Is there any extraordinary teaching in Buddhism which we cannot find in any other religion? Ven. Dr. K. Sri Dhammananda makes this distinction from the historical perspective during the time of the Buddha. The major doctrinal difference is covered by Ven. Dr. H. Gunaratana.

Jainism is a perfect religion which gives guarantee to mukti.Accepting karma as ur own deeds is nothing but suffering. Buddhism is very similar to Jainism but jains r vegetarians.

Jainism is good. But it's very extremist, sometimes it brings delusional ideas about non-violence and celibacy, like wearing masks to avoid inhaling microorganisms, imposing extreme vegetarianism, living naked and so on... Mahabira lived his whole life naked himself... It also have delusional teachings like jiva (the tirthankaras become gods), soul etc.

No other religion say their followers should suffer or torture. They don’t say accept anything on face value either. I know very good people who are non Buddhists. I have learnt a lot from my Christian friends. I have learnt from them how to be a good human being. We can learn from other faiths. I met Muslim people who are great human beings. This is what many of us don’t take into account. First and foremost we need to look at each other and think, “what do we see in the person standing next to me? Do I see a caste, a religion, a faith, a creed or anything else? No. I only see a human being”, just like all the other human beings around me. If I look at a dog, do I see it like a cat? If I look at a flower, a Lotus for example, do I see it as something else other than as a beautiful flower? Buddhism is a philosophy. Buddha’s explanations were common sense. I don’t like reading very much, so, everything I have learnt so far was by listening and analysing what I hear. No religion or faith advocates cruelty. It’s up to us, individually make the decisions. If I want to be cruel, I can be. It’s up to me. If I want to be kind, it’s up to me as well. Nothing is going to change my mind. Therefore, without realising, I’m suffering. Suffering comes within and not from outside to inside. In our mind, we carry guilt if we commit a crime, if we lie, etc, etc. and we suffer as a result. If I get headaches, my shoulders and neck ache, my whole body is on fire, burning as if I am in hell and if I experience fear, anxiety, regret, followed by bad thoughts derive from bottling up anger and jealousy. This is my own fault. No one taught me to be like this. I have a brain to think, don’t I? Then when we feel unwell, depressed, we run to the doctor and he prescribes anti depressants and painkillers, but nothing helps. Why? Because our mind is clogged up with the latter. No religion tells me to be like this. It’s me. I induced the suffering in my body, therefore I am responsible for my suffering. I cannot blame anyone else, any other faith or my own faith. I cannot say, Buddhism alone can help you to overcome this suffering either. What I’m getting at is, before following a religion seriously, we need to be good human beings. That’s the religious way of life. It doesn’t matter what religion we believe in. As I said, I met such wonderful human beings who taught me many lessons about compassion, kindness, giving and honesty, and above all about being true to yourself first. Buddhism is way of life. Just like all the other faiths. Be a good human being, all religions teach the same. In order to find everlasting peace, we have to be a good human being. Religion does guide our minds towards discipline . However, we alone are responsible for our way of life, no matter what faith or religion you believe in. Many believe in caste, colour and creed. Many are prejudice. If I am not a true religious person, if I am a prejudice person, then despite every religious thing I do to gain Merit, wishing to reach Nirvana for example, fails. I have learnt much from other people who are believers of other faiths.

Being a human being does not give you Moksha or mukti. Ahimsa paramo dharmo meaning non violence is the main religion. When u r seeing a person u r seeing an atma not caste, religion or something which is created by humans. How can say a good Muslim or Christian when they r still cruel to animals by eating.

But in the shade of these types of things, Christianity, Islam and other religions preach their doctrines and dogmas. That's only a cunning method. Only fools are conceived by these sugary outlays. Behind those, all inhumane natures are hiding.
