age as well as being more modest and I like long flowing skirts and dresses but finding them in the shops is tricky. I wore a head covering to work for the first time this week. One of my colleagues was worried that I had a health condition and other people have been worried if something has happened to my hair.

@@rachelblunden3349 oh dear! it can be tricky to wear head scarves and such because people automatically seem to think something is wrong. Why does it mean something is wrong? I guess not many people wear head coverings all the time so you can find yourself telling differant people the same story over and over. It is a chance to share Christ with people, but it depends on if you feel comfortable with that-not everyone is an evangelist. Ive bought dresses from Amazon too. They do tend to be the right length but they are very tight so I wear cardigans with them when I wear them. 50 is still young! No need to give up your jeans! Do whatever Christ calls you to do, if you feel you want to go modest then go for it but dont feel you have to 'dress your age' as age is just a number. Chat with God about what you should wear and go with that. May He lead you in all paths, Be Blessed x

Thank you! this was very helpful. I also have been wearing Christian Headcovering for the past 4 years. People stare at me. I feel especially uncomfortable when I enter Evangelical Christian, Catholic, or Orthodox churches. Like you said, people believe that you are on some kind of spiritual path that may be contrary to theirs in those venues. I don't want to call attention to myself or have those people think that I am showing off that I am more spiritual than they are. I don't know what to say to them. Thank you for helping me come up with an answer than reflects an attitude of humility and meekness.

Hello, friend. I also have worn and sometimes wear head coverings as a Christian. I know the kind of response you describe because I've been criticized by a (divorced and remarried) pastor for practicing "religiosity". Other pastors have pointed me out to the congregation during services for my "kerchief." Once I was run off the road by some country folks who thought I was a Muslim and swore at me and told me to go back to my country. On the other side, many Christians are uncomfortable with someone just trying to be obedient. I gave up for awhile but I am convicted to try again. I will pray for you and please pray for me as I try to be obedient in spite of the harassment.

Thank you so much for sharing this and for the Bible verses. I too felt called to cover a few years ago and have found so much peace and joy in it. It has really helped me to humble myself, especially in a world of looks and outward appearances mean so much, which sadly is even in the church. We are called to be set apart, different, unusual, spotless, and blamelesss, not look and act like the world around us. I was called out publicly from the pulpit for it in church which was so embarrassing, but I didn't let it faze me to much because you don't know what you don't know. I grew up in the church and had never known anyone to cover and never heard teaching on it, so I can see how people simply don't understand it. In my research I studied 1 Cor 11 a lot as well for months. I also looked into the meanings in Greek. The word for covering in 1 Corthians 11:4, 5,6,7, 13, is the word, katakalýptō, from katá, "down, and kalýptō, "to cover"-cover down, to make appropriate (complete), i.e. to wear a veil. It is the same word used for the veil that separated the Holy of holies from the priests. It is clearly taking about a peice of fabric. But vrs 15 does NOT use the same word for covering. Vrs 15. "but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering." This is a different word for "cover"= "peribolaion," that which is thrown around or a mantel that can be thrown around (As in when a women tosses or throws her hair around) which can be very alluring to men. This is where we get the saying, "Let your hair down." Up until only the last generation woman covered in Church. It was only during the sexual revolution that Chriatin women in North America stopped covering their heads. ALL of our grandmothers would have covered in church. This is why the Hutterites, Mennonites, Amish, orthodox churches, many African congratations, and messiniac Jews, etc still cover their hair. We are not supposed to be like the world. Thank you so much for sharing. 1 Corinthians 11:1-18 Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you. But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, but every wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, since it is the same as if her head were shaven. For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. But since it is disgraceful for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, let her cover her head. For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man. For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. That is why a wife ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman; for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God. Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a wife to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him, but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering. If anyone is inclined to be contentious, we have no such practice, nor do the churches of God.

Thank you so much for doing this video. Covering our hair and head is becoming a must these days. My name is Anastasia. I was born into a Catholic home (my mother who is so destroyed from what they did to her in childhood came from the Catholic background - my father had no formal religion but joined the church for his kids). I've had quite the history with the Catholic Church and left it in my early 20s to find out the true horrors in my late 40s. I no longer follow formal religion for many reasons but I'm a God Gurl from long long ago. I came out of my Mother's belly loving our Father and his Son. I have been devoted to them in every lifetime I have every lived. And for the last 15 years I have walked with him and his son from sun up to sundown and asked for their protection by night. The last 15 years I have been under heavy attacks for raising awareness in our world. God asked me to do land and water blessings (also called Planetary Healing or Prayer Walking) for him when I was run out of business with a DVD I did about the whales and dolphins and their messages to humanity back in 2008/11. Both my cats were killed (they were like my children) life has been extremely harsh for me this past 15 years raising awareness but it is the most important work I have done to date for God. So I also raise awareness on the New World Order and their transgender agenda. Immediately I began being hit (by what I had no friggin idea) I have since learned it is a combination of demonology and witchcraft at the higher orders of EVIL. These transgendered children the generational families have been breeding for over 2000 years now have the most horrendous and dangerous black magic. They can kill a person with it. God tells me the things done to them in childhood makes them much nastier witches than most. (not all transgendered people are into this - some are very confused from their upbringings and don't even realize they long for something different) And most good children of God have no idea how prevalent and horrendous witchcraft is in our world today. God led me to learning about head covers to protect myself from these attacks and when I know I'm going to be around people like this I always have my head covered. (I'm here to help God heal these people - this is my calling) If anyone has problems with darkness and evil attacking them in the head, the heart or your organs - this will protect your head like you cannot believe. Prayer while wearing it is important too - the two go hand in hand together for protection and depending on how often the attacks come you may have to do this a dozen times a day or more. If the head covering doesn't do it alone ask God to Armour you up so that you can continue his work in comfort. God Bless us all - I'm seeing amazing things on God's great green Earth this year - I'm so encouraged when I'm out blessings the Earth. I get spirits and orbs in my pictures this past 15 years - - - something amazing for God's children is underfoot. I'm seeing the dark side being paid back for their darkness a lot lately - right in front of me. Prepare yourselves my brothers and sisters - the very best is yet to come!!! It will be worth the wait although on somedays I know we all question this. God and his Son love you all so very much for your dedication to them and to our world. God Bless All His Children!!!

Also, here's some verses in the OT about head covering. Hope these help if anyone is interested. Isaiah 47:1-2. Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstones and grind flour, "put off your veil", strip off your robe, uncover your legs, pass through the rivers. (So as we can see, even virgins were to keep their heads covered and save their hair for their husbands. Otherwise it is like they are showing all their nakedness). Numbers 5:18. Then the priest shall stand the woman before the LORD, "uncover the woman’s head," and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy. And the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse. Also Genesis 20:16 says in the Hebrew Then to Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; indeed this is "a covering for her eyes" (to put back on her wedding covering) you before all who are with you and before everybody.” Thus she was rebuked. From what I understand In Genesis 24:65. Rebekah covers herself because the bridal price has already been paid. 2 vrs later we see Isaac take Rebekah bright away into his tent. There was no wedding ceremony. Her covering herself was an outward show of her marriage to Isaac. Since they were married he was allowed to take her right away into his tent and "uncover" her.

I would be the only one. I used to wear a hat to church back in the early 90s but was told by the leadership that it was not a practice they would encourage. I felt it was a choice between covering and remaining a member of that church. I in a different church now, but I am afraid of the same thing happening again. I wish I was stronger. I say, each to their own but be careful of legalisam. For myself as a Christian woman, I have a freedom in Christ, as one who accepts me 'as I am' and feel no desire or need to take on a special appearance. There are several commentaries on head coverings worth looking at. One such example is: First, we need to understand why this chapter was written. Paul had received a letter from the Corinthian church regarding many problems it was encountering. This epistle was written to help straighten out some confusing issues. One of these was the question of whether a woman should veil, or cover, her head in church since the custom was that most women kept their heads covered in and out of the church. The reason this was a much-discussed issue was that one of the oral Jewish traditions dictated that when entering the temple for worship, the males, or “heads of the house,” were to wear the Jewish tallith, or veil. According to the Jewish tradition this was a sign of reverence toward God and a condemnation of sin. Paul was very strongly against all Jewish legalism (circumcision being one of these) being imposed on new Christian converts. He was also opposed to the veiling or covering of men because they were no longer under any condemnation or guilt since Jesus took that away through His sacrifice. Now the question had come up over women veiling or covering in church. What would he say for them to do? Paul seized the opportunity to teach them by presenting a spiritual analogy that would enable them to arrive at their own conclusion. We find Paul’s conclusion to their question of women veiling in verse 16, “But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.” He simply says this is a custom of the women, but it is not a church ordinance. This explanation clarifies the matter for us today, but we will miss a beautiful spiritual application if we fail to look at these verses further as every portion of the Scriptures contains some deep and eternal principle applicable to every age. We can see that Paul is using an analogy here. He is not discussing a cloth covering, or veil, when he speaks of a woman having her head covered, because in verse 15 he clearly says a woman’s hair is given to her for a covering. “But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.” The Spiritual Covering What kind of covering does he mean? He is not speaking of a literal covering at all, but a spiritual covering. Let us see what this spiritual covering is. Isaiah 30:1 says, “Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin.” We can see here that the Spirit of God is our covering. He warned those that sought any “covering” other than His Spirit. This should speak plainly to us that our covering is not to be found in men.

also...why did Jesus not rebuke Mary for drying His feet with her hair if we are suppose to cover it?...i asked this question once of another preacher who preaches that women should cover their hair....rather than answer he blocked me from commenting!!...I don't know if we are meant to or not to be honest but i do know that i get a headache even from tying my hair back or wearing a cap....i also get an itchy scalp if i wear a hat or scarf for too long so surely God would not want this? There are times it is practical i.e gardening to stop the wind blowing it about into knots but it's still very uncomfortable for me....i get very hot and i have to keep adjusting it all the time....i cant find anything anywhere in scripture apart from paul's writings that say we should cover our hair however there is stuff that suggests makeup is a sin....alot of these women that wear head coverings plaster themselves with makeup which i find hypocritical and a bit ridiculous

I like your video a lot, and agree with you. I wonder if someone will ask if you are a chemo patient. I've seen videos where women who cover all the way in front of the hairline are asked this. When a slight amount shows at the hairline, it takes the guesswork away. I'm trying to get started with this myself. I've seen so many videos now, and have researched the history. It began with women wearing hanging veils, and part of the hair showed around the face, but usually pulled back. There's a lot of debate about it, and a woman should probably do what she is being led to do.

Which exact styles of head covering are seen as Christian? I wore a head covering for just a little over four months back in 2018 but found only one covering which I got in many colors. However in time I felt very awkward because I felt I might seem like a Muslim, and I did not want to cause a wall between myself and others. It was odd how it happened. I was in the hospital from end of December 2018 to early January 2019 -- just eight days though it felt like forever -- with pneumonia, MRSA and heart issues. While I was there it was like I totally without a head covering, and when I left the hospital I felt like, "Whoa! How did that happen?" and of course it just felt natural that I had just tied my hair in a ponytail atop my head the whole time there -- but it felt strange that I had not missed the covering at all. This caused me to feel a bit confused as I am the only person I know that was wearing a head covering for biblical reasons, but my concern for being thought to be Muslim had continued, thus the feeling it may have been a wall (for me if not for others -- that maybe it made me feel too timid for evangelism). The feminist thrust in society is SO strong, and makes things feel complicated. I have not worn a head covering for four-plus years now, but am feeling called again to wear the head covering. This time, because of the general style of my dress (which many would call boho I think as many of my blouses are Guatemalan huipils and quite colorful) I will probably wear the coverings I recently ordered but have not yet received: cotton and colorfully patterned yet a simple design for the "large cap" sort of style, or when I wear my t-shirts (most of which have Bible quotes and whatnot) will wear the same style but looking more like a red or black bandana print. It's odd because my whole life I assumed I could not wear hardly ANY head covering because my hair is so thick. Now, unlike before, I will let the bottom ends of my hair (which is not all that long, barely past shoulder length because it has trouble growing) show from underneath the caps or veilsl Since the term is "head covering" and not "hair covering" it seems that would be all right and it makes it much less troublesome overall to wear them. I also plan to return to wearing mostly my full long skirts which are very simple, have wonderful pockets and my favorites are denim fabric. I have one lighter denim and one heavier denim, and I always need to wear pettipants when wearing skirts or dresses. I went for about 5-plus years wearing ONLY long skirts and it was interesting to me that not even one person ever asked me about my skirts -- until I started wearing loose slacks again, and the person expressed surprise and wondered why. I was so surprised to be asked my answer was beyond lame, but the real reason is that I drive a car average once a week and getting into the car in my skirts has always been VERY difficult (think large person, very small car). So although I will go back to mostly long skirts, on driving days I will switch to some loose slacks (pants, trousers, not sure what everyone calls them as I'm in U.S.). My favorite pants were expensive and hard to get as they are good old-fashioned thickish 100% cotton -- which I love because natural fabrics such as cotton protects the skin if there is a fire while synthetic fabrics not only burn easily but burn into a person's skin. (I had a friend who learned about this the hard way and made sure I knew the value of always wearing natural fabrics.) The slacks I got online (the only way I can buy clothes 95% of the time) that are called "all cotton" and "100% cotton" really are not and all come from Asian countries where they must have a different definition for cotton. It is getting harder to get true cotton these days without it being blended with polyester or whatever and I think the marketing people don't want to admit it maybe. Not really sure. I definitely agree that it is humbling to wear a head covering as I have had a lot of vanity in regard to my hair. I would love to wear the kind that looks like in biblical movies with a scarf wrapped about the neck but any attempt to do such a thing -- I am a total klutz and have given up on it until and unless some come out that are prestructured and sewn in place for me! And I also understand what Samantha is saying, that we must be careful not to take on some kind of spiritual pride, which is something to watch out for head covering or not! I have also for the first time thrown away my makeup. I have wrestled with that most of my life though mostly have gone without for decades now... I would love to hear other ladies' views on these things -- regarding hair covering style, whether any hair shows from below the head covering, etc., etc. Do you feel the same as I do, think I am all wet, whatever. Michele

I came back to the faith over three months ago after drifting away from God for over 20 years. And for the past month I have been questioning this Scripture and felt I wanted to do something about it. I also felt that I should no longer cut my hair. So I'm still in the process of working this out. I'm a domestic in a hospital, and a head cover would really feel too much in the heat of work, so perhaps I can work around this.

In context, at the time of Paul, wealthy women would adorn their hair with jewels and literally braid gold into their hair to show off their wealth. Paul called christian women to cover our hair in church so that people would not be separated based off class, and it's a sign of humbleness and modesty in the presence of God. It's also common in many religions and folk traditions for women to cover while engaging in anything spiritual as a protection against evil spirits/demons and to center themselves. Personally I've found head covering to be very calming, and practicing modesty in general really helps me to obsess about my appearance less. One of the great struggles of women is to be seen for who we are rather than what we look like. I used to cover 24/7 when I was experimenting with Islam, but ever since coming back to Christ, I've only been doing it in Church. Maybe someday I'll have the courage and discipline to do it all the time again

Not Eve no, however a little later in Genesis we get... Genesis 24:64-65 records that Rebecca, while traveling to meet Isaac, "did not flaunt her physical beauty" but "veiled herself, increasing her allure through an outward display of modesty. The biblical book Song of Songs records "the erotic nature of hair from the verse, 'Your hair is as a flock of goats' (Song of Songs, 4:1), i.e., from a verse praising her beauty." Jewish law around the time of Jesus stipulated that a married woman who uncovered her hair in public evidenced her infidelity.

Samantha im glad to see you actually following the scripture as many christians like to cherry pick, or add stuff to the bible to their liking or add pagan rituals. I'm a muslim have you ever read the quran? In a passage in John :16, in the bible it clearly quotes Jesus (peace n blessings) has many things of truth, but we cannot bear them now and that a comforter will come along. When the comforter comes he will prove the world in the wrong about sin. (John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.) This is our prophet Mohammed! In which he received the quran through an angel. In the Quran there is a whole chapter dedicated to mother Mariem. The quran verifies certain stuff in the bible and refutes others. We as muslims love honour Jesus, we believe he is the messiah, a chosen prophet. But we do not pray to Jesus, nor Mohammed we only pray directly to God, without associating partners to him. The greatest sin in the Quran is associating partners to God, just exactly what trinitarians are doing. No where in the bible does it speak about the trinity. The quran clearly states that is the biggest sin. So if you fear God all mighty pray to him directly. Because in the bible it states Jesus is the way! Meaning follow him as he worships, but do not worship him. We as muslims follow Mohammed he showed us how to pray, which is the same way Jesus prayed, bowing to the floor humbling yourself to the creator. Sister I pray that you are guided closer to God.

@April G Islam and christianity are very very similiar, with many things in common. We believe in Moses, Ibrahim, Jesus peace and blessing to them all we love respect and honor them equally. We believe Jesus was the mighty messiah of God, SENT to guide people straight. We believe Jesus was born to a miracles birth from Marry without a father, plus the quran has more miracles of Jesus the bible does not have. We believe 100% in the words Jesus preached. What we differ on is a large sect of christians believe in the trinity (which is NOT in the bible). Thinking Jesus is God through the trinity, this is the biggest sin in Islam. Associating God to his creation. The bible in its entirely has many contradictions and mistakes, it was made 400 years after the death of christ we dont know who the authors are. There are no errors in Gods word, thats why the Quran is free of errors or contradictions. I am not saying the whole of the bible is false, there are many passage that the Quran confirms. In the bible (John 16:12 jesus is stating there will be a comforter, arriving after his death. "I have many things to say unto you but you cannot bear them now, when "HE" the spirit of truth, will quide you all into truth for he shall not speak for himself but whatsoever "HE" hears that shall he speak and he will show you things to come). Clearly Jesus is talking about prophet Mohammed, in which angel Gabriel spoke to. So you see its important for you to read the quran, if you truly want to pass on judgment day. Just like how the Jews went against Jesus, YOU christians are doing the same to Mohammed he came to correct the errors that are man made in the bible. If you look at it, we muslims are more followers of christ then the christians. We pray like jesus, moses, ibrahim by bowing to the ground, with our forheads on the ground submitting to only one God. Our sisters, majority of them cover their heads just like sister mary. You can call us evil liers, but the facts are Islam is the largest growing religion, soon it will surpass christianity.
@ibidu1
@ibidu1 Жыл бұрын
@April G The word Islam, means full raw submission to God All Mighty. We 100% do not pray to Mohammed, nor to any other prophet. The Prophets Moses, Ibrahim, Noah, Jesus, Mohammed peace and blessings to them all were great noble messenger sent by God. Mohammed is the way to God, just like Jesus was, follow their teachings and you will enter to heaven. We do not believe Jesus died for our salvation, because we do not believe a blood sacrifice is needed. We also do not believe we are born into sin. We believe as a baby, you are 100% pure without sin. The concept of trinity is not in the bible, and it does not even hint at it. Concept came later about 400 years at the councel of nicea where christians debated about who christ was. We believe unitariun christians will go to heaven, because they belief in oneness in God with out partners. It is impossible for Jesus to be God, and should not be worshipped. You should worship the God of Jesus, and Moses whom they all bowed in prayed to. Once again sister, I sincerely pray you avoid the trinity, because it associates partners to God. God alone is to be worshipped, but keep and love jesus as a role model.

@April G Ok complete the verse to leave it in context (John 14:17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees "HIM" (meaning a person) nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.) We muslims we dont believe Jesus died on the cross, because God promised protection to Jesus. God raised Jesus, and replaced someone who looks like Jesus. Jesus will return for a 2nd coming is our belief. The quran is a miracle! The Quran actually challenges you, bring one chapter like it, or find one error or contradiction in it. Until this day nobody has been able to find fault in the original text. But to really appreciate the quran its best to read it in arabic, its almost like poetry how it flows together, because it cannot be changed as many muslims around the world have it memorized word for word, even young childeren have it memorized fully. (1 Corinthein 14:33 When we encounter conflicting opinions about gospel truths, it is good to remember that “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace”) Sister these are the words of God almighty, open the Quran and see for yourself with an open mind and heart
@ibidu1

@April G You cant base your salvation on something that has been changed or has flaws. Its like using a tape measure, that you know has errors in it. We believe the message Jesus preached as 100% correct without flaws and we believe in the injeel. Jesus preached in aramic a semetic language similiar to arabic. The bible is in greek, not Jesus fluent language, then translated to english. We do not have the original injeel. What we have is a gathering of books with some truth to it and stuff is not true. Sadly in christianity there is a lot of paganism rituals, that many of the church members used to lure the pagans of the time.

@April G Man has changed the bible, to fit their narrative at that time. which is why prophet mohammed came as Jesus christ mentioned in: John 16:7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. John 16:8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: (Which our prophet Mohammed has revealed) John 16: 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; (this confirms the islamic belief that Jesus was raised to God) In islam everything is accounted to a level of degrees of accuracy. We can tell you exactly who wrote the quran, and who wrote the hadiths (saying of the life of Mohammed) Not everything passes that is published is credible, so there is correct hadiths and not correct. There are very strict checks and balances.

Have you read Leviticus 19:28. If God put covering your head in your heart do it. He put it in my heart not to wear pants. Your answer should be God put it in your heart. I want people to think I'm a Christian.

I have read Leviticus 19:28, what has that got to do with a head covering? Besides we are under grace now not the law. Not wearing pants? How does this glorify God? and also you mentioned you want people to think you are a Christian. It is by your FRUITS that they will know you.

May God bless you! Yes, in Deuteronomy 22:5 it talks about not wearing the opposite sex's clothing. Pants were created for men and women took it as a way to say they also have the authority to dress like men and be like them. The women who proposed and brought this up were involved in spiritualism and the spiritual movement. Wearing men's clothing (pants, etc.) supports the androgyny movement and eventually gay rights, etc. which is an insult to God. God put it on my heart years ago to not wear pants, make up, artificial hair and I have been so blessed and gotten so close to Him these past years! Please listen to the Holy Spirit if He has put this on your heart and let Him guide you. God will be the One to judge as based on our obedience to Him or not. May God be with you and I will be praying that He reveals more understanding to you!

@@backtobat2 Hi my sister, I would ask that you pray and let God show you about not wearing pants, makeup, etc. May God bless you for covering your head, but let's please not stop there and let's keep going so He transforms us completely. Thank you.

Pants also show a woman's nakedness to the world. They outline your private area and separate your legs; all very erotic to men. It is not considered modest or virtuous for a Christian woman.

I agree with this message Wholeheartedly, however I recommend ye refrain from wearing jewelry as it is of the flesh nd against our Father think about why it’s so hard to let go of (Bondage) Most unnatural things which are of the world will give lead way into sin, we must deny our flesh. Are we ready to go before the Throne of our Father? I Love All🫀

you are stepping into legalism now. We live under grace. The call to wear a head covering is a calling not a rule.

Thank you for sharing, the bible does tell us, we are to wear a covering when we pray or prophesying 1 Corinthians 11:5. It is also a protection, A head covering is spiritual protection for all those who are in a covenant relationship with God. 1 Corinthians 11:10, we will have protection from the fallen angels.
