We still got AAA dev with the heart and creativity of indie studios like FromSoft, Eidos, RGG studio, Nintendo (aside from their messed up business practice), Larian studios, Tango Gameworks etc. Although they're not as experimental or innovative as (good) indie studio, they still deliver great and fresh AAA titles

One of the biggest issues indie games, and AAA games as well, face is the shear number of games being released every week. Probably 95% of games released don't get any coverage on Steam or any other gaming sites or media outlets. It's become very difficult for game developers to get noticed by gamers so they have to go to great lengths to get that attention. The other major issue is them releasing games in a broken or half baked state and then fixing them in the 6-12 months after launch. Most gamers will try a game and if it's not working, will simply refund and move on to the next game. Companies need to stop this trend if they want to be successful, especially the indie companies as they have to fight harder than the AAA companies to get noticed.

Minecraft developers never actually developing anything truly new in the game for a decade is hilarious to me. Like yall have one of the most popular games of all time that’s literally just blocks and you couldn’t develop a new world in 10 years💀💀💀 the game is literally centered around blocks, yall literally have it so easy compared to any other game studio and you couldn’t make anything new for 10 years🤦🤦

Just curious where do people get this idea that idie games are drawfing AAA games in terms of sales ? It seems when look at the sales of AAA games and compare that with sales with indie games, it doesnt seem to be the case even when you look at the profits. It seems like people who enjoy indie games are more vocal for their love of it as opposed to those who love AAA games, but the games that have more people liking or atleast buying it are AAA.
