why i won't be buying precure candy figures 🍭 something has to change

what are your thoughts especially if you too collect precure candy figures? 💕 i am definitely hesitant to buy the premium version of the wonderful precure figures, cause i worry they will never go back to their original quality 😭🩷 also i'm aware of spelling errors 😅 quite literally spelling is so difficult for me i only just now noticed them after uploading the video, but i like my consistent schedule too much to redo it just for a misspelling 💖

Although I'mma but a sucker and still collect them, my favorite figures that I have in my collection will forever be the Star Twinkle Precure ones 😭 I own all of them personally, and geez the quality is SOOOO vastly different, I know for a fact I'll be getting the WanPre Premium ones eventually and I already know the amount of disappointment I'll feel with them, like, the standard HiroGaru ones too me weren't as bad as seasons past, but the fact that the only difference between the standard and the premiums was small lil details being painted in (and there weren't that much more to paint from the standards) and the bases having their names was so disappointing, not to mention that the material changed compared to the Star Twinkle Precure ones, if anyone has held a Cure Star v. Cure Grace would be able to tell the material difference because of the weight! Forgive me for airing out my grievences, but omg, as someone who collected Cutie Figures since Star Twinkle, went on to collect the older seasons and continues to collect the newer ones, it's all so... Annoying. Great Video!!! I've been like, sharing this alongside everyone because it's just so disappointing 😫

If you find anything else online about that I'd be super curious to know if the materials changed too on the figures! I too am thinking of getting the premium Wonderful figures but might paint them myself? Hirogaru was very disappointing, but I want to keep them cause I love the characters so much 🩵

Since Healin Good the quality just decreases.. I have the Star Twinkle ones and KiraKira ones, and they look so much superior.. it's just sad.

I would LOVE the cures getting scale figures, the ones that exist are so pretty and yeah a lot of the audience are children and minors in general but a lot of people aren't, especially since it's been around for so long and it would so nice to see more of them

This was a fantastic video! (Or essay, or presentation.) it was nice to hear about the decline as well as your personal history of the figures. You know it’s sad because I remember when I got my first candy figures (which was the Futari wa & Max Hear sets) I was so shocked at how high quality they were (and even though they were second hand, the price also was very good). Laura from Tropical Rouge was my first I bought since then and I was expecting so much more but was slightly disappointed at the lack of paint apps, and like you said the detail is there it’s just not painted I’m glad they have those “upgraded” wonderful figures too but like why not just do it in the first place? Also I’m sure it’s x2 more expensive to get those ultra detailed figures XD I like how you provided the options/ideas at the end too instead of just concluding on the fact that the new figures suck. I personally would LOVE to see GoodSmile get the licence and make Nendos and Figmas of the characters. Pop up parade would be a great opportunity too. I’m not sure if you noted it but I remember there were these stylized (but I’ll be honest- a little off-putting) figures that they made of some random cures (Fresh & Futari Wa?) that had these HUGE heads with really big eyes… Did Bandai do those too? I don’t dig the aesthetic myself but might be with covering/exploring? Lastly I’m probably wrong, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen candy figures for Splash Star, or atleast figures made in an incredibly similar scale/fashion. They had the same stands as the Futari Wa candy figures… Again not 100% sure, this was back in 2019 so hazy 😅 I regret not buying them.. Also highly recommend the Figuarts, the joints are a lil loose but they’re super detailed and fun to display. I used to bring my Cure Black and White with me everywhere ;-; iirc they only made up to fresh but they’re doing the release of Cure Peach again for the 20th. But to conclude (and my apologies if you had to read it all) FANTASTIC video! Can’t wait to watch your other vids now and hope you do more pretty cure content in future! :)

The quality for the new cutie figures is honestly really sad. I feel like they’ve increased in quality ever since Star Twinkle. (Specifically in Star Twinkle they started to make them with less painted details compared to the lines that came before them.) Sure, the sculpt quality is nice, but the paint job is just plain cheep. Things need to improve.

Yes but I have heard sometimes the joints are poorly made on those which is upsetting 😭

@@gabbyjabbycosplay For what it's worth, he only one in my experience I think truly had bad joints out the gate was Cure Amour (really loose hip joints). Not that others haven't experienced joint weakening over time. But that's also because most of them are pretty old at this point. I think the bigger problem is that some of them are flat out impossible to pose without a stand due to them having pretty bad weight distribution and balancing.

I love you for making a graphical presentation on the topic! I give you absolutely right. I only started collecting precure stuff two years ago, and the candy figures are my favorite, and the ones I try to get the most. I don't understand why there are so many sets of star twinkle, but only one of tropical rouge. They could have done a second set with Cure Lamer, and the girls in uniform or everyday clothes. I was so disappointed with the Wonderful figures, even though the premium ones are better, they still seem incomplete, they are not even remotely compatible with the Hugtto ones. Horrible how prices are increasing, let's remember that these are supposed to be economic figures... However, I was curious: what are the precure series that you have yet to see? I would love to see a video of you where you talk about what you think of the various seasons (if you want to do so). As for me, I started following precure seriously in 2020, and finally, after 4 years, I'm almost done watching them all, I only have Happiness Charge left to complete. I really enjoyed this video, I'm glad you made it.
