Why is 1994's Killer Instinct So Beloved?

One of the greatest single-player experiences of all time. It was so over-the-top, haunting and dynamic that the dopamine receptors went up to 11 and stayed there for hours. There was absolutely minimal cheese factor and the audio was incredible. You truly felt cool playing this game.

I remember studying the heck outta a magaZine to learn all the combos. Plus, I had a booklet/pamphlet that came with another magaZine which had all the regular and finishing moves. We was unstoppable back in the day. Peace!-)

Killer Instinct 1994 is the definition of a fighting game so broken and unbalanced, it strangely makes the game so much fun to play. The KI series is better than the Mortal Kombat series.
