There is something special about you. I saw it in your clip about Bielsko-Biala which was ex ceptionally good. You seem to be.a person who searches for depth, insight and understanding. This is you. You brought it with you to Poland. But Poland allowed you to do it more freely because of separation and alienation in positive sense. Poles did not intimidate you and did not stunt your growth. Anyway, keep living and doing what you doing.

I love this comment 😁 thank you for the amazing feedback and it’s fair to say I’m an explorer…I love to know what makes a place tick, where it came from and find as many special sights as possible when I go! Also I agree that being in the U.K. did hold me back compared to being here in Poland and I’ve had a lot more freedom and support here 😊

@@britinpoland2392 just think about that - I went to Germany on Saturday before May the 1st with my son to visit Munster Panzer Museum and Laboe U-boat. My run flat tyre in my 150000 euro car malfunctioned… It was 6 pm. I am a handy guy and tried to glue it myself with the spray glue. Was impossible. My Polish assistance turned out to be crap - covering only €250 euro in a scenario of tyre malfunction. I try to talk to a local owner of a garage to help me. Nope - it’s Saturday night and he doesn’t care. I try to borrow a jack from several Germans to lift the car and check the tyre myself. Nobody wants to spare 10 minutes… I used to live in Germany and speak German, have friends - call them. They say only ADAC can help me. Call them - it’s €300 euro just to come and everything is closed in Germany till Tuesday 2nd so our long weekend is gone for me and my son. My assistance offers to send a German company with a flatbed. They fail to show up - it’s 23:00 by the time. My assistance offers another flatbed but they want €700 just to show up. I refuse. Fortunately my 75 years old mom lives 80 km from the border and we just made it a bit behind Berlin. I decide to dump the car for the night on gas station, my mom drives for two hours to pick us up (thank you Google maps!) and I organise a flatbed from Poland in the morning on Sunday (May long weekend). The flatbed is €400 for 350 kms or sth like that. We find a tyre shop willing to help me and they sell me and install two used run flat tyres that fit my 4x4 system for €300. Everything with a smile and compassion. We hit the road on Sunday afternoon and keep the schedule with sightseeing and education. That’s the difference between Poland and Germany… During the stay in Germany we meet multiple Germans with varying stance towards us - some are unpleasant and unhelpful despite being paid by us, some help us and give their time or free tiny stuff (like German parking card that is only recognised by their police…) :-/

I just turned 60 living in Canada and I have to say that in my your openness to life is the right approach, you have to implicitly trust that it leads you in the right direction for you. I would have similar observations about my life in Canada, but I can relate to your keen observations about Polish people.

I'm glad I found your channel, because I relate to many of the things you've said. I'm originally from New Zealand, I was very nomadic during my early twenties, travelling and working around the world due to my, let's say feeling of claustrophobia of island living, and a lack of cultural exposure in NZ. I worked in Romania, for awhile, back to Australia, on to Estonia, Germany, and eventually was offered a job in Poland. Before accepting it, I flew from Australia to Gdansk for a short trip, eventually accepted the job and relocated to a small town. I stayed in that job for about 4 years (the longest I've ever stayed in one place) and during that time I really grew to appreciate and love the people and culture of Poland! At some point I got a bit tired of living in Poznan and was offered paid relocation to Finland for another job, I thought I would regret it if I didn't at least try it out, and after one year here, I am really wishing I had stayed in Poland. I really miss the people and culture, oh the lovely food too. I never really vibed with Polish women, but I at least made a lot of good male friends :D It's the perfect place to raise a family, what a person imbibes from the culture and environment leads to I think a very nicely balanced individuals, sincere and loving people, it almost makes me tear up just thinking about it, I guess I do adore that country! Also it is the imperfections that make it beautiful.

A very interesting approach to leadership "I wasn't really a manger, but I was helping people". Majority of leaders I met in my life claimed to be THE Manager but never helped anybody. Excellent channel. I noticed on your roadmap 'Powazki'. A very good choice, please remember that there is more than one cemetery (communal and military). There is a very beautiful Jewish cemetery behind the fence too (not sure about the access nowadays though). Enjoy Poland!

Good for you. Thanks for sharing. Ironically living in the UK (as a Pole) has helped me after my messy divorce. The only thing is the physical distance between me and my son who lives in Poland. What I'd like to say is that I do miss being allowed to be direct and open and do not having to care about pc and offending someone (just being a human). Brits are taught not to show their true feelings and emotions (which I think is unhuman) But this is just my opinion Best of luck

Sorry to hear about the distance between you and your son, I can relate in part as I have similar with my family back in the U.K. and although I can always fly home to see them you always have to find that time from somewhere and count the cost of the travel. Also agree…life is so much easier when people are open and direct and it is one of the main things I love here, communication is so much straightforward and offending people in casual conversation is very rare!

I live in Manchester, uk. 5years already. Mover over here because of the man although I didn’t want to leave Poland that easily - didn’t have a bad life there. Then I experienced discrimination, shitty conditions of living, working waaay below my education level with nasty Brits. Everything changed when I got a great job with nice people as well. I used to live in Germany years ago as well and what I can say - there are pros and cons of every nation. There are racists and people who discriminate in every country as well- even in Poland - though - more towards people from poorer countries than Poland. All my experiences taught me so many things I cannot even explain - maturity, empathy, to not have an opinion before checking things myself. England has a big problem with class divisions and it’s not working class who is problematic - is middle and higher class which is looking from above towards poorer and “other”. It’s funny cause it used to be the same in Poland when the aristocracy meant something. Partition of Poland, world wars and communism - all of it together - changed it. It was learning the hard way .

Good luck with trying to get citizenship! I believe it takes years to get. I met an Englishman in Krakow who has been living there for seven years and he too only has a plastic card that looks like a driving licence and he has to wait yet more years before he can be a citizen. I was in Warsaw some years ago as I had to sit a B1 Polish langue examination and I believe that you still need to pass this on your journey to citizenship. As you are living there, you will soon pick up the language. If you qualify under the Withdrawal Agreement, you can stay anyway and they can not throw you out, even if they want to. Good luck!

@@britinpoland2392 It helps if you are married to a Polish citizen. I believe that I can live in Poland for two years and qualify for residency due to the fact that my wife was born near Czestochowa. However, I am not sure as I have never lived there, only been there for holidays. You may need to have a language certificate called a B1, which you can take at different venues around the country several times a year. I took mine in the winter in Warsaw some years ago and met some very interesting people from several other eastern block countries. I was told in a college in Krakow when I was there last that you need to be very quick to book the slot as so many Ukrainians are desperate to get citizenship the places are advertised on line and the places are full within minutes.

You’re making some good points around 13:00 minutes…I have a feeling England was similar culturally to Poland, maybe between 50s-80s? And that’s why you’re comfortable there, it’s more traditional like you said but not ‘backwards’ or ‘uncivilised’…I have more thoughts about the topic but this would be the gist of it. Completely agree, having grown up in the 80’s you could say I was able to see a different way of life and be part of a slightly more traditional England. These are changing times for Poland, after the recent election the country will be divided, many happy and hopeful and many who are worried and concerned about what the future holds. The change you are worried about is already in many parts of this country, but it doesn’t come from the spread of people like in the U.K. but from the media and changing ideas in the world. Ever since Poland joined the EU and broke away from Russia it has been growing and growth means change. What I hope for is that people don’t forget where they come from and stick true to their traditions and over time I want to talk more and more about what Poland should be proud of, not about what should change but why it is a special country. My videos would only influence a very small number of people to actually move here is any, however I hope they encourage people to visit and see the wonders of this country, tourism is always good for the economy!

Takie to wesołe panstwo prawa i sprawiedliwości haha.

@@soltysdesign W każdym kraju obywatele narzekają na swój rząd . Oprócz Korei płn , Chin i Rosji . Możesz to zrobić . Z tego co wiem to jakieś 30% wniosków jest odrzucanych więc 70% przechodzi . A nóż dostaniesz 700 tys , albo i więcej . Warto zawalczyć .

As a polish native , you occur to me as a geek and dork. Terrible person to be friends with, however after this video I would give you few chances 🙂 Keep it up. 💪

@@britinpoland2392 From your video description I can see you are looking for free handouts. True Life is about hard work and dedication . I cannot see these values in your videos. Its true propaganda like in Soviet Union. I like some things about United Kindgdom. It doesnt mean shit.

@@TheZagiello I do enjoy educating people…so todays lesson goes to you… All my videos are free to watch on KZbin, so that means you get lovely free content to enjoy almost every week… Making these videos is not free for me…I have to spend a lot of time and money to record, make and research the videos on my channel, I have even bled for this channel and I’m not so in your face as many other KZbinrs about self promotion… If people give me money in the form of Patreon/patronite donations I appreciate it and make sure they are recognised, I do not force anyone to pay anything it is completely voluntary and you will find many people in the ‘art’ community (for film making is a form of art) need help to keep going…many people would be paid as professionals for the kind of work I do and I have literally been to more of Poland than most Polish people and spent hundreds of hours working on these videos… If you want to continue to be a troll Carry on…each comment you make no matter how ill-informed only increases my strength with the KZbin algorithm 😌
