Why is Buddhism not evangilical in nature

Why are Buddhist not actively engaged in missionary work unlike the followers of other religion? Based on Buddhist doctrines, Ven. Dr. K. Sri Dhammandanda approached this question from an ethical and non theistic viewpoint.
