Nice analysis. One more factor I like to add for this achievement is the control over English and knowledge of other languages like Spanish etc. Language makes communication easy. English of educated Indians is better than English speaking communities. Second factor is integrity and honesty towards the work they are entrusted and willingness to work more hours. This is in Indian culture and hence the development in India is also fast.

Indians have been in America since 1950s . I have lived in America since early 70s. There were about 200,000 Indians students, doctors, and other professions of which only 25-30,000 were Citizens of USA and green card holders. Rest were on non immigrant visas. Indian students were welcomed in most universities and so were doctors who did internships and residencies in various hospitals. My aunt came to America in 1963 as an intern and became chief of her discipline in Paediatrics. Success comes when you put your head down and work hard!

The biggest reason is the cultural difference between India and most of the other countries. #Aaliya Not always true. I know lot of my friends from Pakistan they also make great money as they are hardworking and honest. Yes, volume is certainly low compared to Indians. Engineers from Pakistan origin are very skilled as well. I have experienced that 4/5 Engineers from Pakistan are really skilled whereas 2/5 among Indians. Dont get me wrong but this is my experience.

As a recent arrival in US ( dont know if you got immigrant status) you are seeing just a tip of iceberg as to achievements of Indian Americans since 1960s.
