WHY INDIANS ASK SO MUCH FOR SELFIES?!

Throughout our 4 week trip in India we were approached everyday, all the time, by people wanting to take pictures with us.

Reason 1: They hardly see white, Asian, or Black people around them, also most of them have never travelled outside India so definitely they are surprised and fascinated by foreigners. Reason 2: Most of the people you see in such videos come mostly from rural India or lower income groups as it can be seen from their clothes and accessories. So these people are really fascinated by foreigners, for these people its a really a big think to click picture with a foreigner, its same like clicking a selfie with a famous person or something unique like aliens 😅 (There are a lot of foreigners working especially in IT industry visit several cyber cities of India and attend corporate parties and nobody stares at them or ask for selfies.) Reason 3: Most of them don't understand the meaning of personal space but definitely they are not harrassing you because you are a female (not everyone* some of them can). As Indian women also ask for selfies.

I really do not agree with you. How can this kind of "relationship" gives joy and means a lot, even the MOST? They are just taking selfies, because your skin is white... How superficial is that. Not seeing behind the surface, who you are, what values you have, or whatever. I am in India for 4 months now, and seeking for honest, deep and genuine connection, and fed up with selfies. Go, stay with locals, do couchsurfing, and you will see how a selfie really means nothing in a human relationship

I went with a mexican girl one woth large breast cinched waist and big butt and long hair. Those beautiful mexican latina types. We couldnt even be in public with crowds for more than a few minutes even in delhi.
