That cropped 4K on the A7IV and S5II is one of many reasons I got the R6 Mark II.... same price, but full frame oversampled 4K60 goodness! Plus much less rolling shutter than the A7IV and S5II, and much faster photo FPS for photography.

I dont think that's it. I have an S5 as well, and boost IBIS looks very different than this active stabilization. Boost causes a hard swing when panning, but not a wobble. This wobble is a deep issue I fear, as Canon tried so hard to fix it through firmware and never did fully.

@@ParsclickTV Do you have the S5ii or just the original S5? The wobble is specifically in the S5ii at 24mm and below, and every KZbinr demo Ive seen has those modes turned off and its still there, since its a complex issue w/ the new active stablization. I'll get the S5ii soon and see for myself as well, hope you're right, but the movement doesnt look similar to me to the boost and I'd find it odd if Estab was on for this video. Yeah, the a7Siii cost almost twice much, so wouldn’t make much sense to trade-down to an entry-level FF camera like the S5II. But for those of us with the a7IV, 7c or older Sonys, the S5II is almost a no brainer.

I'm a wildlife photographer/Film maker, the only long wildlife lenses for the S5 II seem to be the Sigma 150-600mm f5-6.3 Sports DG DN OS Lens or the Sigma 100-400 which doesn't have a Lens foot so unable to attach it to a Tripod which it a shame. I was thinking about the Oly OM-1 but thats super noisy at high ISO and I don’t think the auto focus is that good for Video when tracking Birds/animals. I currently have the Canon R5 with 100-500 but I'm getting really strange miccro jitters when close focussing with that setup, which is driving me mad. The IBIS on the 5S II looks amazing in video, I’m very interested to hear how good the Video AF performs.

Talking about slow motion BTW... Lumix S5II and S5IIX don't have new Phase Detect AF in 1080p full frame 50,60,100 and 120 FPS but only old Contrast AF which is the biggest disappointment... So for some reason people who prefer to shoot 1080p FF in slow-mo from 50 to 120 fps they should do that with old glitchy Contrast base AF. Same for all of those who were hoping to upscale 1080p 50-120 fps to 4k - no PDAF. And taking into account it's a video-oriented hybrid camera, it looks like without a firmware update in the next several months almost perfect camera becomes garbage. I preordered S5IIX and now looking forward to the firmware update. Hope they will fix it by the time S5IIX ships. If not - will just move to another brand.
