Didn’t realize at the moment the favor she was doing me but after a few months of being away from her toxic behavior It finally dawned on me. Never been happier and wish I could thank her but don’t want to be near negative and toxic individuals so I’ll never thank her I guess. Hopefully my next companion can appreciate the simple things in life, like companionship, good conversation, experiencing new foods, watching Netflix, sleeping in at times, reading a book on a beach,and traveling together. I’m going to enjoy life while still young and not worry about working. I’m 47 years young, plus young at heart, full of energy and most importantly much much wiser.

Don't ever apologise mate, telling the truth always offend the weak minded and those that are sensitive. I agree with you 1000% I am a western man (Australian) and I had my share of partners over the years (white women) and I got sick and tired of being treated poorly, cheated on, dis-respected and so on. I found out that many Asian women possess traditional values, were respectful and caring and looked after their men as long as you took care of them also. I ended up marrying one 23 years ago and we are still together with two grown daughters. I met my wife here in Australia back in 1999 and I had never been to the Filipines until 2018, a full 19 years after we first met. We are like any other couple, we disagree on things, sometimes argue when we see things differently and we also love each other regardless of those differences. One thing I learned very early on was to respect her culture, food choices and their love of gathering with their friends etc. I never stopped her from being who she is and she did the same for me. Perfect match. I will tell you that some of the white women I used to be in relationships with I still know today, friends on FB etc but none of them seem very happy to this day. They seem to treat men like crap, and wonder why they are still single all these years. They explain that all men are bad but cannot see they are the cause of their own loneliness. I actually feel bad for them but it makes me glad that I made the decision to marry an Asian woman. I am very happy and content now.

I don't think I have ever commented on a KZbin video before but I really feel the need to. I found your channel this morning and have just spent probably 3 hours watching your videos. I was smiling for most of all of them. And this one I finally broke when you told the birthday food story. I have had a few serious and a few short-term relationships in the U.S. and none of them were genuinely satisfying. None. I was with a Turkish girl for 6 years, mostly long-distance except when I was living short term in Istanbul or she flew to Chicago (she got a job at Emirates Airline to be able to come see me more). I loved her so much but things didn't work out and I ended what was the best relationship I ever had. I have been all over the world, and all over the U.S. and find that you are spot on with your assessment. Having been generally stuck in the U.S. since 2019 when my relationship ended, I have become so lonely - for many reasons. I have begun to think about how and when I am going to move to Portugal, or Bali, or the Philippines. All great places, but the weight of your honesty just pushed me much further toward the Philipines because I am at a point where love like this is a priority for me. Anyway... I didn't mean for this comment to be about me, I meant for it to be about how much hope you brought me. I'm comparing the Philippines and New Zealand actually... I know NZ is relatively westernized and shares many of the same problems in dating as the US but I do also love the culture and people, there's good jobs there in my field of VFX and was thinking maybe since there's a large Asian and Maori population that maybe just focusing more on women from those cultures would be enough to find some of the qualities I'm looking for. Plus I'm American so hopefully that would help me stand out. Is this a pipe dream you think or naw? I just worry that the Philippines would be such a massive culture shock and that I'd have a harder time finding a school to put the kids, I'm concerned about the fact that I couldn't own property whereas NZ there's strong property rights, and also NZ seems safer and there's no language barrier at all... I’m even happy to leave the do open to them immigrating to the US but America just has so many problems right now, namely with the culture wars and this admin dragging us into a proxy war with Russia that it seems to be an empire on the decline. I don’t want my family in the line of fire, I just gotta go. I was married once and she divorced me after 24 years supposedly for being too strict with our son. So far he’s turning out to be a wonderful young man with great values.

The excuse for divorcing you will never be based on reality, but rather based on the figment of her imagination. Sounds like she did you a favor. Like you, I think I would have sacrificed my own happiness, for the sake of having my two sons grow under a traditional marriage. However, when our spouses filed for divorce, we had no choice. The decision was unilaterally made. Now, we can rejoice in having taken the high ground, we're free of the toxic relationship. Our son(s) adore us, and we've moved on to better relationship prospects. Not that I'm in a new relationship, but I'm excited about what the future might bring given all I have to offer. Stay strong, my brother.

@@SergioPerez-qf1mb Wow! Thank you for your kind words. So true my son and daughter have stated how much they miss “our family” and we’ve bonded even more. Quite the opposite of what the ex-wife wanted. She even tried to turn them against me. Not only that but falsely alleged I hit her and called the cops. Fortunately, it was all on video and when the officer began to ask me if I ever feared for my life or felt in danger I took the high road and didn’t pursue charges against her. After all, the outcome via courts was awesome no child support nor spousal maintenance, I keep my retirement 100% and only had to pay her $5,299.50 after her and her attorney were trying to extort me for $185K. So here I am enjoying myself, retirement in the not so distant future and completely 100% debt free and I mean COMPLETELY debt free!!! Life is beautiful. Thank you once again.

It’s a very, very tiny fraction of the population every year. The stats that I found is this: Approximately 0.028% of the female population in the Philippines marry foreign men annually, based on the data from 2020. 3 in 10,000. Many of these women are older and have a child out of wedlock, so they are not on the regular dating market for most Filipino guys. These are second chance marriages. Also, 1 in 5 marriages, the Filipino guy is married to the Foreign woman. A lot of these Filipinos are already in our country are medical professionals, teachers and IT professionals. They left your dating market and are in our market. I met my wife in the US and the same is true for our son. The financial impact on families in the Philippines is big also. We’ve financed sibling education, built homes, paid medical bills and help parents come to the US. So, I do think this is a good thing for both countries. Happiness is multiplied, where there would otherwise be a gap.

I completely agree with everything that was said about American women in this video. After being married for 19 years to an American woman and fighting over the most trivial things year after year, we divorced and I then found that our western culture was simply not a suitable dating culture for me so I chose to look overseas and found a traditional woman who still treats men with respect. Thank God that there are still women in the world with traditional values that place more value on the relationship than just what a man can buy for them.

With traditional values, do you mean that she stays at home and is financially dependent on you? My ex was a stay-at-home mom, depended on me financially, and pretty much ruined me financially, both during our marriage as well as during the divorce. It's been pretty traumatic, so hesitant to start something with someone who I have to support financially.
@bobditty2 жыл бұрын
@Arnaud Installe my first marriage to my american ex wife ruined me financially after she cheated and left me for him so i do understand. But my current wife is not like that at all. She supports me, she's going to school (online for pennies) to work someday, and she is unbelievably loving and supportive. Wants the man to lead me but helps work through issues to help better both of us. It's a wonderful relationship. But sorry man, I know everyone's story is different. Try not to get too bitter. I've been there, I know all about it. Let yourself grieve then work hard on not getting bitter because that makes things worse. I've been down that path!
@arnaudinstalle2 жыл бұрын
@@bobditty thanks for your reply. It's not so much that I'm bitter (although I guess I have some of that as well towards middle-aged women who divorced their husbands), as that I'm really scared of starting something with someone who depends on me financially. One thing you did not touch on that is important is you took your time, got to know her, brought her to your home country and vetted her properly. The face-to-face time is really important if you want to select correctly. You have done that at home and the Philippines so you knew exactly what her faults were, her strengths and what roles each will have for the relationship to succeed. For a man who is looking for a wife, the Philippines is a really good option if he does not want to learn a different language.

I'm an overweight Mexican American who met his wife at work back in 2012. She's a petite white woman, she's extremely fit (abs with strong muscle tone at about 110lbs at 5ft 4in), she couldn't care any less about brands or anything luxury for that matter, and she is gorgeous. We get stares when we go out because we just don't seem like we'd be together. I don't come from money (we met working at a grocery store) so she's definitely not with me for that. I've been working towards getting into better shape now that we have a daughter together and also because I want her to have some eye candy too. But my point is that it's easy to judge guys who look for overseas wives but your argument is 100% valid. If I wasn't already the luckiest man alive and I was still looking for a partner I think I really would have gone your route because it's what I look for in a woman as well. I appreciate you making this video because this definitely changed my mind on the process and it was fun learning about it!

Thanks for pointing out american women can be petite, kind and not materialistic. I get what this guy is saying because in GENERAL Asian women are more traditional and don't tend towards obesity. However I do not like when ppl stereotype...it gives "passport bro" and immediately makes you think there's something wrong w the guy for not being successful in love in the u.s. But I don't go around saying that because it's not ALWAYS the case. It just isn't. I have never been overweight and I love cooking for my man! A lot of people tend to be bitter because they got taken advantage of due to their own ego/lack of sense. They prefer "easier"(not saying sexual).

Another great video and nice job navigating through a dangerous mine field with the subject matter. Something I think men especially American men need to seriously consider is when you find a Filipina and commit and eventually marry you're going to be getting much more than just a wife. The traditional Filipino values and culture mentioned in this video include an unbreakable close bond with the entire and often very large family. Something I've noticed that is so much different and it actually applies to this entire SE Asia region is the reverence and respect that is given to old people. In many instances in the USA old people/senior citizens are often considered a burden and not worthy of our personal attention or care, we just try to figure out how we can hire a part time or full time care giver or send them off to a retirement center. That method for dealing with the elderly isn't prevalent here at all in fact it's quite the opposite in most cases. Just be aware that if you were like me and had become somewhat accustomed to leading a more solo lifestyle with little to no regular direct interaction with your previous partner's family or even your own family, your experience will likely be the complete opposite in this country. I don't want to give the wrong impression, I love my wife's entire family and it's been just one of many very positive changes that occurred in my life after moving here.
