a lot of psa 10s and 9s have 10-15k each but if you think about it theres almost 1 billion english speaking people in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia/NZ. out of that maybe 10-15million people are actively collecting english pokemon cards. 15-20k psa 10's is not enough to go around. i think in the next 2 years graded cards are gonna explode

It's interesting to learn more about this hobby, particularly the history from where we've been to where we are now. The rise of the alt-arts, then the popularity of the trainer and Galarian galleries in the later SW&SH sets to the silver borders and the new rarity categories of the S&V sets. The quality of the art just keeps getting better and the money follows. I am so happy to have gotten back into this hobby in the last 6 months. It's been so fun to collect the S&V sets.

There are obviously a ton of factors at play but I think the 1,2 punch was Pokemon Pocket + Surging Sparks (Pikachu set) is what lit the fuse. Well done Pokemon Company. You played yourself.

I was grabbing PSA 10 Ninetales for around $80AUD per slab in early 2024, I had a good feeling they would do ok but never imagined they’d be this much now, I was expecting it to take at least 4 to 5 years. Another top video Michael, looking forward to the follow up 👍

Insanely under the radar play is the paldean fates IRs. There are only 3 of them and they are still $1 or less on tcg player but basically every other SV IR is $3+ if not more

I think the #1 reason is few people are able to find or afford the more overhyped sets Surging Sparks and Prismatic Evolutions. So the next best thing is to just collect the singles from previous sets while it's still cheap. That's what I'm doing.

Yea agree with this. The yellow borders have definitely slowed down the trainer galleries. The gengar from lost origin has a similar pull rate to the bulbasaur / squirtle from stellar crown. But those are 6x as expensive. The yellow just cheapens the card.

Idk if you realised it afterwards, but IR's are basically 1/12 or 1/13 packs, not 1/32. Those are the pull rates of SIR's in some sets.😌 Also, the Black & White sets are gen 5, not gen 4.
